Upper Weyanoke is a 100 acre private Virginia estate on the banks of the James River and is available to families seeking an exceptional vacation home offering an exclusive retreat in idyllic surroundings. Amenities include a private swimming pool, tennis court, canoeing on the river, and plenty of space to simply enjoy nature. With its proximity to Jamestown, Williamsburg, numerous historic James River Plantations, and Richmond, Upper Weyanoke is also an ideal location for anyone interested in early American history and the Civil War. Upper Weyanoke is on the National Register of Historic Places.
There are many opportunities to explore and enjoy non-historic activities as well. Water Country USA, and Busch Gardens are nearby and make excellent day trips with the children. In season, Colonial Downs provides a great time for horse racing fans, and there are several nearby golf courses. There are restaurants close by and antique shopping in Williamsburg.
Upper Weyanoke is available for rentals from May through late Oct. There are no weekend or partial week rentals during the summer. We rent in the Spring and Fall season at a reduced rate. We will only consider partial weeks during the Spring and Fall season and rates are negotiated based on number of persons and length of stay. We periodically rent during Holidays so check with us if interested.
