Our well-appointed home is in the quiet, wooded Lambet's Cove area. Fantastic location: allowing your group easy walking to beautiful Lambert's Cove Beach and to two wonderful swimming ponds: Seth's Pond and Icehouse Pond. The beach offers wonderful swimming, kayaking, world class striped bass fishing, and awesome views of the Elizabeth Islands. Swim in salt water in the morning, fresh water in the afternoon, or play tennis on one of the near by courts. Stroll for miles on the soft sand, catch an glorious sunset--especially spectacular in summer.
Our home is beautiful in any season, with all the comforts of home--no berber or granite counter-tops here. Spacious and comfortable, with four attractive bedrooms. Meals can be taken inside in glassed in beautiful dining/relaxing room, or on the deck at a large table next an open grassy yard and lovely pine woods. The kitchen is cheerful with new cabinets and floors, and is well stocked for baking fresh berry pies, or making gourmet meals with fresh herbs in the garden. A den is ideal for cards and reading. A large family room is perfect for relaxing with a book, game, or movie. The master bedroom has a large balcony to sunbathe, nap, or just listen to the wind through the trees. An outdoor shower is best for those balmy summer days. Imagine sitting on the porch reading, listening to the rustling of the trees, playing soccer or wiffle ball on the lawn.
From the house it's a one mile jog or bike ride to a small shopping area with café,yoga, grocery store, pharmacy gym, and post office. Bike paths, Vineyard Haven, and the fishing village of Menemsha are minutes away. Fine restaurants are also available: the Lambert's Cove Inn, a five minute walk from the house, is one of the finest on the Island, and there are other great restaurants near by.
Ferry Tickets Available on Some Dates.

I have spent a week in this beautiful and relaxed home for a week for the past thre summers with my husband and two young children. WE LOVED eating at the huge table in the modern addition, playing in the large yard and enjoying showers outside after the beach. Lamberts Cove Beach is the most beautiful beach on the island, always warm and a quick walk or bike ride from the house. The house is well-stocked and in a safe quiet neighborhood in the most mellow part of the Island. The photos don't do it justice- you have to come see it for yourself!!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, age 55+.

I have vacationed with friends on Martha's Vineyard for years, always in a different house. But I was smitten with this one when I stayed there in July 2010 and I can't wait to return. We were a mix of couples and singles, so the setup was perfect with 2 rooms each having a queen bed and two rooms with twin beds. With a full and a half bath and the outdoor shower, it was like having 2 full bathrooms so that worked out well. We loved sitting out on the deck, relaxing with a bottle of wine each evening. We did plenty of cooking in the house and really enjoyed the sitting room off the kitchen which the owner said was a recent home extension. The house is in a quiet area, surrounded by woods, and just a short walk to Lambert's Cove beach, one of the nicest beaches on the island and a great place to see beautiful sunsets. We also went for a swim a couple of times in Seth's Pond, a short walk down Lambert's Cove Rd. in the other direction. Within a mile, there's a grocery, fish market (was there a lot!), bakery, and even a yoga studio. And State Road is really close by for those drives across the island. Had such a wonderful experience. Looking forward to my next visit.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.
