  I've stayed at this resort 4 times, in 4 different units. We like the resort which is why we stay here but this was by far the worst unit of any of the ones I've stayed in. The unit was clean but that's all I can say positive about it. It needs updating/repair. The front door latch would stick so sometimes it wouldn't lock. You had to fuss with it to make the latch catch. The kitchen was fine for a weekend stay but definitely wouldn't work for a week long rental. The appliances were older, the dishes weren't a complete set and the dishwasher wouldn't latch so it could be run properly. In fact, it would run without latching and leaked water so we had to turn it off and mop up the water. If the owner wants the renters to supply everything, that's fine but it should be listed as such in the rental ad or follow up emails. There was one nearly empty roll of toilet paper and no spares. They had liquid soap at the bathroom sink but it was empty too. The hair dryer only worked on low which took forever. Every other condo I've stayed in had the basics supplied. The owner wanted payment in cash for the stay which I wasn't comfortable with. He met us at the unit to give us keys. Luckily I checked the keys before we left the room the first time since 2 of the 5 he had in the unit didn't work and that happened to be the ones he handed us! And since it was a direct rental from the owner, if we had gotten locked out, the front desk couldn't have helped us. We would have needed to contact the owner and waited for him to come. Not an ideal situation. And to top it off, my required deposit which was paid via paypal, was returned to me via check less a credit card processing fee??? That isn't my expense to bear. I won't recommend this unit/owner to others and we usually visit Daytona twice a year.

  Owner response: I am sorry to hear that this person had a very bad time on her vacation. It seems that there were a series of unfortunate circumstances that led to her poor experience and somehow everything that could possibly go wrong went wrong while she was there. Reading this feedback is the first I have heard about any problems she had while staying in my unit. I am a local resident who manages this property with pride and do whatever I can to make a guests stay as pleasant as possible. Because I am local, guests can contact me easily and I am able to come at a moments notice to address any concerns or problems someone might have. I was never given that opportunity here. In fact, I felt like I had bent over backwards for this guest because I normally don't rent for less than 7 days but I rented to her for only 2 nights at a very discounted rate. But it is difficult to please everyone with everything although I strive to do my best. It may seem weird from the guest perspective to request cash upon arrival but I do not accept any out of state personal checks at the last minute because I have learned from experience that checks can bounce and once the person leaves it is very difficult to ever collect the money. I've been renting this condo for years and have many customers that return year after year. I do my best to keep the place in good repair and up to date. There is a new dishwasher in the unit and the refrigerator was recently replaced as well. As the owner of this unit, I promise I will do everything I can to make your stay comfortable and will address and concerns that come up while you are there. Please take note that I have been renting this unit for almost 10 years now and have had thousands of guests stay in that very same condo. This is the first negative response I have received and consider this just an unfortunate but isolated experience.

  Unit was extremely well priced. It was very well furnished and extremely clean. Location is amazing! Loved everything about it! There was so much to do at the resort itself, and we were waking distance to everything else. It was truly one of the best vacations I've had. My family will definitely be back!

  My family had a great time here. The location of the condo to the elevators was great. The view was spectacular from the roomy balcony. The condo is very clean, and the washer and dryer helped to keep our pool towels clean and dry. I like to cook while vacationing...so the kitchen accessories made this very nice. We enjoyed the hotel activities that were going on during the week, and I won 4 passes to bowling and a free 30 minute jet ski ride at Bingo. I recommend staying here for everyone. Thanks Ron!

  Customer service from owners was excellent! We arrived late evening and were immediately met by someone to let us in, our stay was very nice, and our deposit refunded immediately upon check out. (Have stayed in other vrbos that took forever to get deposit back). We have stayed at this resort many times before, in other units, so we are very familiar with area and the resort, and were not disappointed to find it was pretty much the same as a few years ago when we were here. Condo was clean, comfortable and convenient walking distance to dining and entertainment. We had our turkey dinner, while watching surfers at the Pier restaurant in nearby Flager, and then after dinner drinks at the Ocean Deck, which is within walking distance to condo. Great, relaxing, comfortable time, whether we were hanging at the next door Mai Tai Bar or on the private ocean front condo balcony. Would definitely rent again in the future!   We stayed at Ron's condo the week of 7/31/10 - 8/7/10 and had a wonderful time. The condo is exactly as described with a nice size balcony and direct view of the ocean. The unit was very clean and had all the amenities of home - It was very nice being able to go to the store and buy groceries for the week and not have to eat out three meals a day. Many things to do around the property and food and entertainment were very affordable. We had a car, but you really dont need one as there are plenty of restaurants, bars and shops withing walking distance. The pool was great and huge with a nice lazy river to relax on. It was a very short walk to the nice, clean beach and calm ocean. They really thought of everything at this resort and they dont nickle and dime you like at most places. Thanks again Ron - We are already planning a trip for next year and looking forward to staying in your unit again!

Cancellation policy:

We pride ourselves in providing a place for you to enjoy your vacation that is comfortable and homey, not just a hotel room. Please show respect for the condo and treat is as if it were your own. Check in procedure. Check in is at 4 pm unless other arrangements have been made. Contact Ron at 386-233-5278 for specific instructions. Maximum of 4 people to a studio or 6 people to a one bedroom unit. No pets allowed. No smoking in the room if you choose to brake this rule you forfeit your deposit. You are provided bath towels for your stay and sheets and blankets. Please use them appropriately so that they last your entire stay. If these all become soiled you must launder them yourself. There is a washer/dryer in your unit. It is recommended that you bring your own beach towels as the room is stocked with shower towels only. Please do not take the bath towels to the beach. No loud music or disruptive behavior is allowed. Please show respect to the other tenants in the building. If you have a maintenance issue, you must first call Ron at 386-233-5278. If you fail to do so you will be responsible for any expenses incurred. Do not flush anything down the toilet other than toilet tissue. You will be responsible for repairs as a result of disposing of other items in the toilet. Please dispose of trash in the trash shoots located in the halls. There are extra trash bags provided. You will be provided at least one key. If you lose the key, you will be charged $25 for a replacement. The required security deposit will be held in escrow during your stay at the condo. You will be charged from your security deposit for any missing or damaged items to the unit or if the unit is not reasonably cleaned by check out. In order to avoid charging an additional cleaning fee, we request that you use the provided cleaning supplies and equipment to clean the room, leaving it in fair condition. This includes washing the dishes. We ask that you use the vacuum and mop provided to clean the floors. If the unit is not left in fair conditioh additional fees will be deducted from your deposit.. Check out procedure. Check out is at 10 am unless other arrangements have been made. Contact Ron at 386-233-5278 for specific instructions.
