This was our first trip to Maui and we sure did get lucky! Never in my life did we expect to have the beauty, outdoor space and privacy that this condo provides. We actually felt sorry for people staying at some of the fancy hotels because they did not have the view we saw every morning, afternnoon and evening. Breakfast outside onthe patio was the most peaceful thing we have ever expiereced on any vacation. Falling asleep to the sounds of the waves was incredable. In the evening we grilled out at the poolside and enjoyed meeting the other folks on vacation as well as the locals. We were able to get all kinds of information on places to go and things to do. Everyone is so friendly! The sea turtles swam with us everyday. What a joy! We highly recommend this condo for anyone who wants to enjoy the peace and solitude of Maui and we just hope it's not rented and is available when we want to go back!

We were thrilled staying at this condo. We chose it because of the view, and it was everything the description and photos indicated and more. You CANNOT get a better view anywhere on Maui. The highlight of the trip was simply enjoying meals as a family at the patio table and looking at the ocean. We saw turtles, whales, and beautiful sunsets. We loved being so close to the water and falling asleep to the sound of crashing waves. The unit looks out on the ocean in two directions and you can see the islands of Lana'i and Moloka'i. We walked daily to the nearby Farmer's Market to bring home fresh fruit and other food for meals. Try their awesome curry soups, acai bowls, and lilikoi cheesecake! This condo is in an ideal location, a short drive from the fabulous Ka'anapali and Napili beaches, and also close to many restaurants and a large grocery store. We enjoyed snorkeling nearby at Black Rock. The condo was very comfortable for our family of four. We found the kitchen to be extremely well stocked with anything a person could need. Suzanne and Edith were very helpful and great at communicating prior to the stay. We would highly recommend this unit to family and friends, and if we return to Maui we will definitely stay here. The condo is very comfortable, with all necessary amenities, and the location and incredible ocean view cannot be beat.
Owner response:Thank you so much for your glowing review of our property. We are so happy that we can share our place with such nice people like you! Looking forward to seeing you for your next getaway to the tropics!

This condo is truly in an amazing spot. It was by far the best location in the complex, being right on the water and with it's own private lawn area. That being said, the condo itself could use some updating. The rugs were stained in some areas; the paint and trim in some places were worn and dirty; the stove was old and had uneven burners, making it hard to cook properly. There was an extremely small flat screen tv up on the wall in the corner of the living room, which was hard to see even if you were directly under it. We also had a problem with tiny ants constantly invading the kitchen. We had to go out and purchase lawn chairs and a beach umbrella, as there was no beach equipment at the condo. I would recommend this property in a minute, if the owners would do some basic updating, such as replacing carpets, repainting, and installing a decent tv and stove. Also, the lawn furniture was very old.
Owner response:Thank you so much for providing your review! We are always trying to improve our service and appreciate all the advice we can get from our excellent guests! Yes, we agree that we need to update and redecorate our little condo. We actually have an extensive remodel planned, for sometime (fall perhaps?) next year! We will be adding a slightly larger TV screen but we do not want to detract from our ocean view. We do not provide beach equipment as everyone sort of has their preference. Items are left from time to time and also seem to vanish so we gave up on trying to provide beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, etc. Instead, we suggest that our guest drop by Boss Frogs and rent the equipment for the water sports they wish to partake. That is what we do! At least, I think you will agree that the condo is comfortable and you don't have to worry about messing anything up! We do get a lot of wear and tear with sand, salt, and wet gear on our furniture but we just want our guests to not worry about those things and have a great time. We hope to have you back Susan, after we remodel! I will let you know! Hope you had a good time, otherwise?

Great View. Morning coffee watching the turtles eating off the reef 20 ft from your porch was priceless. Kitchen has all utensils needed for all meals. Needed more toilet paper/paper towels for the time we were there. The beds/pillows were uncomfortable. Some unfriendly neighbors in units near the pool area who appeared to live at the complex- tried to enforce quiet hours at 5pm (instead of the posted 8pm) as the kids were in the pool. All in all well worth it. Good location, but had a short drive to most useful beaches for playing in the surf. The closest beach was Honokowai beach, which has a good reef for snorkeling and a nice park with grass. I would return. If beds were better it would get an excellent rating.
Owner response:Thank you very much for your review, Scott. We are glad that your family enjoyed your vacation in our ocean front condo! Most folks will agree with you that they are surprised at how truly wonderful our view is and how close our location is to the ocean! It is trully breathtaking... Your complaint about the comfort of our beds is a first! Thank you for letting us know. We jumped right on it and our Maui manager, Tutu Beth, has added new extra-thick matterss pads to the beds. Our pillows are changed every 6 months--there are now new ones on the bed! Hope to see you and your family again sometime! BTW, We woud like to add a beach in front of our condo, but we don't know what to do with the turtles! We love them and first class snokeling is right in front of our condo! This was the most amazing view of the ocean. We where just feet away. Every day we say see turtles, Rays and a very large eel. The condo is well stocked and very clean the stores are just up the road. There was lots of room for the 5 of us. We brought our snorkel gear so everyday we where in the ocean. The owners where so helpful. We ran the Whaler Marathon and if your a runner I would recommend this run it was amazing. Anyone going to vacation in Maui I would highly recommend this condo. I can't wait to go back.
Owner response:Wow! The Maui Marathon! Please join us again next year and we will throw in a free day for your stay! Mahalo, Edith, Suzanne, Beth, Jody & Maryna

Our stay in this beautiful condo was everything we'd dreamed of and more. The views are amazing capturing all that is beautiful about Maui. There was no real reason to leave as everything was right there- breathtaking sightings of rays, sea turtles, seals, sunsets with neighboring islands Molokai and Lanai. The sounds of crashing waves soon became our favorite part of the experience. The owners were so gracious in making this stay most memorable for my mom, my husband and myself. I can't wait to return to paradise.
Owner response:We are delighted to share our condo with you and your lovely mother. My Tutu (88) loves to sit on our lanai and watch for whales. She can get around easily in our ground floor space. Mahalo, Edith, Suzanne, Beth, Jody & Maryna

We were very pleased with our experience with this condo. It is open, airy and the view is 180 degrees of beautiful ocean and the island of Lanai. Although it is part of a four story complex, there is privacy and quiet. The front corner location is pretty isolated and in addition to the lanai there is a nice little side "yard" to enjoy. It is just a few yards from the ocean, and although it is not directly on a sandy beach, there is one about 75 yards away. We enjoyed sleeping the sound of crashing waves.

This condo has such a wonderful orientation to the sea and the islands in the distance that the one or two small glitches in our stay were easily pushed aside. We have stayed at the Hale Ono Loa perhaps a dozen times in the last 30 years, though not in this unit. We return because of the views, the thorough maintenance of the condominium, the modest rates compared to hotels and the ability to view wildlife just off shore. This particular unit is newly and tastefully redecorated, the kitchen is unusually well stocked with everything any cook might need, and everything is immaculately clean. The owners were very flexible and communicative and willing to meet some requests we had. Negatives are that there is no on-site management though we are so familiar with the area it was not too much of a problem for us. Generally most other residents or guests were quiet and agreeable but someone in authority such as a manager could have been helpful in a couple of incidences. The sliding glass doors didn't slide well but who closes them anyway? We have already decided to return to this unit this next year for a much longer visit and can think of no better recommendation than that.

We stayed for 2 weeks in August and loved the condo. The view was better than expected. I know it is hard to tell from a few pictures, but this condo was tops. Very clean, easy to get to. We loved watching the green sea turtles every day eating and swimming 3-5 feet from us. Swam with them as the beach is great for snorkle trips. If you are questioning this unit, don't!!! You won't be disappointed. I hae recommended this property to several people.

Sitting on the lanai with a drink, watching the waves roll in gently as the sun sets between Molokai and Lanai - what more can you ask for? The kitchen is well-equipped so it's easy to cook a meal if you want to without scrambling for dishes or tools. We enjoyed to observe the sea turtles feeding on the reef in front of the complex every day and went snorkeling and swimming in the ocean right outside the apartment. The swimming pool is clean and we often had it to ourselves. The whole apartment complex is well-maintained and quiet, perfect to relax from our hectic everyday lives. Our favorite restaurant, Roy's, is in walking distance. It's just 10 minutes by car to downtown Lahaina, where we love to go out for dinner and take a stroll down the main drag afterward. It's just minutes to the golf courses in Kapalua or to go snorkling in Kapalua and Napili Bay. Great place to kick back and recharge or take day trips to explore the island.

This is a two bedroom condo right on the ocean. There were 4 adults and one baby in our group and it worked out perfectly. We really wanted a ground floor unit with a view and this clearly provided that at a very reasonably cost. Five feet from the unit is the sea wall so you can't get much closer to the water. We saw sea turtles every evening within a few feet from the wall, up to 7 one evening. We really liked having the small grassy area right outside our door. The kitchen was very adequately stocked with pots and pans as we cooked most of our dinners since we had a baby with us. The living room is very comfortable and it's easy to eat inside or outside with views from every location. The one possible downside to this condo complex is there is no beach. That may or may not be a problem depending if you want beach access from your unit. As I mentioned, you are right on the ocean but you do not have a beach. However, there are so many beaches all around including one that is walking distance that it may not matter.

fantastic location literally 20 feet or so from the ocean. The views are marvellous - and you really can see whales and sea turtles from the condo or patio. The condo is spacious, and nicely furnished. The surf can be a little noisy if you keep the windows open like we did, so we used ear plugs. There are more than enough dishes and pots and pans to cook a meal, and there are several small stores/restaurants and a farmers market within a 10 or 15 minute walk. It really isn't swimmable right in front of the condo if that is what you are looking for, but there is a pool in the complex.

It is a "home away from home". My friends and I have stayed there twice in July and truly love this slice of heaven. As soon as we arrived, we were so pleased that it was such a peaceful and relaxing hideaway. The large balcony was great to sit and take in the ocean air. It was wonderful to have the beach as our backyard. The view is spectacular! The condo is right on the ocean....you truly can't get any closer. You wake up and enjoy breakfast and coffee on the patio with the waves splashing up on the rocks...perfection. In the evening when you come home you can enjoy the most beautiful sunsets with the sea turtles right there. The condo is so comfortable and has everything that you could need...we truly loved it so much we have been twice and can't wait to go again. It's close to Lahina and close to the markets. We really enjoyed going to the local farmers market which is in walking distance from the condo. I haven't been in the winter, but other guests have left notes in the journals about the whales right out in front of the condo. It's truly a very special place and I highly recommend staying there.

I went to Hawaii for a relaxing trip with three of my girlfriends. It was the perfect Hawaiian vacation. The condo is spacious and opens to the water with the sea turtles swimming. The lanai and large grassy area outside the condo are ideal for breakfast or enjoying a Maui night. The grounds and building were well maintained with beautiful tropical flowers and trees. The pool area was great with plenty of chairs and lounges and the pool was clean. We cooked breakfast and packed lunches in the condo kitchen and ate dinners out at the many nearby restaurants. The bathrooms were spacious and the vanity area was nice for getting ready. There was plenty of room so we all felt like we had our own space. I loved how close the condo is to great beaches to sun bathe and go snorkeling. And, there are a lot of great shops and restaurants nearby. The road was great for going for a run and there were other trails nearby. I would highly recommend a stay here for a relaxing and fun filled Maui vacation with family and friends.

Lorelei Sugano This particular condo, Unit 109, was fantastic. It is one of only 5 units in the entire complex that is ground floor and oceanfront. The yard for the other 4 units is all connected, but this particular one benefits from having a "front yard" that is practically to itself, so we didn't need to worry about our 18 month old bothering anyone when he ran around outside. It was perfect. We were able to sit outside and eat our meals or have drinks and watch for humpback whales, sea turtles, sunsets and rainbows. We had the same view from a huge picture window inside the living room area of our condo, and the inside of the condo was even nicer than it looks in the pictures! Plus, the location was great, a quick walk to the playground, Bad Ass Coffee and the Farmer's Market.
