Beautiful Lakeside Condo Near Beaver Creek

You will not be disappointed

We have stayed at many different places in Avon, CO over the years and this is by far our favorite. I'm writing this now after our 3rd year in a row staying here for four nights. We love the proximity to everything a ski vacation needs - close to the shuttle, close to the lower free parking lots for Beaver Creek, great restaurants - you get the picture. Reed the owner is a great guy and the condo is by far the best we have stayed at - updated and modern. We love the view of the mountain and its great after a long day at the slopes to sit on the deck, relax and watch the groomers at night. We will be looking at dates soon to re-book for next year. After staying here, I'm sure you will do the same.

Pretty and Perfect

Reed never even asked us to write a review, and I just really wanted to do this because it was such a wonderful stay in Beaver Creek/Vail for our family. Of course Reed was there to meet us upon arrival and give us lots of detailed information on the area! We are a skiing family, but had never been in this area (we've skied all over Europe and other parts of Canada and Colorado) , and it's obviously very expensive. We found this accommodation to be in a reasonable range for the area, and very upscale with absolutely wonderful beds (very important.. after a day of skiing - and BTW the sofa bed has a total air mattress on top that was a dream for our daughter) and very convenient to both Beaver Creek and Vail (like a 10 minute drive). It was kind of hard to drag our teenage boys out of the comfortable beds, if you can call that a downside. We skied BC the first day, and opted the next 2 days for Vail, with more trails and very accommodating to the kids ages and volume of trails. We had a total blast with our family of 5, three kids 18, 16, 12. Reed - (and I'm sure his wife we never met :) ) thought of every detail in the condo, including convenient parking, firestarters, just drop the match into the fireplace, stacked firewood, and the best wind-down after a full day of skiing. Our evenings in the condo were as wonderful as our days on the slopes. Thanks for the wonderful stay in your fantastic condo. We really appreciated all of the details! It made for a fantastic family vacation and we highly recommend this property! Would rent it again if available next season! :)

Well appointed nice condo

Guest: Joan (Kansas)
Date of Stay: 12/16/11 Review Submitted: 12/21/11

First off, I would say we've stayed in a lot of rental properties - this was one of the cleanest and most well-stocked units we have ever stayed in. It was very clean - which is always nice. Lots of towels, pillows, blankets, kitchen towels, laundry soap, spices, you name it - it seemed to be there. We are used to taking our own salt and pepper shakers! The are no dresser units - but the closets have built in shelves which work very nicely for all your stuff. Place for skis at the door. Another big hall closet. Large dining room table. Kitchen big enough and most everything you need. Two twin beds in the second bedroom. The family room has the television, and a fold out couch with a "blow up" mattress. One of the best roll-aways we've ever seen. You can sleep easily two in master, two on twins, and one or two on the couch. We took along a blow up twin mattress - and this worked as another place to crash while watching TV. There is a full couch and one comfy chair. Only suggestion would be another comfy chair and an ottoman to put up feet at the end of a ski day. The owners are very nice, responsive and helpful with questions. Recommended Blue Plate And it was excellent - I would recommend it. We would stay again. Thank you!

Loved It

Guest: SJ (Des Moines, Iowa)
Date of Stay: 03/14/11 Review Submitted: 03/27/11

Our family of four stayed at this property in March 2011 and loved it. The Condo was very clean, included all the items needed for a short stay, and the owner was extremely kind and helpful. For skiers, the gondola in Avon is relatively close (I drove our skiers to and from it, which was about a 3-minute drive). Buses are also available. The lake is a nice view from the condo and the trail around the lake is a nice walk. The fireplace and large flat-screen TV were lovely after a busy day outside. The condo was comfortable, convenient, and reasonable. We loved our stay and hope to return in the future.

Perfect place, Great location

We had a perfect time. The condo was spotless, in great condition and totally as described and photographed. Worked out great with two kids. Very convenient for skiing - short drive to Vail and took a 90 second drive to a free parking lot and grabbed free shuttle to base of Beaver Creek (other easy alternative is grab bus right out front and go to the gondola at the Westin). The patio opens right up to the park and Nottingham Lake - we think it would be a great spot in the summer, too. Grabbed dinner with kids at Pazzo's Pizza and would go there again.

What a beautiful condo!!

Guest: Caroline (Washington, DC)
Date of Stay: 12/18/10 Review Submitted: 12/28/10

We just returned home from spending a week in this beautiful property. What a week it was! Our vacation began by being greeted by the owner of the property who could not have been any kinder in showing us around the unit and pointing out all of its features. He also gave us great tips of restaurants and other "non-ski" family activities that were going on that week in the area- concerts, parades, natural springs, etc. Our two young sons were thrilled that he even left a bowl full of candy canes for their enjoyment! The condo itself is located in the town of Avon, and the foot of Beaver Creek. Even though we had rented a car for the week, and thought that we would be driving to Beaver Creek, we took the Owners seasoned advice and walked maybe 150 feet to the bus stop that is at the entrance of the complex, caught the free bus to Avon Station then walked across the street to the Westin's Gondola. It was super easy and quick! We did end up driving on the days that we skied at Vail. The unit itself has everything that one would need! We actually went to Pazzo's for pizza the first night (again per the Owner's suggestion- delicious!), but cooked dinner the remainder of time in the condo. It truly felt like a home away from home. Without a doubt we would stay at this location again!

Excellent Hide Away

Guest: Frankie (Colorado)
Date of Stay: 08/17/10 Review Submitted: 08/25/10

A tastefully decorated, immaculately clean and well maintained compact unit complete with top of the line appliances, high end electronics and plenty of thoughtful amenities. Close to the path around Nottingham Lake as well bus route and major roads with lovely views. Nice place to stay. Only negatives are: master bath narrows and mighty be a tight fit for anyone of "size" and both bedrooms hear sound of road traffic but that doesn't prevent a good night's sleep after a day out and about. Good sized City Market in Avon along with several deli-bakeries and wine stores to load up and eat in the unit. Ti Amo continues to excel as a local favorite Italian restaurant and reservations during the middle of an August week were necessary. Despite this, mid August is a quieter, more relaxed time to visit and enjoy the beautiful mountain valleys, bike paths and hiking trails. Lots of families enjoying themselves. Our favorite time to visit and we hope to return to this unit.
