Located near the southern shore of Tenants Harbor, this lovely farmhouse is the perfect place to bring the family for a casual mid-coast vacation. Enjoy morning coffee on the sunny deck, a heavenly place to read and relax. Just a five-minute walk down the quiet lane brings you to a beautiful wooden dock, where you can put in your kayak, swim, or simply gaze Eastward, toward the majestic islands of the Mussel Ridge Channel.
Enjoy the simple pleasures of Maine: birdwatching, walks in the woods or on the shore, curling up by the wood stove on a foggy day. Kids love the annex, which is connected by breezeway to the main house--sleep in the loft or in the double bed downstairs and enjoy the private outdoor shower. The nearby village of Port Clyde offers ferry service to Monhegan Island, and the amenities of Rockland, Rockport, and Camden are a half-hour away. Our family has enjoyed this house for three generations; we know you will too.

We enjoyed a very pleasant week at this property, It was clean and generally well maintained. The annex (barn) is more rustic than is indicated and is generally better to suited to children or teenagers who will be more accepting of this space than adults. The deck off the kitchen was much appreciated and is a great place for a morning coffee or a "sundowner". The house has excellent cross ventilation and remained cool even during hot days. The dock/float is a great amenity for this property and provides much appreciated water access for boating, observing the harbour scene or swimming. The owners were very helpful in providing information and the local handyman was appreciated (although we did not need to use his services) In terms of local attractions, most posters have mentioned the ones that I would note - Marshall Point light in Port Clyde, day trip to Vinal Haven from Rockland (via Maine State Ferry), Cods End in Tenants Harbour. Also, in Rockland check out Rock City coffee bar, In Good Company restaurant and the Farnsworth Art Gallery. For a schooner day trip, the Schooner "Heron" in Rockport is a better option than the schooners that sail from Camden in my view. Tenants Harbour and the adjacent coves and channels are great for kayaking - week long rentals (including safety gear and straps and roof pads to get your rental to the water) are available from Maine Sport Outfitters in Rockport. A rental kayak can be stored on the dock associated with the property.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, age 55+.

I have been a visitor at this charming Pink Street farmhouse for several years now, and of all the places I have stayed throughout these past twenty years on St.George peninsula, this is my favorite. It is both spacious and cozy. My special memories are of meals prepared in the large eat-in kitchen, and conversations shared over sunrise coffee or sunset wine and cheese on the front porch. It sits on a quiet street, in the heart of one of the most charming areas in Maine!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

We enjoyed our stay in this cottage on our vacay during our May visit. The owner was very prompt and friendly to my endless emails! (thanks!). The property is just as described. Our stay was comfortable and 3 Pink Street was like a welcoming friend after a long day of sightseeing. There is no view of water so keep that in mind if this is important to you. There is tons to do in the area.....and the home is conveniently located to Mid Coast outings. Our favorite spot? the front porch! What a great spot to enjoy coffee and bird watching. The only thing we would suggest is having kindling wood available for starting a fire in the fireplace (which we did use on a couple of cold Maine nights). If you want to experience Maine as Maine is (think 'Blueberries for Sal'), this is it at it's best!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, age 55+, families with young children.
