This beautiful, third-floor, beachfront condo is one of the most perfect locations for a family vacation you'll ever find. Situated in the family-oriented and very popular Reef Club complex, ours is a 1,300 sq.ft. corner unit located over the beach and the pool. There are only 5 units in the Reef Club that are situated right over the beach, and this is one of them. It has absolutely wonderful views, both directly out over the sea-oats to the Gulf and also, from the balcony, you have the most gorgeous view up the sweep of the sugar-sand beach.
We constantly maintain the condo to to keep it looking great. It has absolutely everything, right down to the fully equipped kitchen. There's a washer and dryer, linens, and towels. It has a crib/playpen. The kitchen and hall-way are tiled and there is tasteful wall mirroring in the living areas.
There are three bedrooms; the master bedroom has a king-size bed, its own TV, and its own access to the balcony (you'll be lulled to sleep by the waves breaking on the beach). The other bedrooms have two single beds each and one of them also has a TV. For extra sleeping capacity, there's a sofa bed in the living room. Along with the panoramic views, the living room has lots of seating and the dining room table sits 8. The living room also has TV and a VCR / DVD player.
There is basic cable feed to all the TV's, and access to a public Wi-Fi connection. For your convenience, there's a small grocery store right across the street, so you don't actually have to drive at all if you don't want to.
To complete this vacation in heaven, we have a tennis court on-site, no reservations required. We also have assigned, covered parking right next to the elevator, great for our less mobile guests. The Reef Club complex has 55 units, and is located at 1000 Gulf Blvd, Indian Rocks Beach. Both the large pool and the jacuzzi are heated year-round. In addition to the on-site tennis, there are literally dozens of golf courses nearby. There's also lots of stuff to do with the kids. It's just a pleasant ten-minute drive up the beach to all the activity, shops, and attractions of Clearwater Beach. To name but a few of the things to do there; you can take a dolphin spotting cruise, go fishing for dinner (they'll clean what you catch for you), or there's a new off-shore power-boat cruise that goes 70+ mph.
Or you can rent a boat and explore for yourself our many local beaches and tropical islands that are only accessible from the water.
The local restaurants are also excellent, both in choice and variety of cuisine. We have some terrific recommendations, just ask.
Orlando and Disneyland are just a couple of hours away. We also have an excellent theme park and a water park right here in Tampa; Busch Gardens and Adventure Island, respectively. Tampa International airport is 30 minutes away.
We the owners regard you as our guests. We live in Clearwater Beach so we're close by and have lots of local knowledge you can draw on. We have a real concern to make your stay with us absolutely perfect, so you can call us at any time if you have any problems or questions. Also, along with all this personal attention, you get a significant discount from the realtor’s rates when you reserve your week(s) through us!
Rental year round is by the week (most condos in the area have a monthly minimum), Saturday to Saturday. A deposit of 25% is normally required, unless the booking is within 30 days of arrival, in which case 100% is required at the time of reservation. Major credit cards are welcome. Smoking is allowed on the balcony only. Inquire about bringing a (single) pet, please. If a pet is permissable, there is a reasonable additonal charge (10% of base rate up to $100 max).

Susan and I are both British ex-pats. Susan is from Edinburgh, Scotland, and I am from Staffordshire, England. We have both lived in the USA for more years than we care to remember, though, and are both US citizens and both IT professionals. We live just up the street in Clearwater Beach and, even though it is professionally managed, we check out our condo regularly to make sure everything is in order, (many owners are not locals). We love this part of the world... the weather, the beach, the relaxed life-style. We are sure you will too.

We had a great stay. The unit was spacious for the 6 of us. It has all the amenities you will need for a beach stay except clothing and food. Plenty of beach toys (we left behind some rafts and goggles so enjoy). While the unit and furnishing are starting to show wear the beachfront unit and cost make it a good value. The dishwasher didn't work but the management company was quick come check it out to try and fix it (needed to be replaced). Its a nice quieter and less crowded area of IRB. I would definitely recommend for families.

Although Reef Club is a little older than we expected, it is extremely well-cared for. This unit is spotless and nicely decorated with modern furnishings. The owner, Barry, as well as Plumlee Realty was a pleasure to deal with. The beach is fabulous and the condo is situated so that you can sit on the balcony in the afternoon and evenings without the sun baking you, as the sun faces the balconies that directly face the beach. Gorgeous sunsets and beautiful view from all windows. I particularly enjoyed having access to the balcony from the master bedroom. The walk-in closet is fabulous and the beds are very comfy. I cannot say enough about the location...this corner unit is close to the beach access stairs but only on the second floor so that it's not too far. There is a public beach access next door which is nicely lit at night. Amenities, shops and restaurants are within walking distance. Beautiful heated pool, great for kids, very family-friendly. I would highly recommend. We will be definitely be renting this condo again, hopefully for 2 or 3 weeks. Sheri and John and family, Windsor, Ontario, Canada

Though we do not live real far away, a few years ago we found a great deal on this beach rental on Indian Rocks Beach. We booked it expecting the worst but knowing that even a bad room on the beach is better than a good room somewhere else. We were greatly surprised at the view (the pictures didn't do it justice), the cleanliness, the size, and the convenient location. Ever since then we have booked it year after year and every year just gets better and better. I now have children who are old enough to remember it and enjoy it (ages 5 and 3). There were even beach toys and other items left in the closet for us to use that we had planned on buying. Over the years, we have seen improvements in the bedrooms and bathrooms making the experience even better. There has not been a year that we have gone that we did not wake up to see dolphins playing in the water and people catching fish from the beach. Even when the weather has been bad we have had a great time playing games in the living room, which is nice, open, and spacious. I have seen all the Tampa Bay area beaches, and I have to say that the sands of Clearwater Beach and Indian Rocks Beach are superior to the other beaches. Couple that with the great restaurants that are real close by, and our family has found a permanent traditional annual vacation place in this Reef Club condo.

I stayed in this unit at the Reef Club with my family in Nov 2010 and had a really nice time. The unit was very comfortable and well-equipped and certainly not “dilapidated” as another reviewer described it. We particularly enjoyed the fabulous balcony view and the tennis court. We are intending to return to this same unit this year.

Fortunately, a geat location, so you don't have to spend much time in the condo. The pictures of the condo are deceiving and the descriptive narrative is misleading. Both bathrooms are in need of much updating, the bedding is uncomfortable (hence the materbedroom king bed replacement since our stay), and overall, the place felt dilapidated. To be fair, the Reef Club appears to be a little long in the tooth. However, the beach is awesome - family friendly and clean, and the beach is only about 50 yards from the condo. The local restaurants are great, try Guppy's and the Salt Rock Grill. I would not recommend this condo, not until the owners complete some much needed maintenance. I've used VRBO many times and have been satisfied every time, except for this condo. I'll be interested to see if the expatriated Brits will allow this review to be posted.
