My wife and I spent a relaxing weekend at the cabin. Everything about the stay exceeded expectations. The cabin itself is exactly as advertised – clean, quiet, comfortable and with a great lake view from the deck. We enjoyed hiking the property, fishing from the dock, watching the birds from the cabin deck and our day trips to Eureka Springs and Crystal Bridges museum. The owner was a great host and very easy to deal with on the rental. I highly recommend staying here.

A relaxing get away in the woods , several things to mention , mattress extremely uncomfortable.new mattress a must woke up with severe back ache each morning. This cabin is really for two people , perhaps a small child over 5 and under 12.There is only one peice of furniture to relax and read from and that is the rocker shown in the pictures above. The sleeper couch is worn out and cushions are not comfortable as to sit and read or even watch a movie on the tiny out dated tv.We watched movies on our laptop. If your staying during winter months be careful hiking and know where the bounderies are of property as hunters are hiking through the woods as well. The shower stall frame is low so you must be careful if your height is over 5'9 In closing you must be patient when waiting for hot water heater to turn on , sometimes you have to turn off hot water faucet a couple times before it is activated. Tried several times to reach owner by phone to address some concerns and was unable to get contact while at the cabin..

Owner response: I am sorry these guests were unhappy...the mattresses were on the list to be replaced after the first of the year(which now has been done) and a furniture/TV upgrade has been done. A tankless water heater was not the best option for the cabin as thought, so a more traditional means has being implemented. I was not aware of the hunters; there should not be any, as hunting is not allowed on this property or on the adjacent properites. Little Cabin in the Woods is for guests who enjoy being away from the everyday "tech noise" in their lives who want to relax and enjoy nature, the lake, and the one they're with while they are at the cabin. Eureka Springs is close and will give guests their "tech" boost when they are having withdrawals while they dine and shop. We ( the owners) are close enough to be just a door-knock away or phone call (depending on reception of the cell phone provider) and do try to attend to our guests' needs the best we can when they need it without interfering with their privacy.

My husband & I stayed here for our anniversary, it was perfect! This cabin is exactly as described & pictured, it was a wonderful weekend away. We enjoyed the fabulous dock, fishing, walking the shore & trails. Very peaceful & relaxing. We also enjoyed how close Eureka Springs is to the cabin, with all the lovely shops & restaurants. Saw several deer on our last morning there and the hummingbirds are amazing. Simply a perfect place to stay, the hosts are wonderful & make sure you have what you need. We are definitely planning on staying here again!

My husband and I celebrated our one year wedding anniversary at the "Little Cabin in the Woods". It far exceeded our expectations. The owner was extremely pleasant and very professional in conducting business. Everything was exactly as described on the website. If you enjoy a get-away that is very secluded, and "away from it all", the Little Cabin in the Woods in the place to go! We already miss it, and just left there a week ago today!! We will, without a doubt, return in the near future, and hopefully can return year after year to celebrate our future anniversaries.

We loved this cabin! It is very remote and you will definitely need their directions. Don't try too find it in the dark! Perfect for 2 people. Bed pretty comfy. It does have a jacuzzi tub, but we did not use it. It does have a shower too. We brought a hot plate and cooked on the back porch. There is a kitchenette in the cabin, but nothing smells better than breakfast outside. Stop at the grocery store before you get there. No Tv stations, but lots of d dvd's. Great dock and we fished there and in the white river with a guide (Gene and Ryan Chapman) We caught a limit of trout and ccoked them on the grill at the cabin. Our favorite restaurant was Local Flavor- little pricey but food was fabulous. I recommend the pork tenderloin. I assure you we will make a return visit to the cabin in the future. If you want to getaway from it all stay at this cabin it is wonderful!

Owner response: GPS is good to use for locating the cabin...but, written directions sent with guest's reservation confirmation is well-detailed and will get you to the cabin day or night...

We had an amazing time! We woke up in the morning to snow. It had snowed during the night, but not a whole lot. It was so serene and beautiful. The whirlpool tub was so relaxing and it was so cozy cuddling in front of the fire. This was definitely worth our time. The lake was very quiet and peaceful. We loved watching the birds on the back porch. It felt very private and the owner was so nice too. We would love to come back here again! Thank you!

The description of this property was perfect. The cabin has enough room for 4. But is truly perfect for two. There is a well equipped kitchen. It is not very big so planning simple meals is a good idea. We went to the store in Eureka Springs and grabbed food for a few days. There is a grill and grilling outdoors is as relaxing as sitting on the back deck. We did eat at "The Horizon" restaurant on Mundell Road. We chose to eat outside on their deck and the view was perfect - as well as the food and service!!! We came and went as we pleased, and while the owners live basically around the drive, we never felt like we were in the same location. The way the little cabin is set up, you never really cross paths, lending to the private feel to it all. There is a beautiful dock with a swimming pad that provides hours of scenery while fishing or relaxing and watching the many birds come through. The hummingbirds are a real joy to watch as well as the deer that love to come out every day around 3:30 to drink from the lake. Lovely walking paths are located throughout the property. If you are taking a boat, READ THE DIRECTIONS THEY SEND - and leave the boat at the top of the hill before heading into the private drive, there is a little flat place that you can do that. We say that because we didn't read the last line or two and it is very tricky to maneauver even a small boat all the way to the cabin and back out! We are grateful we took our boat, it gave us the flexibility to see the lake as we wanted at any time of day without the worry or cost of renting. Their dock is super nice too! Only cons that we found, were that we really didn't have a place to hang clothes in the cabin - could have used the loft for the suitcases, but didn't want to dirty a space unnecessarily. Other item that would have been helpful would be a sign on the dock that indicated it belonged to that cabin. The first time or two that you pull in with a boat is intimidating if you aren't sure that it is the right dock. Otherwise there was absolutely NOTHING that we would change about this beautiful little place! There is a well stocked movie supply if you wish to watch movies plus a stereo, magazines and books. So very relaxing!!!! My husband and I have been married 24 years and it was such a nice and peaceful place to reconnect! You definitely will not go wrong here!!!! Happy travels! We can't wait to go back!

My wife and I recently spent 3 days at the Little Cabin in the Woods and it was wonderful. The cabin is exactly as advertised, the location is wonderful, and the owner goes the extra mile to make sure your experience is a great one. Although Eureka Springs is just a short trip from the cabin, the peace and quiet of the location is wonderful, we saw several deer around the cabin in the mornings, as well as birds and the occasional raccoon. There is a large deck on the lake, and the view of the night sky is awe inspiring. I would definitely recommend this property and we will certainly return in the future.

No dissapointments here, the cabin is exactly as pictured. The property is blooming with wildlife, deer, humming birds, woodpeckers, and if you are lucky maybe you will catch a glimpse of a racoon we named Bandit. With the dock access, jucuzzi 2 person tub, and total seclusion, it is the bargin of the century, for those of us needing a romantic getaway. The owners are friendly and professional. The little personal touches they do really makes it a getaway to remember. We have been 2 years in a row, and will be making it 3 soon. With Eureka and the lake the activites are endless. Took my boat 1 yr and rented harley this year. The only way to see Eureka is on a Harley. Can't wait to go back to THE LITTLE CABIN IN THE WOODS!!!!!!

We stayed at "Little Cabin in the Woods" for 8 nights. We fished from the dock and from our canoe. My husband caught about a 5 pound bass right in the cove . I was able to practice my fly fishing skills. We were there in the spring so the lake was very quiet. The cabin is beautifully decorated. Although the kitchen is not large we were able to prepare meals easily. We are not big TV watchers but the owners have a nice selection of DVDs. We also loved the wildlife: we saw deer, bats, and even heard bob cats on a few nights. The pier/dock was absolutely wonderful. We had a few family members come visit us and they were also totally impressed with the solitude. On one rainy day, we went to historic Eureka Springs. What a wonderful little town. We took a 3 hour walk and saw many fine victorian homes. Do know that the little cabin is decorated with antiques including doors, toilets, and sink from Eureka Springs. I highly recommend this cabin to honeymooners, people seeking solitude, or people who like to be outside and on a lake. The video taken of the cabin and shown with this listing is very accurate. The cabin, the dock and the surroundings were very clean and well maintained. The owners were very helpful in our reservation process and quietly available during our stay. They were very respectful of our privacy. We plan to return and spend more time at the "Little Cabin in the Woods".

My husband and I spent a long weekend in the summer of 2007. We still think back to how incredible it was. We have since relocated to the west coast and so going back isn't an option, but it was -without a doubt- the best trip we've taken together (besides our Hawaiian honeymoon, but that doesn't count). The location was perfect, the cabin was cozy, clean, etc. I have a feeling that we'll talk about that trip for many more years to come.
