Exquisitely handcrafted as a Victorian era cottage with extensive detailing, it is located on a wide stretch of white sandy beach (rare for the Santa Barbara area) in Carpinteria, California. *It is available for the 1st 2 weeks of June as well as monthly July and August, or for the full year. This home was featured in Coastal Living July/August 2003 and is one of the few ideal and rare locations in the Santa Barbara area that you can walk directly out onto beach sand and also easily walk to restaurants, shops, and the farmers market! Locals often describe this home as "the nicest house on the entire beach". While this beach is fun and festive in the summer you will find it quiet and peaceful during the other seasons. Of course, Thanksgiving and Christmas bring some holiday visitors and families.... Wake to watch the dolphins swim by while dining in the bay window, then play in the surf or kayak in the ocean. Walk down the beach to explore the tide pools and look for shells and starfish. Meander over to the estuary and look for cranes and heron. (And if you forget your surfboard you can rent one close by.) Tired? Take a nap in the hammock. Enjoy quiet evenings, meals and conversations or a good book on one of the two furnished,private decks above the sand on the 'World's Safest Beach'. Watch the spectacular sunsets or enjoy your view of the islands and the Santa Barbara coastline. You will have the extraordinary opportunity to live and vacation in beauty, comfort, luxury and style. You can leave your cares behind and your car parked, as you walk downtown to shop for antiques, surf gear, art and clothing. Visit the weekly farmers market for fresh local flowers and produce.
