Beautiful New Cabin - Located Between Zion & Bryce Nat'l Park

Year Purchased: 2006

Why the Owner Chose Duck Creek Village

Another reason that I chose this area is the close proximity to Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon, Skiing and of course the cool, clean air made this forest location the perfect get-a-way that is within driving distance of my home in Las Vegas. While visiting the cabin, I wake up each morning and enjoy hot cup of coffee on the wrap around deck that overlooks the forest then, I head out to find a new hiking or ATV trail and explore the natural beauty of the surrounding area.

The Unique Benefits at this Cabin

The cabin is surrounded by the forest, yet, only a 5 minute drive to restaurants and other conveniences.

A
Zion National Park

http://www.nps.gov/zion/ Massive canyon walls ascend toward a brilliant blue sky. To experience Zion, you need to walk among the towering cliffs,or challenge your courage in a small narrow canyon.

B
Bryce Canyon

http://www.nps.gov/brca/ Famous for its unique geology of red rock spires and horseshoe-shaped amphitheaters, Bryce offers the visitor a "Far View" from the eastern edge of the Paunsaugunt Plateau

C
Cedar Breaks

http://www.nps.gov/cebr/ Resting on top of the Colorado plateau, at over 10,000 feet in elevation, this breathtaking view awaits. Millions of years of sedimentation, uplift, and erosion are carving

D
Brian Head Ski Resort

Brian Head Resort provides a great vacation value unmatched by any other winter resort in the region. Offering a friendly and relaxed atmosphere with virtually no lift lines.

Owner's Map of Duck Creek Village

I moved to Las Vegas, NV from North Carolina several years ago. It only took one summer of 110 degree temperatures for me to look for a cooler place to spend my weekends. After doing a few months of research, I found Duck Creek Village in southern Utah and had a cabin built in the Duck Creek Pines subdivision. While it's just a three hour hour drive from Las Vegas, it's a completely different part of the world in every way. To go from 110+ degrees to 72 degrees is like jumping into a mountain stream. To go from the desert surrounding Las Vegas in the winter and find 5-10 feet of snow at my cabin continues to amaze me. A friend of mine told me about VRBO.com and the possibilities of renting my cabin to vacationers on the dates that I wasn't able to enjoy it myself. I decided to give it a try and it's been very successful. In addition to making a little money, I've really enjoyed sharing my little part of southern Utah with people from all over the world.

    • We've enjoyed our stay in the cabin over Cristmas '2007. It was truly a great vacation - the cabin, it's location and the cabin's owner Ricky are great. It was the best experience I could hope for. Thank you, Ricky!

    • This cabin is absolutely lovely in a great location close to snow mobile rental facilities. The people in this town are beyond charming. We got stuck in the snow with our vehicle a couple of times and there was not one person in the village who would hesitate for a second to stop whatever they were doing to help you out or ask how they could help. The family room is so cozy and the kitchen was well stocked! What a wonderful place to come home to after a day of fun in the snow!!!! Ricky was unbelievable to work with. He was always quick to answer our questions. Having never been up to that area, he was very accomodating and knowledgeable in answering all of our questions. I would highly reccommend this cabin to anyone! It is decorated with a lot of style and with very comfortable furniture and a great fireplace. The cabin itself sits on an amazing lot with stunning views from every window in the house. The kids can walk right outside the front door and have some of the best sledding either on the property itself or within a couple of feet on the interior streets. Worth every penny for all of the amenities included!!!!!!

    • We just returned from out stay at Ricky's cabin. The cabin is located in a beautiful mountaintop area. It is clean, comfortable and has all amenities. Ricky was good to work with. Besides going to Bryce and Zion (an easy drive) we had a great time renting ATV's and driving through the national forest. We all loved hanging around on the wrap around deck. It was especially beautiful at night when you can see all the stars.

    • Just returned from this cabin and had a great time. We were very pleased with the location and it was a much easier drive from Vegas than we thought. My friends and I will return to get out of the heat and enjoy the 70 degree temps.
