The garden is professionally landscaped for convenience and privacy. There's off-street parking plus ample street parking. Walk to shops and services nearby, take the Metro bus a block away, or cruise the Burke-Gilman bike and walking trail that stretches for 25 miles. Children's Hospital is within walking distance and the University of Washington and UW Medical Center are a 15 minute bike ride away on the Burke-Gilman trail. Shop at the University Village mall, where you'll find all the upscale stores. Magnusson Park sports fields, walking trails, tennis courts and swimming beaches are a 10 minute bike ride away (1.5 miles). Watch birds and boats along the trails of the UW Botanic Gardens, or rent a canoe to explore Portage Bay. A choice of excellent natural food markets are in the neighborhood.
