The busline is located only steps away from the cottage. One block away is beautiful Mount Baker Park, Mioposto Café, Wine and gourmet food shop. Mount Baker Park has children's play area, tennis courts and paved bike and walkways down to Lake Washington and Mount Baker Beach. Take the path three miles south to Seward Park, which is noted as one of the most beautiful parks in the North west.
Heading North from Mount Baker Beach, are three of Seattle's most beautiful and popular neighborhoods. Located only two miles from Mount Baker Beach is Leschi, known for its waterfront restaurants, neighborhood grocery and marina. Continue one mile north and you will come upon Madrona, a trendy neighborhood filled with several well known restaurants, cafes, and shops. Continue on about one mile from Madrona and four miles from the cottage, you will come upon historic Madison Park, a favorite Seattle neighborhood with diverse restaurants, upscale shops, parks and beach.
Mount Baker Neighborhood hosts Seattle's annual Seafair, which includes an airshow featuring the U.S Navy Blue Angels, hydroplane races, a fireworks show, and other festivities. To enjoy Seafair, simply step outside and walk two blocks to Lake Washington to be apart of this very popular and national event.
