Recently the authorities have designated the street just below ours (because of the British Embassy) a "pedestrian only" so it makes our street less traveled by automobile.
You can spend afternoons sitting in Kolonaki Square for plates of "meze", alongside locals sipping (mon dieu!) pastis.

Kolonaki is a short 5 minute walk to Syntagma Square in close proximity to Plaka, Monastiraki, and Omonia - Syntagma Square is home to the old Royal Palace and today's business district. Monastiraki is the market district and Plaka is the oldest (and most postcard-pretty) section of Athens and surrounds the Acropolis. |
