| Enjoy the pleasures of living in this beautiful, serene, light-filled one bedroom condo in the North Berkeley hills. It is one unit out of four in a charming building built in the 1920s that retains some of its lovely period details. This is an ideal, romantic getaway from which you can explore the bay area. We the owners are academics, and we have decorated the apartment with furniture, rugs and artwork from our travels around the world, particularly in India and South East Asia. This is a very special place and we know you will enjoy it as much as we do!
The entire apartment is a roomy, pristine and airy 1100 square feet, and includes a separate living room and dining room, a fully equipped kitchen, and a private patio where you can enjoy the garden and views of the san francisco bay. The living room also boasts stunning views of the bay. Every window in the apartment overlooks the garden and/or the patio.
The apartment is ideal for a single person or a couple, but can accommodate up to four adults as the living room can be used as an additional sleeping area (with a full size futon).
The beauty and calm of the space are matched only by its truly spectacular location: you are just a few blocks away from North Berkeley's "Gourmet Ghetto": the Cheese Board, the legendary Chez Panisse restaurant, Black Oak Books, and other Berkeley institutions are but a ten minute walk away. Tilden Park, with its miles of hiking, running and biking trails, is a 5-10 minute drive, and both the main UC Berkeley campus and the famous Berkeley Rose Garden are 5 minute walks away. The condo is easily accessible by both bus and BART (a 15 minute walk away). |
