Welcome to “ISLAND LIFE”, the PERFECT and AFFORDABLE beach getaway St. George Island! “Island Life” is the ideal spot for families, couples, friends, or retirees. The house is equipped with everything you’ll need to entertain the kids, have a romantic weekend, do some birdwatching or kayaking or fishing, or even to stay for a while! Completely renovated & refurnished with beautiful & comfortable furnishings & décor.
“Island Life” is located in the hammock on a large, private lot only short 2 blocks to the Gulf of Mexico and 1 block to the Apalachicola Bay with PUBLIC KAYAK & CANOE LAUNCH AREA. PAVED BIKING TRAIL is 1 block away, and playground, lighthouse, visitor's center, & shopping & restaurants are nearby. Inside we have 3 lovely bedrooms & 2 baths, TV, DVD, VCR, HIGH SPEED INTERNET, open living, dining & kitchen area seats 9 for meals & well-equipped kitchen! Outside you’ll find the outdoor shower is great under the trees & stars, 2 porch swings to enjoy, fish cleaning sink & park grill & large covered parking.
We have a washer & dryer in the utility room downstairs with some sand toys, floats, beach chairs, skim board & boogie board for guests (subject to last guest leaving in same condition.) Lots of hooks & storage throughout the house for towels & beach gear! We also don't empty the frig entirely as do some rentals, and ask that guests leave staples as they find them. For example, sugar, coffee, pepper, ketchup, napkins, laundry soap, etc. are generally on hand, but if you use it up, please replace it for the next guests.

St. George Island is a hidden treasure in the panhandle of Florida. Beautiful beach, never crowded, great weather year 'round, plenty to do & see, & great place to relax!
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage
Our house sits alone with hardly any others nearby. It's on one of the prettiest lots on the narrowest points on St. George Island allowing guests to walk to the beach 2 blocks or the bay 1 block & relax in the shade of the trees in between time in the sun!
Small bay access area for public fishing, launch of canoe or kayak. Wallk over to oyster shell driveway just to left of end of 9th St. West.
Downtown area about 8 blocks from our house, paved bike path along Gulf Beach Drive leads to Lighthouse, Visitor's Center, Playground, Shops & Restaurants.
Crossovers to the beaches are located at the end of each of the cross streets (8th, 9th, etc.). W. 9th Street is closest to our house, an easy & lovely 2 block walk to the beautiful Gulf waters!
