Top Montmartre!
Apartment with 2 rooms (one living room and one bedroom), 40 m² (430 square feet), ideal for up to 4 people, very calm and lovely decorated, fully furnished, in rue Gabrielle, at the real place where Picasso discovered Paris first time. The place to be for a perfect and unforgettable stay.
We are located at the top and in the heart of the hill, in the old village, at a quaint village square, with its typical french bakery, one hundred metres only from Place du Tertre, Sacre-Coeur, Moulin de la Galette, ...
This famous and picturesque quarter gathers many typical restaurants, theatres, gardens, even a vineyard in the vicinity, historical monuments and views upon Paris, ... everything you could need for day & night life. The area is perfectly safe and our street very quiet.
The place is very convenient for discovering Paris: 30 minutes from CDG, 2 metro stations (2 or 4 minutes walking), bus stop is in front of the door: 20 meters, in use till midnight.
To rent for short or vacation stay, €120/day, €600-€950/week depending on period. We offer an other apartment in the same building: look at 'Magic View' (especially convenient if you are many people travelling together).

After 15 years away from Paris, we had some expectations before our stay. We got them all answered positive.... Let me say it in this way- it was so excellent- and we got the Montmartre mood, the evenings, the flamboyant Paris feeling.. next time I visit Paris- we will first ask Valeria and Jean Yves for renting this again... Valeria is so nice and service minded.. the flat was clean, the beds was soft, and it was so amusing. some advices: we followed Valerias advice of going by bus, buy a visitParis pass- and you can go by Metro, bus etc as much as you like. The bus allow you watching paris, the Metro not. buy pain chocolait and cafe in the morning and visit Abbesses area. go to the greek small restaurant in the neighborhood. And have a wonderful stay in Paris! we got our deposit back quickly...Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, tourists without a car.

It was marvellous! As good or better as the expectations one might have from seeing the website (it really is a magic view particularly when the eiffel tower is sparkling!). The owners, Valerie and Jean are charming and it is all very straightforward. The room is spacious and comfortable. We loved sitting at the table writing postcards, organising future travel on out laptop, writing in our diaries and eating home-cooked meals or yummy things we had bought in the nearby shops and chatting. Speaking of which, there is everything so close, florist, veges, butcher, delis, bakery (best croissant I ever had nearby), bars and restaurants etc. Being in this apartment with the lovely view enabled me to feel I was still experiencing Paris wihout having to walk! (We spent most of our days walking our little a..... off!). And it is a great position. Metro not far away. Sacre Couer just over the hill. You do need to be able to cope with lots of steps and hills though!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.

We stayed for a week in this comfortable apartment and had a wonderful time. It's quiet at night and feels very much like a family home, with lots of lovely books to look at. The food shops in Montmartre are fabulous so we ate at home most nights. Going to other parts of Paris from here is very easy and Montmartre has lots of interesting places to explore too. Great walks!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

My sister, mother, and I were doing a European trip and I was responsible for booking everything. I spent hours choosing apartments at VRBO and since it was my first time booking apartment via the site, I was quite anxious in sending a deposit to someone/a company I have had never heard of. But my worries disappeared as I got the chance to talk on the phone to Jean Yves and also to Valerie - I just had the guts that they were very, very friendly and kind. And indeed they were. Even when we had to change the dates 2 times (My sister holds an Indonesian passport so Schengen visa application was especially tricky). At the end I did not get the chance to go there to but my sister and mother did, and they had a wonderful time! They adored your apartment, loved Montmartre and Paris. Merci Beaucoup Valerie and Jean Yves. Anita, London, UKDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Who doesn't fantasize about having their own apartment in Paris? For a weekend, at least, the fantasy came through. This was a charming studio in a neighborhood with a lot of character. It was accessible to public transportation and the hosts were very friendly and helpful. I hope I have another chance to stay here.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We just spent a week in JY and Valerie's house in Montmartre. This was our first time in Paris - I must say the house was our haven for those eight days. Its a lovely house, with beautiful light and atmosphere. The windows look out into a pretty cobblestone street. The main Montmartre square and Sacre Coeur is just a few minutes away. Every day we walked around Montmartre we would find another fascinating and beautiful place. The hill is like a treasure house! The rooms are comfortable and homely, I did'nt once feel like I am not in my own house. The kitchen is well stocked and easy to work in. JY and Valerie are exceptionally warm and friendly people. I would recommend this flat to my friends and to anyone else visiting Paris.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We spent a week in March at this very nice apt. As a flight attendant, I love to be comfortable on vacation. This apt was a perfect place to be a part of Paris, explore the sites, and come to our sweet spot to sleep. We loved this apt. and the warm welcome we received from our host, and from all of the French people we met. Everyone was so kind...do not believe what you hear..go to Paris and be nice and the French are more than kind to us in return. Oh, and stay at this cool apt and truely enjoy Paris. Our sincere regards to the wonderful people of Paris.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0
