  This house is quite unique. Once we got used to all the doors and where they led to, also which switch operated what, we then found the house very relaxing. It is well situated and very close to a fabulous white sandy shell beach which we seemed to have to ourselves. Great dining table which could accommodate all 10 of us leading to a wonderful open room to relax in. Two new bikes were supplied which we found very useful. We went on a jet ski conducted tour to Caladesi Island from Pier 60 and the men went deep sea fishing and caught grouper and king mackerel - too many to eat! Both trips were brilliant and would recommend them. Great sunsets and dolphins swimming by - oh what a wonderful holiday. We would certainly recommend this house. The Lynns, Orpington, Kent, England

  My sisters and I rented this home, which looks very nice from the pictures on the internet for a vacation together. On the positive side, the location of the house is very close to the beach--which is really very nice. We loved this aspect of the home. Unfortunately, every other aspect fell far below the mark of acceptability. For starters, the house was not clean. In fact, during our stay we noticed cockroaches. Secondly, the Fire Department had to be called our first night due to a leaking gas grill that was left on by the "cleaning crew" and was coming into the home. Third, during the entire time there, the pool and hot tub were broken. Depsite many calls to the owner and property manager, they were not resolved. In fact one of our biggest disappointments was the unresponsiveness of the owner and the property manager who were very responsive when collecting the money for our stay but were not at all helpful when there were problems. Other issues during our stay included a washing machine or dryer that left our clothes with oil marks, broken beach chair(only one), and inferior pool chairs (including one that is a hospital chair!). My recommendation is to stay some place else--not worth the money at all!

  We had a great time at this house, we had 3 families in the house. as has been stated, the layout of the house is a bit awkward. but, it does work for multiple families. The house was clean and very attractive, the wet bar and kitchen area are very functional and the lani is great for coffee in the morning;) the hot tub was a bit tough to figure out(need more detailed info on instructions to operate).and the abundant light switches need to be labeled! as a side note, we did have a run in with some small ants, but, the problem was taken care of as soon as we called about it. Over all we had a great time.

  Aside from some minor maintanence items, the property exceeded our expectations. Quiet neighborhood and comfortable accomadations for 11 family members. The pool and hot tub were awesome and the gulf just a few minutes away. I highly recommend this property for a large family vacation.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

  We celebrated my parents' 40th anniversary at the house. There were 10 of us total, and the house provided plenty of room for everyone. The layout of the house is a little different with rooms situated everywhere, but the location is perfect. The neighborhood is nice and quiet and the private beach access is literally across the street. The house sits only a short (maybe 3 mins) drive from the main Clearwater Beach restaurant and shopping area. I would definitely recommend this house and absolutely stay there again. The entire family enjoyed our stay. Thanks!

  Awesome spot to stay, lots of rooms, lots of beds, great pool and hottub. Private access beach 3 min away walking. Weather was great, layout of house was a bit different but had everything we needed. Kids got up and swam everyday and played in the hottub, we didnt have to go to any theme parks (but we did) great spot1! Kids in rooms far enough away that the 4 adults played music, had drinks and played games without ever waking the kids. And tonnes of lizards which the kids had me chasing to try and catch (no instructions on how to catch them!)

  We stayed a week at this house in October. The house is in a nice area and close to the beach, which is beautiful. It is large enough for big families and was clean. We chose this house because of the location and the pool and hot tub, which were not in working order. The bicycles are old and tires too flat to ride on and the pump did not work. Considering the price we paid, we expected what was advertised and were disappointed. Dick did not respond to our call suggesting we be compensated for the lack of amenities we had paid for. I would suggest anyone renting this house be sure and have your contract clearly state what you are paying for.

  Owner response: we were at mercy of pool repair company who ordered wromg parts twice which caused the delay. the bike pump is new and does work, however the prior tenants caused the flat tires and did not report them.. we will doing away with bikes as they are too much of a libility and we fear that children ride them without proper equiptment and our insurance agent says florida leads country in bike accidents and he suggested to remove bikes as there are rental shops nearby.

  My mother and I along with her two dogs and my fiance and 2 yr old son stayed here sept. 2010 and we had a great time. We were able to have a reunion with family who lives in fl and saw aunts who haden't yet met our young son. The home is huge and there are many places to relax and have some alone time. The only thing that was upsetting was that the hot tub was not hot the heater was broke while we were there. The pool itself though is nice and we had a great time enjoying the beautifull landscape around the hse. The area around the hse is great for long walks and the houses in the surrounding area along the water are unbelievable. The house also has three bikes but all three tires were pretty flat and when we used the pump provided the tires went flat after we were already a few blocks from the house. Oh well you can always rent a bike. All in all we would definately recommend this place to friends and family. I would have liked to stay longer if we had more time off of work. We didn't want to leave we had such a great time.

  Owner response: Our guests rarely have any complaints, on the contrary, "Sea Shells" normally, receives exuberant raves of heart felt joy!! ! However, we're very sorry you had problems biking... the bike tires are now new, so no future flat tires, expected....also, with the very hot weather, during these guest's stay, we hoped everyone could still enjoy our wonderful swimming pool and spa...the pool company had ordered the part necessary for heater repair, but delivery was delayed, which of course was beyond our control. "our apologies for any annoyance this may have caused"...other than these objections, we are happy that you all had some fun times at "Sea Shells " and if you plan to return, we will do our utmost to assure you that everyhting, as in the past, will be 100% in working condition!!! Very Sincerely, "Sea Shells" staff..

  This was our first family vacation with my in laws. We had a great time and the house was perfect. We all had our own personal areas and we also had areas where as a family we were all able to hang out and play cards. We loved that we could go swim as early as we wanted, the beach was beautiful with white sand and very clean, my mother-in-law wants to come back every summer. There was 1 crib and 2 pack and plays which made things so easy for us. Dick was there to greet us and answer any questions regarding the house. The town had great food and Caesar’s on the Beach is to die for, yum! I can't say anything negative about our experience except that we wish we could have stayed for a lot longer, we loved it. The only thing I wish to know is what other houses do you rent out and where. We love to travel and my parents already want to plan a vacation for next summer. I would love to just rent from Dick from here on out, he was so easy to work with! ps ~ the pool was very clean and the pool lady came and even cleaned it once while we were there. I would recommend this renter and house to anyone!

Weekly rental rates between $2,275 and $2,650. Monthly rental rate is $10,000.
All leases are required to pay 12% sales tax on rent, as required by law.
Cleaning fee is $200.00.  A refundable security deposit is required.
