Welcome to our Mexican Paradise.
We are located on the beach just a short walk to the quaint fishing of Telchac Puerto on the Gulf of Mexico. Telchac has shops for groceries, vegetables & fruit, seafood restaurants , a market, medical clinic, pay phones (to be used with phone cards), a tortilleria, a hardware store, internet cafes(high-speed) taxis and good bus service.
Telchac is 25 minutes from the port city of Progreso, (population 45,000)which has all the services of a large city, including ATM machines, grocery stores, shopping, restaurants, a boardwalk and a port that accommodates cruise ships.
The beautiful and historical city of Merida, (population 1 million), capital of the Yucatan, is approximately 45 minutes away. Merida has culture, history, hospitals, markets, museums, libraries and shopping (Costco, Walmart, Sam's Club, Home Depot).
Ourt villa has 2 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, open concept kitchen/dining/living room, as well as a TV room, front patio and thatched back patio. The master bedroom has a king bed, ensuite bathroom and thatched balcony over looking the Gulf. The sounds of the waves lapping on the shore provides restful tranquil sleep. The spare bedroom has a queen and a double bed plus ensuite bathroom.
ACTIVITIES AND ATTRACTIONS:
Fishing trips, sight seeing excursions, Mayan ruins, Cenotes, shelling, beach walks, biking, kayaking, bird watching, nature preserves, boat rides, quaint towns and haciendas. The greater Yucatan area has Mayan pyramids, beaches, colonial cities, caves and cenotes. Yucatan Today, an informative tourist guide, will be available at the villa to help you plan day trips.

The closest international airport is in Merida, approximately 1 1/2 hours away. Cheaper flights can be found when flying into Cancun, where you can rent a car (cheaper online). Cancun is a 4-5 hour drive on excellent roads.

Why the Owner Chose Telchac Puerto
The reason we bought a vacation rental in this area is because it met all the criteria that we were looking for in a rental property.Reasonably priced compared to the Mayan coast, safe, close to excellent hospitals, close to an airport (11/2) hours from Merida airport & only 4 hours from Cancun airport, excellent roads. We love the colonial capital city of Merida which is only 45 min away. Also close to progresso where the cruise ships come in. We were really impressed with the area.
The Unique Benefits of this Townhome
We love beeing on the beach, listening to the waves at night & looking at the water during the day, seeing occ dolphins swim by, just a 20 min walk to the little village of Telchac Puerto. We love the new pier that you can walk on or fish from. We really love the quaintness of the village & of most of all the people of the village who alot have become our friends.

Everything was great, we loved our month vacation at Telchac Puerto. The villa is very comfortable, everything is convenient, well equipped and very 'agréable'. Nice neighborhood and Gary (Mexican), the excellent contact of the villa. We would come back anytime.
