We spent 4 days at the cabin with our two sons and their families. It was a great cabin for folks with kids. Our grandkids are 6 7 and 9 so the loft was a great place for them to sleep, play and watch videos. A table in the loft gave them room to play games, color etc. We loved the character of the house and the home like feel. One of best parts is the closeness to the indoor/outdoor pool and the bike paths. Two great decks with lots of room. The owners were wonderful to deal with and were very flexible. We will be back for sure and have recommended to our friends and family

This home has all the Central Oregon warmth and charm that we were hoping to find. Nicely furnished, the natural, wood covered walls and fireplace created a cozy and comfortable setting. The hot tub was great! The bedrooms were quiet, and the reading loft is a very nice feature. To top this off, the owners were a pleasure to deal with. Thanks for a great getaway experience.

Our family stayed at this property for a winter getaway over New Years. The ranch had over a foot of snow and the weather was clear and cold. Our kids appreciated the easy access to (free!) sledding and we all enjoyed the hot tub. The cabin is well appointed and cozy. We found everything we needed for cooking (not just heating) in the kitchen and enjoyed a warm crackling fire every evening. Our kids made themselves at home upstairs -- the bedroom and sleeping loft are perfect for four kids with room for four adults downstairs. The location is an easy walk to the Rec Center and Pool, so we look forward to visiting again in Summer. Thank you to owner Marla for being so easy to work with on all the details of our stay. Recommended!

Our family of 4 stayed here for 8 days and found the house to be extremely comfortable, clean, well appointed and conveniently located. The living room/dining area has plenty of seating, the kitchen is well outfitted and the bedrooms have comfy beds with plenty of room to spread out. The loft is perfect for a kid hang-out and the hot tub is a real perk, especially in the winter. The owners couldn't have been nicer and accommodating and we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Five stars all the way!

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Greene's cabin. The 2 bedrooms and bath downstairs and the bedroom, bath and loft area upstairs were a comfortable fit for the 6 of our family, could have added a couple of more people. The kitchen was well stocked, the hot tub clean and relaxing, and we even found two bikes in the carport for riding on the many miles of trails in Black Butte Ranch. The two golf courses were beautiful. We ate dinner on the patio in the nice table and chairs. All in all a great vacation. There is something to entertain everyone at the ranch. We would totally rent the house again!

We had a fantastic time staying here. The house is perfect for a family - well-appointed but no so fancy that you fear your child's every move. It is less than ten minutes by bike to the big pool and close to smaller, quiter pools and only about a 20 minute ride to the lodge, where we canoed and fly-fished and played tennis, oh my. Really, just a fantastic time. Thanks for sharing your home with us!

My family has been staying at Black Butte Ranch annually for 20+ years. Recently the house we rented from a close friend was sold and we were left looking for another option. We found this rental and were very pleased. The Green's are accommodating, easy to work with, and even gave us a courtesy call during our stay to insure everything was going smoothly. As experienced BBR visitors we are well aware of all the wonderful amenities the ranch offers. We found this home to be equally good. The back patio is perfect with warming sun during the brisk morning hours and shade in the evening for outdoor meals or lounging about. Having a hot tub was also great for a soak under the stars or to give the children another option when us adults were worn out from trips to the pools. The location on the ranch is awesome, just a short walk/bike ride to Glaze Meadow Pool/Rec and Aspen Lake. Inside was comfortable for our crew as well, the loft area provided a nice place for 5 young boys to relax with movies/games while the adults could play cards/games downstairs. The house was clean, comfortable and the rental price reasonable. I would strongly recommend this house to anyone seeking a place to stay at Black Butte. Just don't reserve the dates I want next year...hahahaha.

We had a wonderful time on our Black Butte vacation. The owners of this home were very accomodating. This home is so nice and cozy. It had everything we needed, and the location near the Glaze Meadow pool is awesome. My 3 and 4-year-old were able to bike to the pool/playground in a jiffy. We enjoyed being able to build a fire in the fireplace during the chilly nights. We also used the gas grill quite a bit. There was plenty of room, we even had 8 people stay one night, and it worked out great. We can't wait to rent this home again!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Attractively detailed, clean, but not too fancy so the grandchildren felt right at home. The grandchildren enjoyed the pool and skiing at Hoodoo, a perfect family resort. They keep asking when we can go again. The kitchen had everything we needed. The owner answered our questions immediately as if we were friends.

We had a wonderful five days at your cabin with our extended family over the Christmas holidays. The cabin was homey and warm; the kitchen was well stocked for cooking our Christmas dinner; and and our kids and grandson loved playing in the loft. We really appreciated the close proximity to the Rec Center for swimming, working out, and great massages. There was no snow this year, but, it was fun to take long walks and enjoy the views of the mountains ... and, we were able to ski on the way home at HooDoo. Thanks for being flexible hosts, and for providing us with lots of information about Black Butte and the surrounding areas.

I have been visiting Black Butte Ranch with my family since I was a small child. My parents would take our family there every year on vacation and I still cherish the memories of swimming, hiking, bike riding, feeding the fish and horseback riding. As an adult, I have started taking my own family on vacation to Black Butte Ranch every year. We always visited the same cabin as children, and I believe I've found the cabin my children will always remember. It's clean and rustic. The fireplace proved to be the perfect gathering place at the end of a long day, curled up with the kids for bedtime stories and visiting with the adults late into the evening. The hot tub is an obvious bonus, and the yard is safe enough to feel comfortable allowing the children to play outside without worry. It's so quiet and peaceful and exactly what we needed to enjoy a relaxing vacation. I can't wait to visit again this summer!

We really liked Black Butte Ranch, having never been there. It took awhile to get our bearings because there are so many streets and the signs are sideways and hard to read. We had to take our map everywhere. We biked the whole ranch, and we walked the whole ranch. The cabin is really cute and had everything we needed. We stayed the end of September in the middle of the week, and there were no neighbors in sight. Very peaceful except the road out front is kind of noisy. The bike path is nice and long but has a lot of intersections so you have to watch out for cars. If you want to take a long bike ride, though, it's better to leave the ranch. There are a lot of people that work there and they're all friendly. We ate a burger & fries at Robert's Pub and it was fabulous (and they give you more than you can eat). We sat outside next to the golf course in gorgeous weather. We can't wait to come back.

Owner response: Thank you for your review Barb. We are glad you had a good time biking and eating at Rober's Pub, it is one of our favorites also. We are happy for you to return when you can get away. We are sorry that the street was busier than usual during your stay due to the Glaze Meadow golf course remodel poject.

My family and I stayed in this cabin at the end of July, and it was perfect! It has a very homey feel, is in a perfect location and was very comfortable. The private hot tub was such a great amenity...very relaxing at night and after a day of bike riding and/or golf. I would definitely recommend this property.

Vaulted living space and large loft-style upstairs with skylight create a spacious and light ambiance inside this cabin. Nestled in beautiful mature pine trees, the presence of deer, squirrels, and a large variety of birds offer the feeling of being deep within a protected National Forest, even though you have two wonderful 18 hole golf courses, fantastic swimming pools, recreation centers, horseback riding, and elegant cuisine to enjoy. I give this cabin a MUST-STAY rating, while offering one word of caution; you may find yourself never wanting to leave.
