Great New Year's weekend
Great New Year's weekend

I spent a nice, relaxing New Year’s weekend with a friend family in a down stairs family unit. It was a perfect space for four adults and four kids. (And a dog) We got there a little earlier than expected check-in time since it was so cold outside. But the owner was readily available via phone, and she was able to check with housekeepers to see if we could get in a bit early. And we did. That was very nice. The kitchen had nice pans/pots for cooking and wine glasses to enjoy holiday meals. We were overjoyed to find a big table with eight chairs as we had experiences renting houses for eight, but had only four (or six) dining chars. If you have young children, you may want to bring small bowls. Proximity to the beach definitely made a difference. Being able to go right out to the beach is very nice especially if you are with young children. I almost never thought about not having a direct view to ocean. Thank you very much. We had a great time. I would very much like to stay at Seapeace and visit Manzanita beach again.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

Amazing Summer Days and Nights on Oregon Coast

My fiance (he) and I were delighted with our stay in the upstairs unit of Seapeace. The unit is bathed in natural light thanks to multiple, large windows. The arched ceiling adds to the feeling of openess. The wrap-around patio in front lets you enjoy the view and sound of the sea. The bathroom shower is very large and lets you look out two large (but private) windows into the woods. The large jacuzzi tub is a great place to soak and relax after a busy day in the great outdoors. The property was well maintained and wonderfully clean. The king-sized bed was comfy, too. And, we appreciated having wifi. The place is ideal for a couple, especially for a romantic getaway. We celebrated our engagement, which began earlier in our Oregon trip. :-) We really enjoyed the peacefulness and privacy of Seapeace. The futon in the living area and large couch could be used to sleep kids or even adults. Just keep in mind, that everyone will need to share one bathroom, which connects to the (large) bedroom. We appreciated how Carly (the owner) provided directions from Portland and suggestions on dining. BTW, Wanda's in nearby Nehalem offers an excellent breakfast. Carly clearly takes great pride in her property. And, her requests to tidy up before departing were perfectly reasonable, especially since she waived the cleaning fee. Lastly, I must share the joy we experienced from the weather and natural beauty during our mid-August stay. The skies were clear and temperatures reached the low 70s in the day and low 50s in the night. This was such a treat and contrast to the 100+ temperatures we experience each summer in Austin. We spent the majority of every day outside: strolling on the beach, hiking in nearby parks, biking on the shoreline and in town, visiting the quaint shops of Manzanita, and savoring some really good food. If you have a car, consider visiting Haystack Rock in Cannon Beach, which is about 15 miles north. It's remarkably beautiful and photogenic and teeming with sealife (starfish, clams, crabs, gulls) and happy people. Low-tide is best because it allows you to walk to the monolith. If you're up for a challenging hike, go up to the summit of nearby Neahkahnie Mountain. You're rewarded with a breath-taking view of the Manzanita coast. Being in the forest is magical, in its own right. We definitely plan to return one summer in the near future. Enjoy!Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers.

I spent the last four days at Seapeace with my boyfriend and another couple along with our 2 dogs. We had a fabulous time! The house is fantastic- great kitchen for cooking, comfortable big sectional couch that fit 4 adults comfortably, great beds with soft bedding and nice colors and finishes throughout the newly remodeled house. We didn't even touch the 3rd bedroom which has 2 bunk beds with double beds on bottom but the house had plenty of extra room to fit more people. Carly obviously cares about the little details involved in making your stay great. It's also nice to find a place that is accommodating to dogs (she even has a spare dog bed and water bowl ready for you). Even if you are not a pet lover you should consider staying here because the place was so clean you would NEVER know a dog had ever stepped foot in there. The location is great, just a few houses away from the peaceful beach and a short ride or walk into town. We liked the secluded little lane the house was on and the guys liked how close the surfing was! Overall, we left with no complaints and will definitely be returning to Seapeace for another great weekend!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers, people with disabilities.

4 houses to the beach! Nice sandy beach, flying kites was great fun with the grand kids. Short walk to a fun golf coarse. I really like the small cozy town feeling. House has a great layout. We will definetely try to stay here again.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, pet owners, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, people with disabilities.
Owner response: Thanks Jeff!!! Thanks so much for your review. Hope to meet you and your family at some point. This week we are doing are building privacy screens in lattice on the west deck, putting in a planter across the lower unit to plant bamboo --- and some other landscaping features. I believe that Seapeace will become a retreat destination once I'm able to include the upstairs in the offering. Again -- thanks and peace to you and your family, Carly

I loved my recent stay at Seapeace. The house has been remodeled recently and its vibe is open, serene & relaxing -- the accommodations exceeded my expectations. The neighborhood and house both are very quiet and it was a wonderful place for me to get away, meditate and take long walks on the beach. Also Manzanita's restaurants and shops are within walking distance of the house (approx. 15 min. walk).Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.

6 of us stayed for a fabulous weekend in November. The house is a very short walk to the beach and we enjoyed the sunrise and sunset each day and morning walks on the beach! Manzanita is conveniently located and the house was within all our daily destinations! The bedrooms are large and spacious and very comfortable. The updated bathrooms and kitchen were beautiful. The gas fireplace was so cozy and there was plenty of room for all of us! The neighborhood was quiet and private. We will be planning another trip soon and would recommend it to others. The owner is very involved in making it a great stay and we really appreciated the Fall/Winter specials!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, people with disabilities.

We have been renting Seapeace for 4 years now and we love it. The pictures don't do it justice. The house has an open layout and a fireplace. It is so comfortable and beautiful, and so close to the water. We love to walk into town along the beach and grab something at the bakery and check out the independent bookstore. We visit every August and it has become our summer tradition. We have rented other places along the coast and Manzanita has stolen our hearts. If you are thinking of renting in Manzanita, SeaPeace is wonderful - you won't be disappointed!!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, people with disabilities.

About the owner: Welcome Seapeace Guests! Hi, I'm Nancy, owner and manager of Seapeace. I do my best to continue to make Seapeace the best rental in Manzanita and to make your visit an unforgettable experience. Please don't hesitate to call me if you have any questions at all!
Why the Owner Chose Manzanita:
Manzania is hands down the best coastal community on the North Oregon Coast. Quaint, upscale and is growing mindfully; forward thinking - ensuring that Manzanita provides what travelers need without becoming a resort town. Manzanita does not have any hint of a tourist trap flavor, but if you want to get the resort experience, you have a quick 15 minute drive to Cannon Beach, one of America's top 10 resort beaches, then you can return to the peace and tranquil beauty of Manzanita. Native Oregonians already know, Manzanita is the 'prize' on the North Coast.
The Unique Benefits at this Bungalow:
Seapeace has many, many return guests due to the unique and exquisite quality of location in the quaint ocean villiage, Manzanita. After a week on the ocean, in this wonderful place of love, you'll see why.
