Night time in the master bath -- two person jetted soaking tub & lighted forest
Location: Yachats, Central Coast, Oregon, USA (Central on coast- 30 minutes below Newport, 25 to Florence)
Accommodations: Luxury Home & Secluded Retreat, 4 Bedrooms + Loft, 4 Baths (Sleeps 11-12)
We are happy to share The Haven with couples seeking a honeymoon or reunion enclosure, or families simply seeking a secluded setting near the beach for memorable time together. We have been blessed to be able to acquire this home with a special blend of forest solitude, an ocean beach view, and close access to the beach without the pressure of public exposure that is coupled with a property immediately on the sand.
As soon as most couples enter the master suite they want to stay and enjoy long recurrent encounters with the forest outside the bath area that holds a rare sense of immediacy (try lighting the forest at night and sitting in a candlelit tub), or sit perched on the reading nook at the other end of the bedroom watching the waves and sunset. We have enclosed the surround sound 36" TV with cable, DVD VCR in a full armoire to avoid its intrusion into the rest of the space unless wanted.
The other four sleeping areas each have a special offering as the theme for the room in addition to the ocean view. The library and board game area opens to the ocean, as does a high perched sleep loft with a desk; and the media center holds a 55" High resolution TV, a convertible couch, and separate door to the forest; no ocean view in the last, a double forest exposure room with separate bath.

- Yachats is a quiet village which has proudly created and developed a unique walking and biking path along two miles of coastline. The starting point for the 804 trail is in a state park at the north side of the river entry. Dozens of small coarse sand and rock beaches are at the high tide level with remarkable spouting horns and amazing wave action in the rock ledges. The north side park is a pleasant walk or drive from the The Haven, past "the center of town" with restaurants, shops, delicatessens and coffee houses. Two and a half blocks down Spruce Ave and Lola St, at the foot of the hill, is the highway bridge over the river and the entrance to Yachats Ocean Park on the south side of the river entrance which allows stair access to a 1/4 mile diameter tidal sand beach. The sand beach at the south river bank has space for running kids with kites and border collies. Meal supplies are available four blocks away; or the family food preparer can relax with five restaurants close by.

We appreciate the Vuksich Family's response and look forward to their next planned visit this Spring, and many more. John & Linda

Homeowner Response:
The Stellmon crew were one of two families coming from Utah -- one other was one of our six Honeymoon Couples this summer. The opportunity to share the The Haven and Seventh Haven is made special by families like theirs. We read and enjoy the comments in the "real Guestbook" in the home and these on line as rewards for the service option of hosting through VRBO.

Carrie Peterson , Buhl, Idaho
Homeowner Response:
Idaho families have apparently discovered the central Oregon Coast. The Peterson's were one of three families from that state. Nice people--hope they return. Linda and I agree that the hill is a challenge -- try pulling the garbage cans up!! As a result we have obtained electric (silently running) 4-wheel ATV's for three purposes. #1 Pulling garbage cans--practical but prosaic. #2 Taking in the Oregon dunes and beaches on very fun non-polluting quiet riding devices. #3 Taking the back road through old growth forest to Cape Perpetua -- a must adventure for the most ready. These are available for parallel discount rental when staying at The Haven or Seventh Haven
Positive Rating
Justin , Salt Lake City
Homeowner Response:
Justin and his wife were wonderful guests. Linda and I hope that they and other young (or old) honeymooners take advantage of the Oregon Coast every anniversary.
