My family and I had a terrific time at Sylvia's 2 bedroom condo. We felt right at home. Everything was clean and comfortable and we had a beautiful view of the ocean. It was a fifteen minute walk to the markets and a two minute drive. Very enjoyable experience. I highly recommend this condo if you're looking to unwind and just want to relax on the lanai. Thanks Sylvia. Neil B

Dear Sylvia: Thank you so much for allowing us to rent your beautiful (really beautiful) places at Waikoloa this past holiday. We all had the best time we've ever had--and we've been going to the Big Island for 30 years. We loved your decor and appreciated the very nice (often Tommy Bahamas) furniture, rugs and bedding. I do want to make a confession and would like to know how much we owe you. We broke one of the yellow dinner plates in 201. Please send us an amount and we will send a ch

We spent two wonderful weeks in your very beautifully decorated and spacious condo this fall. We felt right at home from the minute we walked in. We appreciated your attention to detail and all the extras you provided. We especially enjoyed your selection of furniture and local art work! The location allowed us to walk to excellent restaurants, a variety of shops, the beach, two major hotels, the Wednesday Farmer's Market and to Starbucks for our morning coffee. The grounds are well maintained and quiet. We used the salt water lap pool and 2 spas daily and worked out at the fitness center. We were able to check our e mail and print out our boarding passes for the return trip at the business center. Your kitchen provided all we needed to cook our meals. We loved sitting out on the balcony watching the amazing sunsets, while eating dinner. We stopped at Costco on the way in from the airport and also shopped at Queen's Market. We appreciated have the BBQ to grill on. We found it an easy drive to Kona and Hilo and to the activities we had booked for our stay. We spent a day in Hilo where we toured the Lyman Museum and the beautiful Tropical Garden north of the city. We took the Blue Hawaiian Helicopter ride over the volcano and had an excellent dinner at the Hilo Bay Cafe. Our snorkel trip on the Fairwind II in Kona was great. We enjoyed the area where we snorkeled, the good lunch and the upbeat crew. Jackie Rey's Ohana Grill in Kailua for lunch, Bubba Gumps on the Kona waterfront for the coconut shrimp and eating white pineapple from the Kona's Farmer's Market were some of our favorite culinary treats. Don't miss visiting the Seahorse Research Project located near the airport. The tour was very informative and we got to hold live seahorses - a first for all of us! Thank you for sharing your special place with us! We hated to leave and are looking forward to a return trip soon! Your visitors from the Great, Green and Rainy Northwest, John, Judie, Otto and Julie
Owner response:Helena, Mats and family, Thanks for your kind comments about your stay in our condo. You have been wonderful guests and we always welcome your return! It is an honor that you would travel from Sweden twice within a year to stay in our condo! Mahalo, Sylvia

When we walked in the door we realized that the pictures don't do this condo justice since it's much larger than it appears. We had everything we needed to enjoy our 10 day stay there. A-Bay beach is a quick walk with great snorkeling but go early (the water is the clearest then) and if you swim out far enough, you'll see the turtles. They do have lounge chairs there for you to use for free so just bring a towel (which Sylivia supplies for you), sunscreen and any water toys you find in the closet! They do sell food and drinks down there and there are many water excursions you can book down there as well. Having all the shops nearby was great too and the sunsets from our lanai were beautiful to watch. Overall, our stay was fantastic and the condo had everything we needed. The only negative was while it was nice to have an ipod dock in the living room, it would have been nice to have them in the bedrooms as well. We look forward to our next stay there!
Owner response:Aloha Judy and Guests from Canby! Thank you much for the nice comments. I had put ipod ready radios in the bedrooms of A201 and the next trip over, I'll place them in this unit also. Thanks for the idea! I'm glad you had a great time and you are welcome back anytime! Mahalo, Sylvia

Email receipved: We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation at your lovely condo. Our 4 year old grandson loved the salt water pool, walking to the office to get the paper with Grandpa every day, and slept well on his "transformer"bed (the sofa bed). We felt very much at home and found everything to be neat and clean. All of your little extras, like the condiments in the fridge, spices, napkins, paper towels, laundry soap, dryer sheets, hair dryers, vanity mirrors, beach chairs, umbrella & towels, rolling cooler, the electric grill on the lanai, etc. made our stay all the more enjoyable. We particularly enjoyed the comfort of your mattress in the master bedroom - would you let us know the brand & type it is so we could see if it is available in our area? When we come back to Hawaii again, we will certainly plan on staying in one of your condos - thanks again!

We just spent the most wonderful 2 weeks at Vista Waikoloa. Unit A 202. We stepped through the door to a welcoming, tastefully decorated condo. The view is spectacular, with a wrap around lanaii that brings the out doors in. I love to cook and the kitchen was perfect, everything I needed was there. The electric George Forman grill on the Lanaii was great for barbeques. The bed was comfortable, we are fussy about our pillows and these were perfect. The saline heated swimming pool was a short distance from our unit and refreshing every day. A nice walk to Kings or Queens shopping center and Starbucks. We didn't what to leave and hope to return soon!!!!!

If you are looking for the quintessinal Lanai sunset to have your bar-b-que on, this is it! Everything about Sylvia's unit from the decor to the dishes is first class...my wife's first comment when we arrived was "I think I would actually be willing to live in this unit!" I would definately recommend this unit to anyone who wants to be centrally located (10 min. walk to beach and shops) and likes a lot of room to relax and enjoy Hawaii!

We loved our stay at this unit! It's truly spacious, has excellent views of the resort and ocean beyond. We enjoyed the fact that this home had every convenience we could think of. We like to save money by eating out only for lunch and we cooked breakfast and dinner. This condo had the waffle iron, rice cooker, blender -- and high-quality gadgets too. We also appreciated that they keep things left-over from previous guests' stays like spices. The clubhouse was really nice too with a workout room and a computer room which makes it easy to print out your boarding pass for the return flight home. The only thing lacking was an easy way to play an Ipod. Don't let that keep you from renting this jewel though -- just bring your speakers!
Owner response:We now have an ipod ready stereo with great speakers! :-)

What a wonderful month we have had on the Big Island in A202!! We've felt at home and so enjoyed this well equipped condo. The salt H2O pools is the greatest! If one is looking for a great 4 hour boat snorkeling trip - to on the Sea Quest on a sunny day. Wonderful experience and saw different sea creatures. Good-by for now - cant' wait to come back!

Happy Valentine's Day will not be quite as happy this year because we shall have just left after a wonderful time in A202! Your condo is top notch! Highlights were swimming in the salt water pool, barbecuing ahi tuna, touring the art collection at Hilton Village, capturing whales, porpoise and octopi on our digital camera and especially, drinking wine and watching sunsets with friends from the lanai. Golfing was fun too! We leave our friends, the Johnson's to enjoy this wonderful spot for another two weeks as we return home to winter. Returning to the big island after twenty-two years was a great decision! Sincerely, Jim and Karin

Sylvia, your home is lovely. We enjoyed the cozy home feeling. Weather was a variety while we were here, but we left flooding in Olympia WA so can't beat this. We will share our experience with friends headed this way. We love eat at home so it was special to enjoy your well packed kitchen and evenings eating on the lanai. Thanks you for your wonderful hospitality and fun emails.

What a beautiful condo! You have provided all the necessities and much more. WE have enjoyed barbqueing and eating on the lanai with the wonderful view. (It got even better yesterday - they pruned the palm trees) this is our first trip to the big island - what an adventure. We kayaked with dolphins and snorkeled at the Captain Cook Monument, hiked the crater at Kilauea, and down to Pololu beach (black sand). It has been a fantastic vacation. Thank You!

Aloha, What a fantastic, all-inclusive condo, centrally and beautifully located. It has the comfort of a "home" and the conveniences of a "hotel". Your family should be thrilled to own such a Hawaiian Paradise. You have it all- from A to Z, missing not a thing! Our family enjoyed our stay in a clean environment. Our five day vacation is lovely and knowing we are coming to our private "home" at the end of the day trips makes it it even lovelier. Good luck and may all the families that stay here appreciate the niceties and recognize the soft, personal touches you have. We will definitely recommend this unit at the Vista's to others. Mahalo!

It's cozy and warm, plus you provide everything we need for home from plastic wrap, nice and new cookware to colorful beach towel! Our 3 1/2 yr old daughter lover her bedroom and has slept very well every night during our stay here. We look forward to returning to the Big Island for another memorable experience.
