(Former Ocean Lakes owners ourselves...using this knowledge as our perspective).....This property provides the basics needed for a week at the beach. We found it to be "functional"...and would not be able to describe it as "nice". The VRBO photos probably give a nicer impression than reality. We felt as though the summer time rate we paid was $200-$300 more than the actual quality level we received. Examples that prevent a description of "Nice": Kitchen floor has holes punched in it....Cigarette butts badly littered the grounds when we arrived....Deck is very aged, and cracking, even had one child get splinters from it....Washing machine usage makes passage down the narrow hallway just about impossible....Deck is not really a "deck" - It is more or less a "wrap around" extra wide walkway with little shaded relief from the sun......Communication with the owner was rather spotty. Sometimes they responded quickly and sometimes they did not. On the positive side: The AC worked fairly well....The refrigerator was cold....The roof did not leak....The corner location works well if you like to sit and watch people go by Would recommend: General cosmetic upgrades and refurbishing....or.....perhaps allow people usage of an on-site golf cart. Either of these would allow people to feel like they received good value for their money. OVERALL....Functional and Average Vacation House
