My beautiful condominium is located in South Maui, on the Wailea/Kihei border. The area is populated with beautiful luxury resorts, shopping, restaurants, golf and beaches. My condominium is directly across from the popular Kamaole III Beach and State Park. swimming, snorkeling, surfing and wave riding are excellent here; this park is also THE place to watch sunset - a festive atmosphere enjoyed by locals and guest to Maui alike.
My unit is located in a 23 acre complex which is low-rise and low-density with extensive lawns and tropical landscaping in its dramatic hillside setting. My smoke-free unit is located in the most desirable oceanview "A" building of the Maui Kamaole Condominium complex. There are no buildings or obstructions in front of my condominium, assuring you of stunning and UNOBSTRUCTED OCEAN VIEWS, sunsets, stargazing and whale watching from the privacy of your own lanai.
The unit is a very spacious 900 square feet on the ground floor (no steps so handicap and wheelchair accessible). It is a very sunny (South and North exposures), modern, comfortable and very well equipped unit. Being a New York City interior designer (and real estate broker), I selected the furniture, art and finishes to reflect an island serenity and theme without resorting to the tacky cliche` of tropical pastels prints found in so many hawaii rentals. This condominium was completely remodeled in 2006 - stone floors throughout (extending to the ocean view and Haleakala view lanais as well); a new kitchen with new appliances, maple cabinetry, granite counters, cookware and dishes; two sumptuous custom baths with marble showers (both large enough for two - hint!hint!), granite basins, imported light fixtures, bamboo hardware and uber-luxurious Ralph Lauren bath linens.
The bedroom is large with a new king-size bed outfitted with 600 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets, a sumptuous 100% down comforter outfitted in a high thread count duvet, an en suite master bathroom with dual sink vanity & walk-in shower, two large closets, Indonesian teak and bamboo furniture and an enclosed lanai. The living room / dining area has an open, airy feeling decorated with earth-toned upholstery, teak and koa wood accents, an antique Chinese wedding cabinet houses the entertainment system (stereo with 6 - CD changer, AM/FM & cassette, VCR, DVD and 25-inch color TV), bamboo wall coverings and original artwork (from Hawaiian artists) all blend harmoniously with the unimpeded ocean view from the 22 foot-plus expanse of glass composed of new, insulated and soundproof, double sliding doors.
This is not a standard rental condominium. It is a chic and comfortable island home. In fact, I use this as my Maui residence three to four months annually. I limit my rentals to two adults and children over 12 who will care for my property, and enjoy it as much as I do. It is the perfect place for the extended, comfortable, romantic stay on Maui. I welcome honeymooning couples (champagne gift baskets and in room couples massages can be arranged in advance for an additional charge). Additionally, I enthusiastically welcome seniors, singles and gay travellers.
Amenities at the condominium complex include multiple tennis courts, two swimming pools (one with a waterfall), two hot tubs, poolside gazebos with eating areas and gas barbecues for guest use. Excellent shopping (the Shops at Wialea - numerous art galleries and clothing stores as well as Tiffany's, Gucci, Versace, Louis Vuitton, etc.), movie theatres, restaurants (Spago at The Four Seasons, Sarrento's on the Beach, Joe's Bar and Grill, Sansei Sushi, Maui Taco, Cafe O'Lei, etc.), championship golf (five courses are located within a two mile radius) and the best beaches on all of Maui are only minutes away ( Keawakapu, Kamaole I, II & III, Elua - these three are within walking distance - Wialea, Polo and Makenna Beaches all have public parking and are less than 5 minutes away). The historic whaling town of Lahaina & world famous Ka'anapalii Beach are 24 miles (45 minutes)away; horseback riding at Makenna stables is 9 miles away (20 minutes); the Maui Ocean Center & Aquarium at Ma'alea Harbor is 15 miles away (20 minutes). Additionally, necessities such as grocery stores (Safeway, Foodland and the Star Market). Additionally, I can put you in touch with the Best activities director on Maui to arrange any and all activities you can imagine (as well as dinner reservations, inter island travel & car rentals)!
