Complete privacy and relaxation await you when you stay at this South Palm Springs vacation oasis located in the lovely, quiet neighborhood known as Twin Palms - the first residential neighborhood with Alexander-developed homes designed by mid-century architects Palmer and Krisel. Why stay in the windy north and central parts of town when you can stay in more desirable south Palm Springs? You will be 5 minutes from at least 4 golf courses - Mesquite Country Club, Palm Springs International, Tahquitz River Golf Course and Indian Canyons.
A major renovation was completed earlier this year and we now feature a new kitchen with high-end appliances, lighting, cabinets and gorgeous countertops. Sit at the large counter bar and look up through clerestory windows at the majestic mountains as you sip your coffee or cocktail. Cook on a 6 burner Jenn-Aire stove or step outside to the gas barbeque.
The master bathroom was doubled in size and now features a magnificent waterfall shower, deep-soaking tub, double sinks and a large skylight. The light is magnificent!
Mountains and palm trees are in view from every angle of the enclosed backyard which boasts a large, deep swimming pool and built-in spa - both recently re-plastered and tiled. Imagine soaking in the spa as the sun sets, casting its purple glow on the mountains in front of you! Wireless internet service and complete cable TV/DVD are provided for your ease and enjoyment. A large gasburning fireplace provides a cozy ambience on winter evenings.
The clerestory windows and sliding doors create a light-filled living room and dining area that looks out on the pool. The furnishings are hip and modern. The kitchen opens to the living area separated by a bar, perfect for serving drinks, and to the outside eating area where a dining table sits under a shady pavilion. A perfect spot to enjoy a lazy meal while gazing at the mountains.
There are three bedrooms. The very spacious master suite, with a comfortable king bed, opens to the outside with a path that winds to the pool. The aforementioned master bath is en-suite. The other two bedrooms, both with queen beds are stylishly furnished.
You will love the location of this home. South Palm Springs is the most desirable part of the town. The Smokewood Shopping Center and several restaurants are just steps away. The downtown village is a few minutes drive or a pleasant bike ride. Indian Canyon hiking trails, Smokewood horse stables, the Palm Springs Aerial tram and several golf courses are also just minutes away.

If you like to wake up feeling like you are tucked into a magical space surrounded by beautiful dessert mountains while still being a stones throw from everything you could possibly need then I would highly recommend staying here. It was a pleasure. Great house, clean and well cared for, equipped with everything I needed. I enjoyed every minute. The owners were considerate and attentive making sure I felt totally comfortable. I loved the house and the area and can't wait to go back.

A group of my friends stayed here for New Years and it was awesome! A lot of the rentals in Palm Springs look great on the outside but are then decorated more contemporary or not at all inside. This house was mid-century through and through. It's furnishings were authentic and the architecture of the house was great as well. Of course, the bathroom and kitchen were updated so everything was funcional and as expected by today's standards. We loved how close the house was to the Ace Hotel and Koffi and we were able to easily walk to both... Ace for drinks and dinner, and Koffi for morning coffee and pastries. It was also close enough to downtown and Spa Resort Casino for an easy drive. We had some unfortunate problems with the pool/spa heating but Laurie was on top of getting it repaired and once it was fixed, it was AMAZING being in the spa during the cool desert nights. Hopefully next time we can swim as well, when the weather is a bit warmer... even though it was almost 80 degrees for a couple days. Oh, Southern California winters. All in all this place was fantastic and we can't wait to go back!

My husband and I couldn't have asked for a better getaway in Palm Springs. We love the home’s mid-century décor, gorgeous and well-equipped kitchen, and perfectly landscaped yard. We took morning walks with our dog in the quiet neighborhood, got coffee at our favorite café around the corner and entertained friends, not to mention lots of relaxing pool-side. We hope to go back again soon.

Great location, beautiful house. For the price and location, there is no better deal in Palm Springs. The house has a quirky retro feel. While some amenities of the house are dated, it sort of fit in with the retro style. Very clean, great pool, large backyard. We would definitly rent this house again.

Such a relaxing place to be. The garden is an oasis with a beautiful pool which encourages swimming laps! The house was very comfortable with light and views beaming in from the South, East and West. Particularly liked the windows above the walls which gave great views of the mountains and stars at night. The house and grounds were clean and neat. Communication with the owner was easy and fast. It provided the amenities we were looking for. The only negative we encountered was that the entrance and exit from the Master tub/shower was awkward and if you don't grasp on to something sturdy, there is the possibility you could slip and fall. But, there is another bathroom to use, if you find the Master Bath a challenge. Overall, we loved this place and we would definitely recommend it to friends and family.

What can I say, it’s a wonderful house in a fabulous location. The house itself is a pleasure to stay in with a very luxurious feel. The floor to ceiling windows make you feel like you are outside even when you are indoors and interior of the house was lovely. Amazing view of the mountains from the hot tub and swimming pool and the garden even had a shady spot for the very few occasions that you want to get out of the sun. The location is great, very peaceful but still close enough to everything you need and only 20 minutes from the airport even though you don’t see or hear a single plane once you are at the property. I found the booking process incredibly easy with a very helpful owner and would definitely love to go back !

My family and friends had a wonderful stay at this vacation house.The owner was very nice and professional. We had a minor problem with the jacuzzi, but other than that we had the best time here.. I highly recommend this place!!!

The house had ample space, a lovely pool and back yard, attractive furnishings and a quiet south P.S. location. We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. It was easy to cook and there was comfortable outdoor dining area as well as indoor.

I stayed the month of June 2009 and had a great time. The home is very comfortable and well maintained. I had no problems with the house. The location is ideal. Stores are within walking distance, only a 10 minute drive to downtown Palm Springs, 20 minutes from the airport, and it is very close to highway 111 which is the main drag of Palm Springs. The pool is huge and the spa is great. I was able to sit back and look at mountains just from the backyard! Indian Canyons Golf Club is only blocks away, which is my favorite golf course in Palm Springs. I had a very nice vacation and look forward to coming back out soon. Oh, and Earl my dog would like to come back out, too! He loved our daily hikes around the mountains of Palm Springs.
