The home is located on Lake Keowee in South Carolina off Highway 188 on Maughan Trail, approximately six miles from the town of Seneca and only 16 miles from Clemson University.
This beautiful 6,000 square-foot lakefront home was built and decorated by our family matriarch with the goal of having a vacation home large enough for her six children and fourteen grandchildren to enjoy together. All of the bedrooms are very spacious and beautifully decorated.
The gourmet kitchen was built for a CHEF, including a nine foot island with a prep-sink, double oven, a five burner gas cook top, and a pasta faucet. The dining room has 2 large circular tables. Each table has a lazy Susan and can seet 8 to 10, plus there is counter seating for four. There is a small wet bar. The spacious deck has two picnic tables for enjoying lunch outdoors in wet bathing suits.
A fixed, covered wooden dock with attached gazebo overlooking the lake and three undeveloped islands, offering peaceful serenity. In addition to a swing, the dock has a water hose and power is available. The 18,000 acres of water and a 300-mile shoreline make Lake Keowee a popular place for boating, fishing, water-skiing, swimming, camping and picnicing. There is a public boat ramp a few minutes away, so you are welcome to bring your boat and leave it at our dock. The house also has two kayaks to explore the pristine lake with all of its natural beauty.
The backyard has a level playing area with room for volleyball, three-legged races and other activities for the children. Large hammock for watching the late night stars. Below the level playing area, the backyard gently slopes down to the lake. The driveway has ample space for eight cars. Downstairs has a children’s playroom filled with toys and a separate family room so the adults can enjoy the peaceful upstairs living room. There is a separate card room for the adults. Wireless internet access is available, so bring your lap top to stay connected.

What an amazing time we had here. All of the adults (18 ranging in age from 18-53) have made many comments about how awesome this vacation was. From boating to swimming to playing volleyball and the many other activities we did the fun was never ending. The kids (7 ranging in age from 1 month-8) really enjoyed the play room and the secret room as well as the lake and outdoor fun. From a family who enjoys the water and usually spends our family vacation on the ocean somewhere this one ranks at the top for most if not all. We even talked about how we wouldn't mind returning for another one sometime in the future. This is the perfect spot for a small ( 25-30) family reunion/vacation. The house is spacious enough that you aren't walking over each other and can have your own space when needed. The lake is absolutely by far the best. The water is clear and pristine and while we were there very quiet. Which made it that much more enjoyable. It was like we had it all to ourselves. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a place where 25-30 people could be under one roof yet not under anyones foot.

We had our wedding here in April 2011 and it was perfect. We got so many compliments on the property for the service. The property owners and managers went above and beyond to help us with anything we needed for the house. We give it an A++++++!!! We hope to come back for our anniversary next April because we loved the property so much. Thanks again y'all!!!

This is the best house I have ever rented. Camp Stickbone, as we call ourselves, is a family/friend reunion of 24 adults and kids and this was our best time ever. There is plenty of room to spread around and feel like you have space to spare. The house is immaculate with all the tools you need to feel like you're at home. The play room downstairs is right out of a Pottery Barn Catalog and is adjacent to another huge TV room that all the kids realaxed in after a long day in the water. The grounds are perfect, from the volleyball court to the beach with kayaks waiting for you. The kids loved jumping off the dock and playing in the secluded waters of the cove, allowing the parents to know the kids were safe at all times. There is not a lot of boat traffic and we were there the 4th of July week! I can not say enough goods things about this place. We thoroughly enjoyed some sightseeing and hiking in the area but it was hard to leave this beatuiful house for too long. If there is a better place than the Maloney House for a family vacation I don't believe it to be true. Camp Stickbone will return in two years!!! Can't Wait!

I found The Maloney House by simply searching for rental property on Lake Keowee, and I'm thrilled I found it! It was the perfect place for our brand new women's conference. As a matter of fact, we're planning on coming back for two more conferences this year! It was everything it advertised...and more. Spacious and comfortable, and well-appointed. The entire house was spotless, the decor was lovely, and the kitchen had everything you can imagine. The property manager was kind and helpful, even to the point of sharing her own personal cell number for questions or concerns. I highly recommend The Maloney House and can't wait to return later this year!

Our family (all 30 of us) gets together each Christmas (or shortly thereafter). Each year we have found ourselves looking for a home that works for families with young children, families with teenagers and folks in their late 60's to early 70's. It's tough to find a place that is truly accommodating for all, but this last Christmas we finally did it! The Maloney Lake House was large enough to allow us to have family meals (cooked in a spectacular kitchen) together rather than eating in shifts AND to allow the kids (or adults) to find a quiet corner for games or reading. The backyard (before it rained) was great for football with the younger kids. The nearby area provided a nice opportunity for hiking and a visit to the World of Energy. Everyone was comfortable in this home and I often heard comments that "they thought of everything". How true! Whenever I looked for anything ...ANYTHING... I found it, right where it made sense to have it. The family that owns this home has put a lot of thought into making it as comfortable and welcoming as possible and far exceeded our expectations of what a vacation rental could be. The whole process has been a pleasure. I cannot recommend it highly enough. We look forward to our return visit.

We are a group of Clemson graduates who graduated between the years of 2002 and 2008. We decided to have our yearly reunion at the house and it proved to be perfect. There were 20 of us staying at the property and we had more than enough room to keep everyone more than happy (that is without even utilizing the apartment above the garage). The house has plenty of room for social activities and more than enough out and about the property. There is a fire pit down by the beach that proves perfect for a night sitting around the fire swapping stories of the past and present. Realistically the house is around 25 minutes from Clemson with traffic in Seneca; no traffic it takes about 20 minutes. We have stayed at other houses throughout the Clemson/Seneca/Six MIle/Anderson area and this one has not only proved to be the nicest, but has proved to be a GREAT deal. Check in was easy and checkout even easier. We were met on our arrival Wednesday and given the walk around. She was VERY pleasant and very helpful in pointing out the ins and outs of the house (as it is HUGE). For check out we just stripped the beds, took the trash out and ensured we left everything like we found it. I would highly recommend this property for anyone with groups between 14-28 people. Rest assured we will use it again next year. A true can't miss! GO TIGERS!

Superb location, awesome house, beautifully appointed, exceptionally organized & wonderfully managed. Our stay could not have been better. This was our second long weekend at the Maloney Lake House. The house was perfect for 12 fellows on a golf vacation. We look forward to returning.

We had a great weekend on Lake Keowee, and the owners were great to work with. Plenty of room for everyone, including several living areas to give the kids some privacy :) Everything was clean and the property was just as descriptions/photos represented. Packing will be even lighter next time, as the house had everything we needed, floats, beach towels, life jackets and more. The boat was great too, our kids loved tubing and learning to ski. Thaks again, looking forward to our next stay.

What a fabulous family reunion we had at your beautiful lake house! 23 family members from near and far enjoyed such a wonderful time together! We reminisced about old memories and made some new ones! We even traveled across the cove and had an old fashioned clambake on the beach! Thanks for sharing your lovely home with us!

We used your spectacular house for our family's reunion to celebrate our mom's 90th birthday. We had 30 people attend, some from as far away as Seattle, WA. The facility was first class and our crowd had a blast. The design of this house is ideal for a family type event and offers lots of diversions with fishing, volleyball, badminton, boating, kayaking, etc. The Maloney family was most helpful in making this event a success. Thank you!
