Dream Vacation home! We can't wait to schedule another trip just so we can stay here again. We traveled to the Colorado Springs area for a week's vacation. We could not have been happier with everything during our whole trip. The home was even better than we expected and there were so many amenities to make us feel at home. The owners made us feel so welcomed from the phone contacts to when we arrived. They were always available if we needed anything but it wasn't necessary because they have thought of everything to make it an exceptional place to stay. We especially enjoyed Garden of the Gods, The Broadmoor Hotel for lunch and shopping, and even more shopping in Manitou Springs and Old Colorado City. We enjoyed Woodland Park and the scenery in all the surrounding areas of Colorado Springs. Thank you so much for helping me check off another Bucket List dream. We will never forget this wonderful trip!
Owner response:Dear Tammy and Sherry...you ladies were delightful and so easy to work with...thank you for being our guests!

We found everything we needed with ease! Everything we were told we would have was right where we were told it would be. The property was centrally located and very convenient. We enjoyed the back deck and the herb garden. We would stay here again. Thank you.
Owner response:Thank you very much Shelly....we were so glad you could spend the time with your son returning from the war. I'm glad everything worked out well for you and your family

Nothing in the literature above, nor in our correspondence, indicated that this is an apartment in a house. The apartment is right above the owners.I felt we were misled. Within 5 minutes of arriving, I was getting phone calls about where to park. It was a little invasive. They had friends coming and going the whole time. There was also almost no water pressure. The owners were very sweet, couldn't have been nicer. However, this needs to be clear to the renter: you are staying in someone's house, and while you do have separate entrance, you share a driveway, and you will see the owners quite a lot.
Owner response:Dear Ashley, We’re so sorry that you weren’t satisfied with your stay. After 4.5 years this is the first review with less than 5 stars so we are very concerned. Yesterday I called and emailed you to talk about your stay but you haven’t responded. Since April 16, 2007 the description has read: “You will have the entire second floor (1300 sq.ft.) with an updated kitchen, newly remodeled bathroom and a large private 6-person hot tub. There is a large covered patio with a built-in outdoor kitchen (grill, refrigerator, sink) and a private garden in the back yard for your use.” That part of our description has always been a complete paragraph so that it was easy to read. Most people ask who’s on the 1st floor and are glad to hear that it’s the owners and not another renter. You had 2 private entrances. I never saw you the entire time you were there but you did meet my husband. I did meet one of your guests; I think his name was Scott. We made sure he knew that the backyard and hot tub were also exclusively yours to use and to make himself at home. He said that there would be a crowd the next night of rugby players. We think that when you realized that this was not the place to hold a Colorado College party for the players the cases of beer were moved out. We thank you for that. I almost never meet our guests while they’re here. Please read our other guest comments and you’ll see that people have been very satisfied here. I'm sorry that you didn't read the large "guest parking" sign that we have posted in the back of the house. We had just returned from dinner and I had no way to know that you had just arrived. I called once and you said you'd move the car later and I thanked you. We only asked you to park in the designated area so we could accommodate more of your friends since you said there would be 4 cars. We recently replaced the hot tub and it had a leak. My husband let you know that a repairman was coming so as not to interrupt your use of it. Then we had to fill the water up and this took 2 hours. During that time there would’ve been a drop in water pressure as you noted. We had given you both of our phone numbers and they’re also prominently displayed in the rental and we urge guests to call us if you need anything or if there was a problem. I never heard of any problem while you were here. I’m so sorry that you didn’t let us know any of this during your stay. The comfort and satisfaction of our guests is of utmost importance to us. Jackie

Early winter visit to USAFA. Great location, reasonably close to everything. Clean, nicely decorated. Wonderful breakfast provisions! Comfortable beds, nice TV and WIFI reception. The only drawback, is we could smell all the wonderful cooking the owners were doing downstairs! We plan to stay again.!
Owner response:Thank you, Larry...you were great guests and would welcome you back anytime! Jackie

We stayed at this property over the New Year holiday and loved it....even in a snow storm! We are a young family with 3 and 5 year old girls, and the house was perfect for us. Great hosts, and even though they were very close by, we actually never even met them! They do a great job respecting your privacy which was a pleasant surprise. Didn't get to use the awesome hot tub because of the weather, but it was still great. Highly recommend for any young family!
Owner response:Thank you very much for staying with us...I hope your children liked the snow! You were wonderful guests!

(mid October 2010) Our family of 4 stayed in this property while our daughter competed in a figure skating competition at the World Arena. The house was in great shape and well stocked. We especially liked the hot tub, fast wifi, laundry in master, private parking, and the location. Owners are close by and helpful. We locked ourselves out once and needed a jump start once. Both times the owners came to our aid quickly! You don't get that from most home rentals!

We spent two weeks here end of June beginning July and it was the best time ever. The house was beautifully equiped and delightfully furnished. It had everything a property rental needs and lacked nothing. The garden was well maintained and had a well equiped outdoor kitchen perfect for the suimmer evenings. lt is close to downtown shops and within walking distance of a Seven Eleven and easy driving to superstores. The property was exactly as described in fact even better and the owners well helpful and a delight to talk to. I would recommend this property to family and friends. There are some great restaurants downtown on Tejon and close to all major attractions especially good is the Garden of the Gods, Cliff Dwellings and a drive up to Crystal lake will take your breath away. Pauline and Tony - Solihull England
Owner response:Thank you Pauline and Tony.....you were wonderful guests! I felt that we already knew each other before you arrived! We're looking foward to that greenhouse by next summer that you and Patrick discussed. You'll have to come and see it when you're in town again.

We spent the end of August relaxing in this wonderful 1902 Home. Jackie and Patrick were wonderful hosts. We entertained our friends from the area in their beautiful back yard. They really have thought of everything. It really is the ideal place for a vacation.
