If you like history the cottage is only minutes to the Wright Brothers Museum, the Lost Colony at Roanoke Island, and historic Okracoke and Bodie Inlet Lighthouses or drive down to Cape Hatteras. Do you like water sports try surfing, boogie boarding, para-sailing or try surf fishing just 100 yards from the cottage.
If you like a bigger challenge take a deep sea fishing excursion from Ocracoke Inlet only 15 miles from the cottage or go fishing in the Albermarle Sound or at the oceanfront. There are plenty of great seafood restaurants and other interesting places to eat within minutes of the cottage. And finally, If you just want some peace and quiet or just want to enjoy the sun, "Southward" cottage is located on a private road in a quiet area of South Nags Head at Milepost 20.5 that backs up to Pea Island State Park.
