More than just an all-inclusive rental property, Villa Buena Onda is a 7,000 sq. foot, luxury ocean view private resort in the hills above Playa del Coco. Under 25 minutes from the Liberia Int'l Airport along the Guanacaste Gold Coast, the villa is in the center of all the action and easy to get to. Instead of spending hours getting there, you'll spend them with a cocktail in the giant two-tier infinity pool.
Our home, which was just completed in April 2008, is the most elegant in the area. Features include ample outdoor and indoor living space, large bathrooms, a second story open air lounge with amazing ocean and island views, the infinity pool with swim-up bar, rancho and sun deck, tropical landscaping and fine décor.
All bedrooms include a patio or balcony that look over the pool area and the magnificent views of Coco Bay.
Playa del Coco was a sleepy fishing town that has suddenly become a meeting point amid several high end resorts. Nearby are a half a dozen fabulous, secluded beaches. The town itself is quite lively and has several restaurants, sport fishing charter companies, scuba tour operators and a popular casino. You are only a short drive to golf, other popular beach towns, surf spots and other endless adventures.
You won't need to lift a finger while you stay with us. Two maids, a personal chef, Bar person and concierge will attend to your every need. We provide 3 meals daily as part of the rate. We will also procure alcoholic beverages of your choice at cost, chill, mix and serve them for a 10% cork fee.

We chose Guanacaste because it is one of the most up and coming tourism destinations in Costa Rica. Thanks to the construction of an international airport in the region (LIR), guests can reach Villa Buena Onda and be on the beach within 30 minutes of deboarding their flight! The villa's property offers gorgeous views of the bay of Coco and surrounding islands that really finalized our decision to build in this small but entertaining beach town. Guests can enjoy access to a handfull of beautiful, pristine beaches that are just 10 minutes away, as well as tours to national parks, canop ziplines, ATV tours, snorkeling, surfing and a whole array of water activities.

Owner's Map of Playa del Coco
The concept for Villa Buena Onda was devised by three professional buddies and co-owners of Costa Rican Vacations, a luxury travel agency located in the country’s capital city of San Jose. With a combined 25 years in the industry, Tony Silva, Casey Halloran and Richard Bexon set out to create the ideal rental property, pulling together concepts from their own favorite vacation homes throughout the country. Silva, who relocated to sunny Costa Rica from Minnesota, has been in the country for over a decade and started CRV with his then-roommate Casey Halloran. Halloran, the marketing guru of the company, is a native of rural Pennsylvania and comes from a family of small business owners. Richard Bexon, our resident Englishman, jumped on the boat several years after CRV was incorporated and started his own branch of the company. While the process was grueling at times, the act of constructing our own 7-bedroom mansion from nothing has been one of our most important crowning achievements in Costa Rica.
