Charming property on Glen Lake (rated one of the most beautiful inland lakes in US by National Geographic Magazine in 1934. This 1,300 square foot cottage is across the road from the lake, but property has lovely lakefront area with a sensational view of sand dunes. The theme is decidedly relaxation at "Tranquility Cottage", and our guests have often told us that it brings back happy memories to them of good times at lakefront cottages with their own families during their youth.
Experience the wonder of clear Michigan water on a lake whose shallow surface is pure sand and gently sloping. The summer air is crisp and refreshing and the summer nights are a slice of heaven with a breathtaking display of stars and temperatures that are ideal for sleeping (in our very comfortable beds). Our family has accumulated plentiful memories of fun, activity, and relaxation over the last sixteen years, and we feel confident that the same memorable experience awaits you.
"Tranquility Cottage" is also great for fall foliage and winter skiing weekends (top-notch Crystal Mountain Ski Resort is a half hour away). Leelanau County is perhaps the crown jewel of Northern Michigan. Activities are countless with lots of outstanding golf courses, fine dining, shopping, and crafts are all in close proximity.
