Our Michigan rustic cabin is located in the Forest Lakes resort area just southeast of Traverse City. It sits on 200 feet of bay and lake shore of beautiful Spider Lake on two quiet acres of hardwoods, pine trees, and fresh air.
Amenities include an equipped kitchen area including microwave oven, living/dining room (sleeps 4), l bedroom (sleeps 2), 2 televisions with VCR, 100 square feet of decking, an outdoor stone fireplace and gas grill. The cabin is heated and air-conditioned if the need arises.
An adjacent storage cabin features two bunk beds. All linens except personal towels are furnished. The location offers spectacular views of the lake, bay, and woods. A small fishing boat and dock are furnished for your enjoyment and a swimming platform is available for your use. A paddle boat and 2 kayaks are recent additions. A new sleeper sofa and chair have been added for your comfort. And the cabin now offers satellite television.
Whether you prefer a lazy or active vacation, you will find it here. On site, you might go for a swim, take a hike, enjoy the great fishing, row the interesting lake shore, read a book, enjoy a casual dinner, or relax on the deck. There are several golf courses and other lakes close at hand. Spider Lake boat launch is nearby. A park with tennis courts, basketball goals, and hiking trails is less than a mile away. Cross country bike trails are nearby as well.
Just 16 minutes from Traverse City and other interesting sites, you might enjoy shopping, a drive on the peninsula, a concert, dinner overlooking beautiful Grand Traverse Bay, and so much more. Casinos are located 30 miles north and 15 miles west. Interlochen Music Camp is nearby.
Our cabin is available for weekly rental, June through September, to a maximum of six persons for $800 per week. A $200 deposit is required to hold your reservation and the balance is due one month prior to your arrival. More detailed directions and information will be provided at the time you make your reservation.
