Il Casale di Villore.
Perched on a hilltop above fields of vineyards and forests of regal cypress trees stands an ancient farmhouse dating to 1200 and built in the ochre stone so indicative of the Tuscan style. Centrally located near the cities of Florence and Siena, Il Casale di Villore and its six newly renovated apartments invite you to live the Tuscan dream in this genteel country setting.
Villore’s apartments have all the comforts of a home away from home: satellite television, telephone and internet connection. A barbeque is also available. Villore can be rented as a villa to accommodate up to 26 guests.
Villore is as lovely outside as it is inside. The vast garden surrounding the property leads to a large swimming pool built at the edge of a hilltop plateau and nearly hidden amongst olive trees. On the hillside below, six hectares of cultivated land make for lazy summer afternoons wandering the vineyards or savoring a ripe fig just picked from the tree. Relaxing at poolside, guests can sip a cool drink while taking in the breathtaking view of the valley and the distant outline of charming medieval villages on the horizon.
Walking and bicycle trails radiate from Il Casale di Villore, making it an ideal location from which to explore the Tuscan countryside. We are able to organize guided excursions for those seeking full immersion in the tradition and natural beauty of the region. Nearby stables are a wonderful option for riding enthusiasts and do-it-yourselfers can rent bicycles directly at Villore.
During the summer months, we’ll fire up our centuries old outdoor wood burning oven, offering guests the opportunity to enjoy delicious handmade pizzas and wine tasting under the stars.
Guests can count on Villore’s staff to assist them with all of their needs, from organizing transport to making restaurant reservations. Masseuse services, meal preparation by a local chef and additional housekeeping are all available upon request.

We stayed at Casale di Villore on a friend's recommendation and we did not regret it. The owner, Antonio, made us feel at home and provided us with usefull informations to make our trip memorable. The location is ideale, between Florence and Siena, the grounds are well maintained and what about the view, breathless. We had the opportunity to really enjoy the villa because everything is so close and can be done in a day trip. Our appartement was very clean and functional for our family of 4. We stayed in the Prugnolo. We would definitely recommend this villa to anyone. If we are to go back to Tuscany, this would be our place to go back. Thanks Antonio for a memorable stay.

We spent a week at Villore in June-July and it was a wonderful week. The house is in beautiful condition; hard to believe it's 800 years old given its well kept, modern amenities. The grounds were beautiful; the kids loved the pool. Large kitchen, very comfortable bedrooms, and more than enough space for our family of 6. The location was great; rural, but a quick drive to town, less than 30 minutes to Siena, San Gimignano, Monteriggioni, Chianti wine region. The host, Antonio, was amazing. He really, really takes care of you. You tell him what you are going to do, he tells you how to get there, the best place to park, the best places to see, the best time to see them. Every restaurant he recommended was amazing. He helped arrange wine tasting. He even got us tickets to the Palio dinners. Simply put, he was like a personal concierge, and he made the trip that much more special for our families. I wouldn't return to Tuscany and not stay in one of his apartments.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

Casale di Villore in Poggibonsi, Italy was an absolutely stunning Tuscan villa! Our large apartment there was rustic (I believe it was built in the 12th century) but well appointed with antiques, original paintings as well as modern Italian furnishings. Our apartment had three levels plus a lower fourth level which was a small, stocked wine cellar. It could accomodate 8+ people in our unit, but had we been traveling with a larger group, other apartments would have been available for rent at the villa. Our apartment came equipped with a charming kitchen with carrera marble countertops and sinks, oven, microwave, refrigerator, etc. This enabled us to cook at the villa when we wanted to stay in. There is also a traditional brick oven on the patio outside which was fun for entertaining. The villa had an incredibly beautiful infinity pool which overlooked acres and acres of grapes, olive trees and lavender bushes. There was also a bocce ball court and ping pong table on the property which was a nice feature for our young children. I highly recommend Casale di Villore and hope to return with our family in the future.

We have just returned from spending 3 weeks at Casale di Villore, we loved it so much that we have already booked for a week in October and for 3 weeks again next summer! We discovered it while on our previous visit to Castellina in Chianti, as it was recommended by a favourite vineyard of ours, Casa Emma. We booked directly with Antonio who owns the property and the process was extremely efficient. We stayed in the largest apartment, although caters for a large number, we found it excellent for 2 adults and two children as their was plenty of space. The location, between Poggibonsi and Castellina in Chianti is ideal, giving access to a number of major attractions throughout Tuscany. The villa is surrounded by the most beautiful views and sits in stunning gardens surrounded by olive trees and vines, a truly perfect setting. Antonio and his family were fantastic, Antonio was always on hand to suggest places to visit, restaurants to eat at (which were always fantastic) and to answer any questions we had. I couldn't rate the service high enough. We have booked a return visit in October to experience the area and accommodation in a different season and have booked again for another 3 weeks next summer. I highly recommended it!

My husband and I spent a week at this beautiful location this past September. This property is idyllic. The apartment (Morrelino) was comfortable and clean. The grounds were well-cared for and there were many quiet little spots to sit, relax and just enjoy the awesome view of the hills, vineyards and olive groves. You can see for miles and we had many beautiful sunsets that week! The location was convenient to many of the small villages that we wanted to explore and it was wonderful to return to our apartment at the end of a day of sight-seeing. Antonio was a helpful, knowledgeable host and made a great pizza! One of the highlights of our week was that we were fortunate enough to be able to help with the harvest of grapes the morning before we left! I would highly recommend this property to anyone wanting to spend a week in a beautiful Tuscan location.
Owner response:Thank you very much Karen. I really hope to meet you again at Villore ! Antonio

Antonio.

My wife and I stayed here from May 10 to May 17, 2008. Staying here was one of the highlights of our trip. The Morrelino was beyond our expectations. Sitting out on the grass in the evening drinking wine and looking out over the valley and castle was magical, especially if we had a great sunset. Antonio was extremely helpful with our questions and a real pleasure to meet. If you stay here you will understand what this means -Lilla is alot of fun. We will miss her. Thank you so much for our stay there. You won't find a better place to stay in Tuscany.
