I wanted to thank you for allowing me to create a memorable holiday vacation with my family in your home. Everyone was very pleased with all the amenities and the extra touches that made all the difference. We quickly got into the swing of the house and the beautiful surroundings. Even the resident iguanas were charming. Sebastian and Marie were great too. They attended to our requests in a timely manner. We didn't get to take advantage of all 4 dinners but we did get to sample Marie's culinary talents. Yummy- loved her Chile rellenos. We had a great time getting to know the immediate surrounds. Akumal is wonderful place for a vacation. Having my brother as tour guide certainly made it easy to get around and see the sites and to meet some of the local folks as well. He has made several friends over the years. We went cavern snorkling and snorkled at Akumal beach where we saw a couple of turtles - definitely a highlight for me. We fed the kudas and got to know the local merchants. (Even the chicken lady in the pueblo). We'll be back at some point... Have a happy new year, and again, thank you for opening your home to us. Your home was ideal for our group. Cheers.

Just wanted to let you know how much we loved Nicte-Ha! Our (adult) children were thrilled & so impressed with everything! The house was so well appointed, we lacked nothing to feel at home. Mari & Sebastin were so sweet & helpful. Mari cooked dinner for us & it was delicious!! Our children are now hooked on Akumal also! Can't wait to revisit. Thank you for Sharing this lovely Casa!

Marcia, we had a wonderful time. House was beautiful, the staff were very nice, the meals were excellent, and the pool was terrific. I really hope that I can swing six couples to rent Nicte Ha and Casa del Mar for next year. I will let you know. I will try to send you some pictures. The big Iguana is nearly tame. I could not get him to take a piece of banana out of my hand but was very close. By the way he answers to the name Olaf !!ha!. Thanks again.

I've been to Akumal many times, but this was my first stay at Nicta-Ha. My family came from all over the US and we rented both Nicta-Ha and Casa Del Mar - it was a perfect arrangement. We were close, yet separate. The location is walking distance to town/beaches/restaurants so everyone could get around and we didn't need multiple cars. The villa was large and gave us together space and alone space. It was nicely furnished and well cared for. I liked the backyard with the gorgeous pool overlooking the rocky coast and Ocean - made for quiet sunbathing and interesting excursions over the rocks.

Everything went perfectly on our vacation and we thoroughly enjoyed Nicte Ha once again. Our friends fell in love with Akumal – as we knew they would! Mari and Sebastian, the staff were both wonderful. Mari cooked my birthday dinner for us and it was absolutely delicious!!!! Seriously. Her stuffed peppers were to die for!!! . Our friends commented that they have never been on vacation somewhere and felt so much at home. I think that’s a huge compliment. Great trip! Thanks so much for everything. We will be back!

The property was in excellent condition, the staff went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We were traveling with our friends and their daughter and the property has great separation of space, upstairs there were 2 suites, lots of privacy. My favorite amenity were the 2 hammocks under the palapa between the pool and the ocean. We went looking for shells each morning on the rocks along the water. The main beach is less than a 10 minute walk, and another beach is about 5 minutes up the road towards the lagoon. Yal-Ku lagoon is a 10 minute walk to great snorkeling, Playa Del Carmen is about 25 minutes away if you want night-life and lots of shopping. Tulum is about 20 minutes away and worth the drive. I have been to Akumal before and will be back, this is a great house for a large family or a group of friends.

Our trip to Akumal was one of our best vacations ever and returning to this house every day was a return to paradise. Being able to sit under the palapa and enjoy the tropical breezes while watching the surf roll in was my favorite part of our week. The description is accurate and the house only improves when you get see it for yourself. Loved the artistic touches and simplicity of design. Staff was excellent, hard working, accomodating and the delicious Yucatan meal prepared by the cook was wonderful. Our bedroom air-conditioner was not functioning and the crew was in before the end of the day with a new one. The property owner, provided quick responses to any of our e-mail questions while on the trip (bringing a laptop is the best way to communicate with the wireless connection available on site). Loved snorkeling in Akumal Bay, Yal-Ku Lagoon, Muyil Adventure tour with Pastor through Sian Ka'an Community Tours, Aktun Chen Cave, Tulum Ruins, town and beach, evening shopping and dinner at Yaxche in Playa del Carmen. Enjoyed the short 8-minute walk to Akumal or Half Moon Bay. Turtle Bay Cafe in Akumal was consistently delicious for every meal. Sam's Club and the Supermarket in Playa del Carmen were great for groceries -- terrific fresh fruits and veggies at the supermarket there (watermelon and papaya were the best!). El Pueblito in Akumal has the best deal on ATM withdrawls. If you must go into Cancun, watch your driving, we were stopped by the Polizia almost immediately on arrival.
