Sitting room parquet floors and antique furniture - Florence, Italy Vacation Accommodation VIA DI MEZZO APARTMENT This 120 square meters apartment is located on the second floor (40 easy steps) of an 18th century building (the marble plaque on its front mentions a famous 19th century tenant) in a pleasant street next door to a 4-star hotel on Via di Mezzo. The street is in the heart of town, 150 yards from the Duomo, 30 yards from the church of Sant'Ambrogio, one of the two built by Charlemagne in our city. The closest parking is 100 yards away (€ 18 euros x day or €80 per 100 hours). Synagogue, churches, gym, children's playground, supermarkets, street market, restaurants, bars, buses, etc. are literally just around the corner. The apartment consists of: 1) A large and welcoming fully-furnished back kitchen leading to a small terrace (with a quaint back view) where two people can sit and eat in the summer time. 2) A bathroom adjoining the large double bedroom. 3) A long corridor leading to another bathroom. 4) TWO front rooms full of light and sunshine. The larger of the two front rooms (20 sq. meters) is a standard sitting room with table and chairs, couch, armchairs, TV, etc. while the smaller room is a bedroom, single or double as needed. The apartment has parquet floors, some design furniture, and nice antique pieces -- tables, sideboard, bookcases, chest of drawers. We also have another apartment - LILY APARTMENT - walking distance from this one - located on the high second floor (walk up 68 steps) of an unassuming 12th century palazzo in the historical center of Florence. The living room overlooks a quiet inner garden adjoining the garden of the hotel Monna Lisa and the Teatro della Pergola. Over the gardens one can see Brunelleschi's cupola of the Duomo, about 150 meters away This 45 sq. meters duplex is very quiet and comfortable. It includes: - a cozy bedroom, with 2 twin size beds that can be made up as a double - a sunny living room with radio, cassette player, TV (and VCR on request) - a kitchen area with fridge, twin electric burner and microwave/grill, toaster, electric iron (next to the stairs) - a new bathroom with shower (hair dryer is provided) - air conditioning (hot/cold) Ideally sleeps two people, with the possibility to fit one or two extra people on the comfortable sofabed downstairs AMENITIES Bedding : 1 Sofabed, 2 Single bed.
