My husband and I stayed at this cottage in mid September 2011. We had more than enough space and everything we needed. . We don't drive on the left, are hikers, so this location worked well for us. I don't want to give the impression, this is a 4-star resort. It isn't. BUT it provided everything we needed in comfortable, clean surroundings. The quiet and scenery were wonderful. The location of Ventry Beach is central.Right in Ventry Beach there is an excellent post office that sells a decent variety of food and wine, has internet, and helpful staff. The Skipper's Restaurant provides very tasty food and top notch service. And there is a local pub!! We also walked down to Paddy O'Shea's pub. We would walk into Dingle too on the back roads.(The main road would be too busy) There is much to see (fantastice scenery) and do in the Dingle Peninsula! Two examples: Slea Head and Brandon Mountain.The views going up it are amazing.There is a lot of history and we went on an archelogy tour we liked very much with Tim Collins. And for walkers, there is friendly taxi service. The Owner Margaret and I exchanged many e-mails and she would always get back to me and was helpful re. hiking trails. She was very responsible during the paying process and returning the portion of the unused deposit. This was excellent value for the money.

We really enjoyed our stay in this Ventry cottage. Ventry is very small; it is QUIET. There were only two of us, so there was an embarrassment of space. Plenty of drawer storage and closets, spacious fridge, homey fireplace, reclining leather furniture, welcome bed pre-heater. We were late in the season, so the small complex of cottages was otherwise empty; Ventry itself was winding down in late September. However, the small store nearby provided much of what we needed (including free WiFi when you stood outside their door--there is no internet in the cottage) and the Skipper restaurant was good. Dingle is very close, as are the many attractions of the Dingle peninsula. Perhaps the best part was the view of Dingle Bay; the cottage is elevated enough for a great unobstructed view, but not high enough to make the stroll to the beach a chore. Margaret, the owner was very helpful before and during our stay.
Recommended for:Sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, age 55+.

Had a really great family break for my wife and I and our three teenage children at the Ventry cottage. Very comfortable and in a great location with a fantastic garden and view. Perfect for getting away from it all and enjoying a few simple days of pottering around Dingle, the beach and the local area - Slea Head is just amazing!

Hi, I recently stayed in this cottage in Ventry and found the accommadation excellent value and in a beautiful location. The cottage was supplied with all mod cons and is very comfortable and only a few minutes away from the local shop, pub, beach. I would definitely recommend this accomadation to friends.
