The White Mountain Lodge, the first homestead in Greer, was built in 1892 as a pioneer family home. Today this historic Lodge had been remodeled into luxury suites in the main lodge offering a cool summer getaway amongst the pines, aspens, lakes and rivers. In the winter and early spring skiers enjoy the warmth and coziness of mountain lodging just minutes from Sunrise Ski Resort.
The White Mountain Lodge is bound by highway 373 on the north and national forest on the south overlooking the breathtaking Amberian Flat Meadow and the Little Colorado River. The Lodge affords guests spectacular natural scenery, fishing, hiking and boundless wildlife at its back door. Maps are available showing the locations of lakes, streams, hiking and biking trails as well as day trips.
Luxury Suites in the Lodge provide guests with the opportunity to stay in Greer's first homestead. Each 1 or 2 bedroom remodeled suite is available for rent separately or collectively. Each one has its own private entrance and is equipped with full kitchen or kitchenette. Large bathrooms also have one or two person whirlpool tubs.
All suites in the Main Lodge provide guests with spectacular views of the Greer Valley Meadow, Little Colorado River or Aspen Grove. Common amenities include Satellite TV with DVD/VCR, phone, fireplaces, coffeemaker, dishes, microwave, toaster, guest laundry facilities and BBQ areas.
Large Groups, Family Reunions, Corporate and Church Retreats are also welcome at The White Mountain Lodge. With a total of 5 bedrooms/suites, 11 beds, 8 baths, 4 kitchens/kitchenettes and 4 fireplaces you can plan and reserve just the space you need, up to 22.(Floor plans are available upon request.)
Over 5,000 square feet of lodging includes the entrance lobby, living room, game room, dining room, solarium, and full kitchen and allows for many activities at one time. Covered porches in front and back provide ample outdoor gathering areas. The back yard has a large grass area that is adjacent to a beaver pond on the Little Colorado River.
