This 7,000 sq. foot, luxury, ocean view Villa sits high in the hills above Playa del Coco. Under 25 minutes from the Liberia International Airport along the Guanacaste Gold Coast, The Villa is private and secluded, yet just a short drive to the center of all the action. One of the best parts of our Villa is the Easy Access; Instead of spending hours getting there, you'll spend them with a cocktail in the giant two-tier infinity pool!
THE VILLA
Completed in April 2008, Villa Buena Onda is quite possibly the finest rental in the area. Features include ample outdoor and indoor living space, large bedrooms and bathrooms, and a second story open air lounge with amazing ocean and island views. The show stopper is our over-the-top, 2 tiered infinity pool, complete with swim-up bar, shady rancho and sun deck. Most guests pass the majority of their time at our Villa poolside, admiring the amazing ocean views. 6 of the 7 guest rooms feature a patio or balcony that look over the pool area and the magnificent views of Coco Bay.
ABOUT THE AREA
Playa del Coco was a sleepy fishing town that has suddenly become a meeting point amid several high end resorts. Nearby are a half a dozen fabulous, secluded beaches. The town itself is quite lively and has several restaurants, sport fishing charter companies, scuba tour operators and a popular casino. You are only a short drive to golf, other popular beach towns, surf spots and other endless adventures.
THE SERVICE
You won't need to lift a finger while you stay with us. Two maids, a personal chef, Bar person and concierge will attend to your every need. We provide 3 meals daily as part of the rate. We will also procure alcoholic beverages of your choice at cost, chill, mix and serve them for a 10% cork fee.

We chose Guanacaste because it is one of the fastest growing tourism destinations in Costa Rica. Thanks to the construction of the Liberia international airport(LIR), guests can reach Villa Buena Onda and be on the beach within 20 minutes after arriving into the country! The Villa's property offers gorgeous views of Coco Bay and surrounding islands. The town of Coco is a quiet fishing village, not unlike the numerous Mexican resort towns 30 years ago.
Guests can enjoy access to a handful of beautiful, pristine beaches that are under 10-20 minutes away, as well as tours to National Parks, sport fishing, Canopy zip line tours, ATV tours, snorkeling, surfing and a whole array of water activities.

Owner's Map of Playa del Coco
The concept for Villa Buena Onda was devised by three work colleagues at Costa Rican Vacations, a luxury travel agency located in the country’s capital of San Jose. With a combined 25 years in the industry, Tony Silva, Casey Halloran and Richard Bexon set out to create the ideal rental property, borrowing from concepts at their favorite vacation homes in Costa Rica. Tony, an expat from Minnesota, has been in the country for over a decade. He and then-roomate Casey started Costa Rican Vacations from their apartment in 1999. Casey is a native of rural Pennsylvania and comes from a family of small business owners. Richard Bexon, the resident Englishman, came on board as the 3rd partner in 2008.
While the process was grueling at times, the act of constructing our own 7-bedroom mansion from nothing has been one of our proudest achievements. We look forward to sharing with you what we believe is one of the finest guest experiences in Costa Rica.

Costa Rica was beautiful! The villa was beautiful! And the staff were amazing! Dayana and ALL of the villa staff there every moment making sure we had all we wanted at all times. The meals were amazing! Even the one that was prepared for us to take to the beach! I highly recommend this villa!
Recommended for:People with disabilities, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.
