Another 20 minutes north will get you right into the heart of Kailua Kona. Forty-five minutes to the south east will get you right into the town of Volcano where you can visit the actively flowing Kiluea Volcano flowing into the sea.
Hilo is just another 15-20 past the Volcano's Park. Great hiking, fishing, and Green Sand beach nearby. Very close (10 minutes) to the secluded Honomalino beach where you can sea sea turtles basking in the sun or swimming near the shore. |
