My husband and I along with a family friend traveled to Key West the first week of May, 2011. We had researched a number of properties in our planning and identified the Hemingway Hideaway in our top 3. The owner was very selective in his interview and this provided us some insight into his attention for this special property. The house was everything we had hoped - plus more! The location is perfect - just a couple blocks off of Duval and closer to the quiet end. The house itself was very well updated and maintained and provided a welcome respite in the middle of the day when we retreated from the heat and utilized the patio and dip pool. We greatly enjoyed the short walk to the Blue Heaven, Columbia Grace and the Vino wine bar. The off street parking - very rare in Key West! - provided a shaded and secure area for our scooters. We greatly enjoyed our stay in Key West and the Hemingway Hideaway and look forward to future visits!Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

I just got back from staying at the Hemingway Hideway with my husband we had a great week .The House was clean ,quiet, we felt right at home.I would definately recamend the house for your private getaway.I'm sad it had to end I would love to go back The owner was a pleasure to work with. Thanks Kathy & Mike.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, people with disabilities.

I loved my time at the house. It is charming and well-appointed, and quiet. The neighbors are very friendly--even the roosters! It is close to upper Duval Street (the quiet end) and the addition of the pool will make it a must stay at property in Old Key West. Well done!Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

Rented the property for the month of October 08. This is a great house in a great location. Easy to get to South Beach just a few blocks away or to Ft. Zachery Park by bike. Only a 5 to 10 minute walk to all of the nightlife on Duval St. House is very comfortable, clean and well maintained. If you are looking for a month of R and R in Key West this house would be a great place to do it.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, tourists without a car.
