This cabin in the woods is the perfect getaway. You will enjoy the easy access on the flat PAVED driveway that makes it easy to get in and out of your car. The cabin is all on one level and has only three steps to go up making this an easy place to unload suitcases, kids, groceries and more! The property is lush and has a gorgeous mountain view. Lots of wildlife - golden hawks, fox, rabbit, squirrels, birds and deer are visiting with you!

You will enjoy the huge screen porch that surrounds the whole cabin with long range mountain views. Sit a spell in the ROCKING CHAIRS and relax in the cool mountain air. The cabin is 1700 square feet with cathedral ceilings - bright and open. The big living room has brand new everything - comfy couches, a GREAT BIG FLAT SCREEN TV above the mantle, beautiful artwork AND a gas FIREPLACE with a rock wall hearth. Beside the living room is the dining area with a beautiful carved dining room table with chairs for 6. Perfect for family dinners, board games or cards!

We provide HIGH SPEED INTERNET ACCESS & FREE LOCAL PHONE CALLS.

It is a fantastic place to gather with lots of friends and family but cozy and romantic for two! The kitchen has brand new appliances including a fridge with ice maker, DISHWASHER, stove, lots of countertop space PLUS a breakfast bar and another table for 4! When people say you spend most of your time in the kitchen - it's because you won't want to leave!! The view from the kitchen table is more mountains - just gorgeous for big breakfasts! We supply everything you will need for cooking. Our dishes and flatware are beautiful just in case you want to have company over! There's a coffee maker, toaster, and microwave. All the conveniences of home.

The master bedroom is magnificent with a king sized KINGSDOWN BED - truly the most comfortable bed in the world. Flat screen TV, high quality 400 count sheets, and attached master bath with a JACUZZI tub plus separate shower and double vanity make this the perfect rest and relaxation master bedroom getaway. Double doors close you off from the world outside!

The other two bedrooms each have a walk in closet and also have Kingsdown beds. Two twins in one and a queen in the other give you plenty of options.

The cabin is located in BUCK MOUNTAIN, a gated community that boasts a stocked fish pond, over 100 miles of ATV trails, a 65 foot water fall, hiking trails, picnic pavilion, and community fire pit. Our yard has it's own fire pit and lots of hiking room.

We are located 30 minutes from Sugar Mountain if you like to ski. We are halfway between Boone and Wilkesboro on Highway 421. Although we feel "way out in the country" we are only 10 or 15 minutes from Walmart and Lowe's Food store (depends on how fast you drive!) And the DRIVE IS EASY without lots of twisty roads.

WE ARE DOG FRIENDLY and allow well behaved, TRAINED pets. There is a $35. pet fee which is left with the cleaning fee in the cabin upon your departure. Our excellent cleaner must steam clean with an allergen remover between poochie guests in case the next human has allergies! This also keeps our cabin sparkling clean and pet odor free for everyone. We pride ourselves on having SPARKLING CLEAN accommodations for you at all times!

We are 14.7 miles to Boone city limit, and 7 miles to the BLUE RIDGE PARKWAY. We are about 20 minutes from Appalachian State University and 15 minutes to Downtown Wilkesboro. We are very familiar with the area so if you have ANY QUESTIONS please email or call and we will help you plan your perfect vacation. We also provide a BOOK OF FAVORITES filled with the local restaurant menus, coupons, state parks, fishing, lake charters, ski info, day trips and more. We especially like to eat so we will give you the local hot spots for the best bar-b-que, fried chicken, and (MY favorite) biscuits and gravy.

We have built a wonderful ramp off the back screen porch that is great for anyone who has limited mobility... children not used to stairs,older pets, and of course ANYBODY wheeling suitcases to the cabin and even wheelchairs or Little Rascals or walkers. The home has no interior stairs and wide corriders.

  • My wife and I had a wonderful stay over Thanksgiving. The views were wonderful, and the back porch was great for morning coffee and a book. Our Mastiff loved the ramp, which made for easy access. The cabin is easy to get to, yet removed,quiet, peaceful, and tranquil. An A+ destination.

  • My husband and I were looking for the "perfect place" for our 25th wedding anniversary. This beautiful mountain cabin went far beyond our expectations. It sits down a long paved driveway where it is so quiet and serene. We loved being secluded. (It was so nice to be away from the hustle/bustle of the city.) The wrap-around screen porch with it's comfy rocking chairs became our "perch" as we daily soaked in the breath-taking view of the mountains. Our dog loved the porch as well...she had so much room to "scout out" the view. Inside...well, we felt like we were living in Southern Living magazine...all the rooms are so beautifully decorated, all 1700 sq. feet! There's a washer/dryer if needed...king size bed/jacuzzi. It is a wonderfully romantic place to spend an anniversary...more than spacious enough to bring the whole gang (3 bedrooms). The kitchen is huge...so much space to prepare that "big mountain breakfast!" The cabin is spotless and there is NO trace of "doggie odor/stains" anywhere (they do accept dogs). Restaurants/fishing pond/waterfall..all close by. We felt like we were so pampered with all the amenities. It's a grand place to make memories...we can't wait to come back.

  • We had such a lovely vacation at your luxurious mountain cabin. The location was perfect for visiting our boys at APP STATE. They didn't want to leave to go back to their housing and actually stayed with us for 4 days - hiking the woods and feeding the deer. We made a fire each night and watched the stars come out - just like when they were little boys. We would like to come back as soon as we can. You provide a wonderful retreat.   • Dear Debra Jo, We cannot begin to tell you what a wonderful week we had in your beautiful Fawn Forest Cabin. First, we had no trouble unloading like we usually do at other cabins. The flat driveway was heaven sent! But we were even more surprised when we went in and saw how big, how clean, how wonderfully decorated, and how new and MODERN everything was! I loved having the dishwasher. In fact we had a dinner for 8 one night and everybody who came says they want to stay in your cabin next time they come! But of course the best thing was the view and the animals. We saw deer, racoons, rabbits, fox, and lots of birds. We sat on the front porch every morning and every evening. One night we saw the clouds roll in at sunset and the whole sky was purple! And we loved the menues you had in your book. We went to Brushy Mountain Barbque and ate too much! We can't wait to come back. Thank you again!
