The Skimmer is the perfect accommodation for a fabulous beach vacation! Located at the exclusive north end of Anna Maria Island on Florida's Gulf Coast (just 60 yards from the beach), the Skimmer is one of four charming units at The Blue Dolphin Inn. It is the downstairs unit in the Alamanda house, which is one of the two houses that make up our tropical hideaway. Nestled in the middle is our heated pool, surrounded by beautiful, lush landscaping, lounge chairs, poolside table with chairs & umbrella, and tiki bar.
The Skimmer is one of our smaller units, but very roomy with 1100 square feet. It has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, plus a queen sleeper sofa in the living room. The decor is lovely and tropical and the unit is very clean and comfortable! The Skimmer has a full-size, fully equipped kitchen, full-size washer and dryer, wireless internet access, its own gas grill, and all the comforts of home. You'll find everything you need and many extras: linens, beach towels and beach chairs, beach umbrellas, sand toys and more.
Our property is in an ideal location, in a quiet residential neighborhood, with very little traffic. We're just a short, one-block stroll (about 60 yards) down a little path to the sugar-sand beach and clear blue waters of the gulf at Bean Point at the exclusive northern end of the island. There is no public parking nearby, so the beach is a bit more secluded as well. Our grounds are lush and tropical, with wandering paths and beautiful outdoor living areas for each unit. Each of our four units is adorable, very clean, beautifully decorated, and fully equipped.
With so many beautiful places to gather throughout the property and around the pool, the Blue Dolphin Inn is also the perfect place for your family reunion, large group of friends, or wedding party. Consider reserving the Skimmer along with our other three units and receive a 5% discount.
Nearby, the quaint Rod and Reel Pier, featuring fishing and informal dining on the bay (truly delicious!!), is within walking distance (just three blocks away) and thirty years into the past. Sarasota, Tampa, and Orlando are short drives away, if you can bring yourself to leave the island.
