  My family just returned from a delightful 6 day stay with frequent visits to Healdsburg, vineyards, and local parks. The pictures for the web site don't capture the spaciousness of the home, its beautiful setting, and how well if functions for a large family. The owners are easy and responsive. Lovely time, all things considered.

  Our family stayed in this spacious and bright home tucked off Chalk Hill Road right among Sonoma counties finest grapes. The spacious home, kitchen and outdoor features suited my family with 3 kids very well. With decks that overlooked the valley, an invigorating hot tub/spa to soak in among the oaks and an ideal location, this was a property was delightful. The owner was easy to work with and accommodating. We have stayed at other VRBO's and for our standards was immaculate. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend or stay again!

  After reading the last review, we were concerned about cleanliness, but the owners assured us the house would meet our expectations, and it sure did. We found the house to be very clean and odor free. The carpet appeared to have been shampooed very recently and everything else was to our satisfaction or rather, to our delight. The house was really open and spacious and provided ample comfortable lounging areas inside and out and privacy for all of us.......our two kids and another adult couple that was vacationing with us. One of the great features about this property, was the self contained downstairs suite with it's own kitchen, bathroom and deck, which provided a great deal of privacy for our friends. All rooms have TV's and there are two BBQ grills and a yummy hot tub.....aah! The house is conveniently located for drives along beautiful country roads for visits to surrounding towns and wineries. The decks get a lot of sun and the nights were super quiet. I haven't slept in such quiet for years. The cats were not as issue and (actually were sweet and cuddly) as we provided egress to the kitchen area per owner's instructions. The house, almost rather a country villa, is not only a beautiful gem but is also a great value. We all had a very special visit to the wine country....and staying in this house surely enhanced our stay.

  I arranged for this rental for six adults visiting Sonoma wine country. The description on VRBO was thorough and the reviews were positive. After many experiences with VRBO rentals, this was the absolute worst. First the positives: The house and property were well located for visiting the local wineries and Healdsburg. The property is lovely and very private. The house was large enough to comfortably accommodate our group. Now the negatives: The house was filthy. The first thing you experienced upon entering the house was the overwhelming smell of pet urine. Unacceptable! The owner had advised of one cat that would come in to eat and then go back out. There were actually two cats that cried at night, clawed at all doors inside and out. The carpet was dirty and stained. The kitchen was nicely laid out but every dish, glass and utensil had to be washed before using. The cabinet and drawer pulls were grimy. There were sugar ants on the counters. Because of our group size and the time of arrival, we did not have an option to find other lodging and we had already paid for this rental in full. We made the best of a bad situation with the aid of Febreze, air freshener, candles and a cold house due to open windows. How will VRBO make this right?

  Owner response: We are sorry to hear of your experience, we have 2 housecleaners that come in hours before your arrival and spend 4-5 hours preparing, dusting, vacuuming,cleaning kitchen, changing bedsheets, making sure that the house is immaculate before your arrival.With that said, yes, we explained that we do have cats, and 1 newer cat, and he perhaps was scared due to the first time of no one familiar being here. The house is located in the country and we are on well water, which unfortunately leaves stains on toilets, bathtubs, and some utensils, and it appears is if its dirty, however, its not, its the buildup of minerals, but not dirty or harmful in any way. We have our carpets cleaned every 3 months, due to the rainy season just finishing here, we will clean our carpets now here in springtime. Again, we are very sorry to hear of your experience and hope you enjoyed our wine country.

  I felt everything lived up to its description. It's a really calm and quiet place to rent. It's a really nice area to stay and just hangout and enjoy the private land and enjoy the trees and sunshine. The hot tub is also a huge plus. The only downfall and I don't think it was listed at all was the fact that you cant use toilet paper and flush it down the toilet. Since they are on septic you have to throw the toilet paper into plastic bags and throw away outside in the trash. I thought that was very hard to deal with especially since I have friends and family I have talk to since then and told them about that and they are on septic as well and don't have issues like that. Other than that I give the house a 4out of 5 rating. In all honesty, this house is really amazing and I would book again in the future. They also have cats that you have to let in for food but the cats are super friendly.

  This rental property lived up to our expectations and the owner's description. Very quiet, but conveniently located for day trips to wineries, etc. Very comfortable, clean, and great for outdoor dinning, BBQ, hot tubbing, etc. We highly recommend.

  This home has everything you'll need to enjoy your vacation! It's centrally located, but home is situated far enough from neighbors that you can enjoy sitting in jacuzzi secluded. Owners are extremely hospitable. We would highly recommend this house for your next vacation.

  I would highly recommend this rental to two couples or a couple with young children. It was clean and the location was very convenient for wine-tasting in Sonoma or northern Napa. The deck was great for sitting around, eating dinners and drinking wine. The owners were very helpful in recommending restaurants and specific events occurring in the area.
