My husband and I stayed in the property for 4 nights. The property is quite old but has a modern bathroom and highly efficient heating system, comfortable bed, fully equipped kitchen and good washer/dryer. Property is close to Lincolnville and just 5 miles from Camden where there are some lovely shops and cafes. The owners were very welcoming and the place was stacked with videos and games to keep us entertained when the weather was cold and dark outside. Only thing to note is that the stairs are steep and narrow so be warned if you might have difficulties with this.

We just returned from a great stay and the farmhouse! It was ideal for a family of 4 to have space to spread out. The kitchen was very spacious with an eat-in table and the washer/dryer was a plus. The TV rec'd lots of channels and the wireless internet worked great. This was an ideal spot to be just outside of Camden (10 mins). Lots of books, maps, and brochures were inside waiting for us. We had lousy weather but Gretchen and Steve were super hosts! They even mailed us information before we came up. Their backyard is as pictured and lovely. The house is very close to the road so some traffic noise could be heard at night but they have double-paned windows to help reduce the sound. Everything was clean and ready for our arrival. Thanks Gretchen and Steve! Mike, Amy, Natalie and Jamie from Atlanta

We rented the house for our organization so we could all attend a conference held nearby. It worked out great. We spent less on our entire stay than we would have on one night at the conference center's hotel. And, we didn't have to be in stuffy hotel rooms to boot! The place way homey and comfortable with all the amenities we were looking for. It was in the middle of winter but we were nice, warm and comfortable. Great location making a lot of things accessible to us - and the new coffee shop/mini store/deli across the street made it even more convenient. The owners were very nice and accommodating. Will definitely give them a call again for future trips to mid-coast Maine. Thank you Gretchen & Steve!

I would like to say that everything was great! The home was very cozy. Had a great view of Penoscot Bay. The colors were at there peak. We were very close to site that we wanted to go too. It was only an hour or so from Arcada National Park. It was very thing and more! Steve and Gretchen were very kind. We had very thing that we needed in the home. Brad and Vickie

My husband and I stayed here with our two kids for a week in July. We had wanted a place where we could do some of our own cooking, have plenty of room for us to spread out, and a good location for day trips. Little did we know what a gem we found! The house was everything we had hoped for and more. Gretchen and Steve were amazing hosts and helpful in every way possible - even waving us down on the road at 11pm! The house was stocked with everything we could ever need and having the washer and dryer was a lifesaver. We truly considered this our "home away from home" and would go back in a heartbeat!

We recently attended a friend's wedding and stayed at the farmhouse. It was just lovely- from when we first walked in and the table was set beautifully and had a gorgeous bouquet of flowers on it to wandering around the back gardens and paths that were created for strolling. The location was perfect and we got to explore the areas both north and south. The home is clean and well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Our hosts were nice enough to set us up with wood in the firepit and our last night there we had a great bonfire. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would go back again.

We stayed through Christmas and New Year's, and had a most comforting and tranquil time. Despite the snow and cold, there are some wonderful walks and hikes in the near vicinity. Even from the front door down to the beach or through the woods can make for a nice stroll. The nearby towns in the winter are uneventful, but enough remains open to avoid cabin fever, and many people are still out and about and quite friendly. The house itself is most comfortable, cozy, and inviting. There is plenty of room to work in the library and kitchen, or to read or relax in the living room. Lovely views of the ocean and sunrise over the outlying islands from the second floor; serene woodscape from the backyard. Quite pleasantly, everything one needs is available (or can be provided by the hosts) from washer and dryer to kitchen knives. Highly recommended!

I can not thank you enough, Steve and Gretchen. You have a wonderful family and many thanks for allowing me to be a part of it for my stay. Your farmhouse is amazing and the close proximity to everything I was looking for was a plus. My first visit to Maine will not be my last. I loved the view from Mt. Battie, the schooner ride in Camden, the visit to the Portland Lighthouse and the many selections of seafood restaurants. I look forward to seeing you again in the future. I only wish the ocean was warmer but that is only a small sacrifice to make for such a wonderfulk time. Thank you again.

We stayed at the farmhouse while renovations were still going on -- you can't beat the location. It is within walking distance of lovely Lincolnville Beach and early a.m. walkers can stop in right across from the beach for coffee and yummy breakfast sandwiches at the beach store -- lovely shops right there too -- and Camden Harbor, five min. away is a lovely place to relax. If you are going to relax though, you can do that every season, except winter, right there in the beautiful gardens right outside your door. The house is rustic and charming and perfect for a family or two couples to share. We loved our time there. Even though it was in November and a bit chilly to sit outside, we enjoyed exploring the area -- so much to see and do there. Lorraine & George (any questions, feel free to email us)
