I decided to rent this home due to having an abundance of people in from out of town for my Bday, we had the most amazing time at this home, the bikes came in SUPER handy when riding to the beach, its super close to HB downtown, and reasonably priced. The owners were super gracious to help out and even searched through furniture for me when a camera came up lost after my departure. I would recommend this home in a second and will definitely rent again!!!! THANKS!!!!!

Great Holiday Rental

This is a really great holiday rental. The property is in a super location - Huntington Beach has so much to offer, and the house is an easy walk to the beach and town centre whilst being far enough away to be peaceful. The Sand Castle is very well furnished and equipped with everything you could possibly need for a fabulous holiday. Guests of all ages and interests could not fail to enjoy their stay and the facilities provided. The owners were extremely helpful both before we travelled and following our arrival and did everything they could to facilitate our arrival and departure for our convenience. We would definitely stay here again.

We just got back from staying at the Sand Castle. We took our whole family (10), Grandma, kids, spouses and grandchild, and we had a wonderful time. The description and pictures of the home are very accurate. The place was clean and very well stocked, especially the kitchen. Besides buying fresh food at the grocery store, the only thing we needed to buy were trash bags. The neighborhood is very nice and quiet with friendly neighbors. Our two-year old grandson loved playing with all of the toys and our adult children enjoyed watching sports on the big screen TVs and biking down to the beach. The location was perfect for everything we wanted to do including going to a USC football game (45 min.) and spending three days in Disneyland (20 min.) Many of our children arrived or departed at different times and the trip to Long Beach airport was only twenty minutes. We would highly recommend this property to anyone. Thanks Steven and Lisa!

Family and Friends Holiday

We had family and friends stay with us at the Sand Castle during the 4th of July week. We weren't sure what to expect however everything exceeded our expectations. The Sand Castle is located walking/biking distance between the beach and downtown area. Both the owners and the property mgr called us during our stay to make sure everything was fine and if we were in need of anything. We had a full house the entire time and never once felt like we were in a confined space or needed more room. We would highly recommend the Sand Castle to any family who wishes to have a nice, quiet, relaxing vacation.

Family Reunion

We rented the Sand Castle for a week and loved it! We live in Germany and our 3 adult kids are scattered across America. We had 13 people staying and everyone had a place to sleep and plenty of space. The bikes were wonderful to ride to the beach on and we had lots of BBQ's with the provided grill. Thank you Steve and Lisa! Having propane and spices already on hand was so helpful! We hope to stay again in the future. I highly recommend staying at the Sand Castle!

We were very happy with our beach rental. The proximity to HB restaurants and to the beach was wonderful. The bikes made it great for long bike rides from HB on the bike trails along the beach. The bike ride to breakfast at the Sugar Shack (great place) took 5 minutes. The patio was great for cookouts and relaxing outside. Steve was very accommodating. We look forward to next year!

We had the most fantastic stay at The Sand Castle! Steven and Lisa were very sweet and ensured that our stay was memorable and accomodating in every way possible. The home is just blocks from the beach and Main st, and is in one of the best locations in HB! The house is very well organized and everything that you need or want is at your fingertips! The special additions and "extras" made such a difference and really added to the ambiance of the home! We have 3 year old twin girls and they had such a great selection of toys and things to keep them happy and content! There is also a bike with a childrens seat on the back, which was amazing and a huge hit!!! Thank you Steven and Lisa for the most memorable vacation to HB to date!! ~The L Family

Son's Wedding

We spent 4 nights at this home for our son's wedding in Costa Mesa. It slept 12 of our family comfortably and the home was clean, updated and in a nice area. They have everything you need for a comfortable stay. We road the bikes, had a barbeque, went to the beach (1 mile away) with easy access and entertained guests during our stay. We recommend this property without reservation to families who want to get away.

My daughter found this home while searching for a hotel, condo, or some accomodation that would fit all of our family. We have 5 children, 3 of which are married with 4 small children. She found the "Sand Castle" online and we booked it right away. When we arrived we were very pleased with our choice. Yes, we could have stayed in a hotel but the home was AWESOME! The kids were more at ease, the rooms were very comfortable, it was wonderful having everyone be together in the same area and being able to cook saved us $$ on our vacation. There were 12 bikes and we took advantage by biking to the beach nearly everyday. It was so great being able to have that option. Even on days we kicked back the bikes were a great choice. The area is beautiful and close to the beach. The men took advantage of the ping pong table and there was a 'tournament' nearly everyday! We didn't have to take sand toys or chairs for the beach because they had EVERYTHING you would need or want. Pack light because you won't need to worry you forgot something, The owners have thought of everything. The drive to Disneyland was acceptable and I much preferred staying close to the beach and then driving to the Park. The owners were there to greet us, give us directions to restaurants and local favorites and they made us feel very much at ease. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a place to stay on their vacation in SoCal. We are already planning on returning as soon as we can! Thanks Sand Castle for a great place to stay!

The home and location were perfect. On a quiet street and only minutes to the beach. The amount of bikes and red wagon really came in handy for all the kids. We had 10 people in this home and still had plenty of room. My family and I hope to make this a yearly getaway. Homeowners were very helpful with information on the local and surrounding scene. What an amazing place to stay! We just returned home after a week with our entire extended family (8 adults; 4 toddlers and 1 teenager) at the Sand Castle in Huntington Beach. We are all still talking about it. The home is so comfortable, beautiful and well appointed. Even with our crowd, it was possible to spend some time alone because the house is very well laid out. And it is VERY close to downtown HB so we walked to breakfast every day! Steven and his wife were a great help on our arrival - also the information folders in every room answered last minute questions. We rent vacation homes all the time and this was by far, THE BEST. We come to HB at least 4 times a year and we will always try to rent the Sand Castle - even with just our family of 4 - we enjoyed it that much!

I will recommend this property every time. Steve and Lisa do a great job and their home is beautiful. I am the coach of a Women's Tennis Team (Skidmore College). We were there for spring break and training. Absolutely perfect for us...plenty of room (10 of us) and top of the line everything. Easy access to town and the beach too. We will definitely be back there next time we're in the area, and I encourage anyone looking to rent a home there to rent The Sand Castle. You will not be dissappointed.

Thanks so much for letting us stay in your rental. It was fantastic! We were very impressed with ALL of the touches that went into the house - granite, crown molding, decor, sound systems, iPod docks, etc. The space was perfect... we had 3 adults and 5 kids (3 teens) and everyone had their own space. Location was super! The teens walked to the beach everyday while the smaller kids & adults rode the provided bikes. Close to stores, restaurants, and theme parks. Communication with you was simple and easy. Would/will definitely stay again. Thanks again!!

The Sand Castle was the perfect stay for my group of friends visiting Huntington Beach. Everyone was comfortable and had an excellent time. This place feels like your own home! It is tailored to the Guest and very convenient! The beds are very nice and friends mentioned how lovely the place looked, they especially enjoyed the bicycles and the sound system in the bathroom while they got ready. The Sand Castle has all the little extras (ipod stations, Fans, music, & DVD's) that make it a perfect place to stay! Steven was very helpful if we needed something during our stay. I will definitely stay there again next time I come to Huntington Beach!

Steven and Lisa, Thank you so much for making our stay in Huntington Beach so great. We enjoyed walking and bicycling to the beach every day and felt right at home in your lovely house that was generously furnished. The fact that you included so many kitchen items (spices, cooking oil, etc.) that would have been expensive and tedious to buy for a short stay was an unexpected bonus. We had friends staying in a rented house nearby at the same time we were there and they were jealous of the comfort and furnishings of the Sand Castle compared to the house they were renting. Not only do we plan to return to stay at the Sand Castle again, our friends who were there are also interested in returning and renting a better house next time! We highly recommend the Sand Castle to anyone looking to stay in the best part of the greater LA area.- Huntington Beach.

My entire family which is alot of us stayed for a week during our family reunion, and we loved the Sand Castle. Every thing we needed was there. The house is beautifully decorated and we truly felt at home. There were lot's for the little ones to do, my nephews and nieces loved the bikes that were provided, the pingpong table was also a big treat, the owners were very kind and helpful,they made our stay very comfortable.
