We made a quick trip through Roswell with our two little ones (ages 2 and 6 months) and had a wonderful stay at Enchanted Cottage. It is such a beautiful little home, wonderfully furnished with excellent snacks and breakfast goodies stocked in the fridge. It is conveniently located to take advantage of the sites in Roswell, in fact, it makes it hard to leave each morning after sitting out on deck looking at pond. If we come through area again, we hope to stay there (I accidently drove off with a key and had to mail it back, I think subconsciously I wanted to stay!). Owners are very helpful and friendly.

My family (human and canine) and I enjoyed staying at the Enchanted Cottage. It was all that was promised in the VRBO listing and more. The owner provides all that is needed for a lovely breakfast each day--eggs, milk, juice, bagels, fruit, and even the equipment and directions to make Belgian waffles. Sitting on the deck enjoying the different types of birds around the pond is peaceful. Also, there is a small zoo and art museum just up the street. Beyond these, there are quite a lot of nearby museums and restaurants in Roswell. We hope to return soon!

We stayed at the Enchanted Farm Cottage for the first time on June 17 and 18, 2011. It was more than we expected. Everything that we were promised was there. The unit was spotlessly clean. The ac was on and classical music playing when we arrived. The refrig was stocked with freash food. The cottage is very nicely arranged. The bonus, in our opinion, is the back porch with a view of the pond with a large varity of birds. It is quiet and the owner seemed to be very sincere in making us feel welcome and comfortable. This is by far a better choice than some motel in town.

Stayed for 2 nights the last week in March. The property is just minutes from downtown Roswell, but feels like your out in the country. The hosts are very friendly and accomodating. Because we made arrangements to stay last minute, Susan felt bad that she couldn't provide us with a full breakfast, but the huevos rancheros which she supplied the ingredients for were awesome! The fridge was also stocked with bottled water and juice, plus some condiments. The cottage is very nicely decorated, and everything you need is included... shampoo, body wash, lots of towels and extra bedding, dvd's, books, and of course a full kitchen. The deck surrounding the house is really nice. The pond out back was quite entertaining with tame and wild ducks, geese, lots of birds, and the neigbours goats in the pasture one morning. We also enjoyed watching the bats hunting after sunset. If you like peace and quiet, and a comfy, homey place, this is definately it! Thanks, Susan & Michael for hosting us!
Owner response:We love having "last minute guests"! We can rent the Cottage without breakfast for a reduced rate but we still like to leave our guests a little something "New Mexico style". Come stay with us anytime!

My Son, my Brother and I spent Spring Break at the Cottage and had a great time. It was centrally located for day trips to the Carlsbad Caverns area and the Sierra Blanca Mountains. We had what most would consider a "working vacation" since we were up and on the road by 8AM every day and usually returned around 9PM after a full day of hiking, so the full breakfast supplies re-stocked everyday was very well appreciated to fuel us up (great fresh eggs!). It's a very clean place, relaxing and felt very close to home. So for a guy's get-away trip, this cottage fits the bill for a small group. Thanks Susan!
Owner response:We are very greatful for the nice reviews our renters send us. We try to do the most we can for each guest and have enjoyed meeting people from around the country and Canada. We are a great central location for a trip to this area, close to Bitterlakes National Wildlife Refuge, Bottomless Lakes State Park, Carlsbad Caverns, Sierra Blanca, Ruidoso, Capitan Mountain and White Sands National Monument. And we always have fresh eggs from our free-range chickens! Come see us sometime.

My wife and I stayed a week at Enchanted Cottage, and it was wonderful. The owners quickly became like good friends while still respecting our privacy. The cottage is so comfortable, and the breakfast provided each morning was outstanding. We recommend this place for anyone traveling in southeastern New Mexico.

I stayed in this cottage in November of 2008. It was for one night as I was passing through on my trip. My experience far exceeded my expectations. The owners were so very kind. We even went for a walk together around the property. He even taught my Golden Retriever how to fetch duck feathers. My Golden even made friends with their dogs and they all went swimming in the pond. I have to say that the stay was the greatest. The cabin is very nicely appointed. I was living in luxury for the day. I highly recommend this rental. Five stars !!

We stayed for 10 days at the Cottage Bed and Breakfast and it was the most relaxing and enjoyable part of our 3 month winter tour of the southwest. The only close comparable Bed and Breakfast was in San Antonio, Tx

My wife and I stayed in the Enchanted Farm Cottage with our 1 month old baby daughter. This is an absolutely beautiful spot. Very private and very comfortable. The mornings are filled with the songs of numerous birds. The cottage is like new and the deck is awesome with great views of the pond and surrounding natural landscape. It was a week to remember in Roswell. Thanks Mike, Mackenzie and Rhea
