This newly constructed 3,500 sq. ft. home,located in Colonial El Obraje, provides majestic views of this historic city. Located in the area of the Fabrica La Aurora Art Center, "Casa Cecilia" is within 10 minutes walking distance to the Mercato and the Jardin. This stunning work of contemporary architecture has one of the most spectacular views of San Miguel that you will find.
The rooftop gives you a 360-degree view of San Miguel, including the Paroquia and magnificent sunsets. Two additional deck patios offer inspiring views as well. This three level, two bedroom, 2 bath home features a master bedroom with queen size bed, master bath, sitting room and terrace on the first level. Sofa on this level opens to queen size bed. The second level walled by windows and a flowered terrace, fills this open space with light and San Miguel views. A combined state of the art kitchen, living room with fireplace and dining room occupy the second level, as well as a separate second bedroom with twin beds and bath.
The third level holds a spectacular rooftop area. Perfect for dining, sunning or to watch the sunset as it dissolves into evening and awakens the city of twinkling lights. Casa Cecilia's multi living levels provide for privacy and space for up to 4 guests. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances, including double sink, dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave and gas stove. Master bath has double sinks, shower and soaking tub with adjoining walk-in closets and built in drawers. Cable television in Spanish or English and Wireless Internet access are included.
The home has a 1-car garage, and a gigantic basement, with electricity and good light. Perfect for any artists or sculptors who might need an unrestricted place to work. Casa Cecilia is perfect for those who desire the rustic feel of San Miguel and all the luxury of modern living. Housekeeper is included in the rent for 2 days. For an additional fee, she is available on a daily basis and meal preparation from our "Casa Cecilia" menu.

Loved our time in SMA (March) lots of exercise walking everywhere so feeling fit and relaxed. Favorite resaurants are Harry's Bar and Cafe Ole' (little sausages & mango mousse) The concerts were awesome and superb value. The buse to La Gruta hot springs was cheap and fast (go on thursday they change the waters on Wed.) Greate place to find silver or gold little pople (Ninas or Ninos) for attaching to chains (engraved with names). Enjoyed a jewelery making workshop at bottom of Hernadas Macias. Be sure to visit the Toller Cranston's estate at the bottom of Sollano near Juarz Park. Spectacular Art and setting and he was very hospitable. Thank You for sharing this cheerful Casa.

We just spent a most enjoyable month here in Casa Cecilia in SMA. We had heard of SMA for years and finally came to see for ourselves - we will be back. It is truly a unique spot in the world - so much to offer and all within walking distance or a short bus ride! The food and people are wonderful and the fiestas are fun and the roof top terrace for breakfast and sunsets is perfect. You have a lovely home and thank you for sharing it! Patricia is also wonderful - so nice to not have to worry about cleaning & laundry. Hasta Pronto!

October 1 - 2008 to Feb 28/2009 We have had such an amazing time for the past 4 months. We have been humbled by working with the children at the orphanage along the joy of so many people who have so very little. The Casa has been so comfortable that we have truly thought of it as home. SMA captured our hearts so we will return in six or seven months. Your maid "Patty" has been wonderful.

We have been visiting San Migueland most likely will retire here. Your home is lovely and we enjoyed the quite nights compared to other areas. This house was very comfortable and Patricia you housekeeper very hospitable. Our favorite restaurants are still Ole-Ole, The Resurant, La Paroquia (for lunch)and El Buen Cafe for breakfast. Looking forward to our next visit this summer.

Casa Cecilia has been the perfect base from which to explore the town and surrounding areas. We love the neighborhood - feeding the critters, shopping at the tiendas on the hill, chatting with the neighbors and the phenomenal sunsets. The bus at the bottom of the hill was so convenient.

We only spent 4 days in San Miguel, it was not enough time to see it all. Casa Cecilia was beautiful. We loved it becase it only took 5 minutes to get to the "Mercado" can't wait to come back soon!

Renting this amazing Casa as the first was a real honor. Everything was beyond any thought or expectation. So little time to see so many beautiful things.
