Typical Villa in the Tuscan Countryside
- Minimum stay:3-7 nights
- Internet:Yes
- Pets allowed:Yes
- Wheel chair accessible:No
Perched on a hilltop above fields of vineyards and forests of regal cypress trees stands an ancient farmhouse dating to 1200 and built in the ochre stone so indicative of the Tuscan style. Centrally located near the cities of Florence and Siena
The apartment has all the comforts of a home away from home: satellite television, telephone and internet connection area. A barbeque is also available.
The vast garden surrounding the property leads to a large swimming pool built at the edge of a hilltop plateau and nearly hidden amongst olive trees. On the hillside below, six hectares of cultivated land make for lazy summer afternoons wandering the vineyards or savoring a ripe fig just picked from the tree. Relaxing at poolside, guests can sip a cool drink while taking in the breathtaking view of the valley and the distant outline of charming medieval villages on the horizon.
Walking and bicycle trails radiate from Il Casale di Villore, making it an ideal location from which to explore the Tuscan countryside. We are able to organize guided excursions for those seeking full immersion in the tradition and natural beauty of the region. Nearby stables are a wonderful option for riding enthusiasts and do-it-yourselfers can rent bicycles directly at Villore.
Guests can count on Villore’s staff to assist them with all of their needs, from organizing transport to making restaurant reservations. Masseuse services (outdoor SPA area), meal preparation by a local chef and additional housekeeping are all available upon request

This place is amazing. A great location, very close to some great old hilltop towns, and just a short drive to both Florence and Siena. Antonio really takes care of you, from booking your tickets to the famous museums, to recommending great local spots to eat and drink. And his dog, Lela, is a wonderful pup, always excited to see you, and ready for a belly rub! Our apartment was the Prugnolo, and it was more than we could have asked for. Large, comfortable, and well furnished, it was perfect. We cannot wait to go back for an extended visit, and couldn't recommend this place more! Email Antonio today, what are you waiting for??Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

As I sit here on our second to last night at Villore, I am remembering all the fond experiences of this past week. We have one more day to explore Greve in Chianti before we leave early in the morning on Saturday. Although we visited in late March, the weather was wonderful. In the mid 20's C. We stayed in Prugnolo and well worth the upgrade even though we were only two people. Lots of space to spread out. Americans, if you like extra space on vacation, I can recommend this place. Villore sits on a hilltop overlooking olive groves and vineyards just 7 km outside Poggibonsi. We did all our sightseeing of Tuscany from here. We went to San Gimignano, Volterra, Castlina di Chianti and Firenze all on day trips. We did our own cooking and took Antonio's advice on a nice local restaurant when we didn't want to cook. He helped us find PAM, the local supermarket which saved us on groceries. There you can get all your favorite cheeses and meats and that special Chianti Classico at a good price. Antonio took out a map on our second day there and proceeded to circle places to visit. Each was a charming hill town which we thoroughly enjoyed. Loved Volpaia where we enjoyed the hospitality of Paula at Bar-Uzzi. She made us welcome despite the fact she did not speak a lick of English. Food was terrific. the only complaint I had was that the nights were a little cool but then you just have to have that extra glass of Chianti and snuggle. Visit Antonio's wife's place just on the next hill at Tolciana. We visited the old church there for Mass on Sunday and enjoyed the service with 13 local members. Thanks again Antonio for a great Tuscan holiday. Dan and PattyRecommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

We stayed at Casale di Villore on a friend's recommendation and we did not regret it. The owner, Antonio, made us feel at home and provided us with usefull informations to make our trip memorable. The location is ideale, between Florence and Siena, the grounds are well maintained and what about the view, breathless. We had the opportunity to really enjoy the villa because everything is so close and can be done in a day trip. Our appartement was very clean and functional for our family of 4. We stayed in the Prugnolo. We would definitely recommend this villa to anyone. If we are to go back to Tuscany, this would be our place to go back. Thanks Antonio for a memorable stay.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

We spent a week at Villore in June-July and it was a wonderful week. The house is in beautiful condition; hard to believe it's 800 years old given its well kept, modern amenities. The grounds were beautiful; the kids loved the pool. Large kitchen, very comfortable bedrooms, and more than enough space for our family of 6. The location was great; rural, but a quick drive to town, less than 30 minutes to Siena, San Gimignano, Monteriggioni, Chianti wine region. The host, Antonio, was amazing. He really, really takes care of you. You tell him what you are going to do, he tells you how to get there, the best place to park, the best places to see, the best time to see them. Every restaurant he recommended was amazing. He helped arrange wine tasting. He even got us tickets to the Palio dinners. Simply put, he was like a personal concierge, and he made the trip that much more special for our families. I wouldn't return to Tuscany and not stay in one of his apartments.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

Casale di Villore in Poggibonsi, Italy was an absolutely stunning Tuscan villa! Our large apartment there was rustic (I believe it was built in the 12th century) but well appointed with antiques, original paintings as well as modern Italian furnishings. Our apartment had three levels plus a lower fourth level which was a small, stocked wine cellar. It could accomodate 8+ people in our unit, but had we been traveling with a larger group, other apartments would have been available for rent at the villa. Our apartment came equipped with a charming kitchen with carrera marble countertops and sinks, oven, microwave, refrigerator, etc. This enabled us to cook at the villa when we wanted to stay in. There is also a traditional brick oven on the patio outside which was fun for entertaining. The villa had an incredibly beautiful infinity pool which overlooked acres and acres of grapes, olive trees and lavender bushes. There was also a bocce ball court and ping pong table on the property which was a nice feature for our young children. I highly recommend Casale di Villore and hope to return with our family in the future.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 3/3

We have just returned from spending 3 weeks at Casale di Villore, we loved it so much that we have already booked for a week in October and for 3 weeks again next summer! We discovered it while on our previous visit to Castellina in Chianti, as it was recommended by a favourite vineyard of ours, Casa Emma. We booked directly with Antonio who owns the property and the process was extremely efficient. We stayed in the largest apartment, although caters for a large number, we found it excellent for 2 adults and two children as their was plenty of space. The location, between Poggibonsi and Castellina in Chianti is ideal, giving access to a number of major attractions throughout Tuscany. The villa is surrounded by the most beautiful views and sits in stunning gardens surrounded by olive trees and vines, a truly perfect setting. Antonio and his family were fantastic, Antonio was always on hand to suggest places to visit, restaurants to eat at (which were always fantastic) and to answer any questions we had. I couldn't rate the service high enough. We have booked a return visit in October to experience the area and accommodation in a different season and have booked again for another 3 weeks next summer. I highly recommended it!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

My husband and I spent a week at this beautiful location this past September. This property is idyllic. The apartment (Morrelino) was comfortable and clean. The grounds were well-cared for and there were many quiet little spots to sit, relax and just enjoy the awesome view of the hills, vineyards and olive groves. You can see for miles and we had many beautiful sunsets that week! The location was convenient to many of the small villages that we wanted to explore and it was wonderful to return to our apartment at the end of a day of sight-seeing. Antonio was a helpful, knowledgeable host and made a great pizza! One of the highlights of our week was that we were fortunate enough to be able to help with the harvest of grapes the morning before we left! I would highly recommend this property to anyone wanting to spend a week in a beautiful Tuscan location.Owner response: Thank you very much Karen. I really hope to meet you again at Villore ! Antonio

Antonio.

My wife and I stayed here from May 10 to May 17, 2008. Staying here was one of the highlights of our trip. The Morrelino was beyond our expectations. Sitting out on the grass in the evening drinking wine and looking out over the valley and castle was magical, especially if we had a great sunset. Antonio was extremely helpful with our questions and a real pleasure to meet. If you stay here you will understand what this means -Lilla is alot of fun. We will miss her. Thank you so much for our stay there. You won't find a better place to stay in Tuscany.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 3/3
