The famous Hazards Restaurant and Microbrewery and pool is on-site along with a gift shop and golf cart rentals. There is always live weekend entertainment during the season.
Weekday rates offer substantial savings. You can reach St. Hazards by the Miller Ferry and there is hourly water taxi service to Put-in-Bay on the Sonny S. This waterfront condo faces directly on the water. An automobile is not necessary because there is a shuttle that meets all ferry arrivals and will take you to the resort for $2 per person. Why the Owner Chose Middle Bass Island
Ed, the developer of St. Hazards also built the 74 home Island Club community on Put-in-Bay. Back around 1995 he decided to sell off the Put-in-Bay property and concentrate only on Middle Bass Island. Our waterfront location on Middle Bass is very special because there are no cliffs like on Put-in-Bay and the resort is more than 20 acres in size so that it can have a real village atmosphere.
The Unique Benefits at this Condominium
Middle Bass Island has often been called the quiet island for active people. We are only a 10 minute water taxi ride away from Put-in-Bay, but world's away in terms of the traffic and crowds. This year the new State of Ohio marina will open right next door to St. Hazards with 240 boat slips and a free boat launching ramp. Guests of St. Hazards are all welcome at the Hazards Restaurant & Microbrewery and have free use of the pool and hot tub. Only those that rent directly from St. Hazards are guaranteed this access. St. Hazards is a great getaway that will make you feel like you have really left the city behind.
A new marina for 240 boats and free boat launching has been built by the state of Ohio right next to St. Hazards and the condos.
The action of Put-in-Bay is just a 10 minute water taxi ride away from Middle Bass Island. Water taxi's usually leave every hour during scheduled times.

St. Hazards was inspired by the small Caribbean island of St. Barths. And on that island there is a special hangout called LeSelect that opened in 1949. Here's Ed, the developer and owner of St. Hazards and the condos, with Marius (who started LeSelect in 1949) and his son Gary hoisting the St. Hazards flag at his place in St. Barths. Jimmy Buffett has visited LeSelect many times and Marius made a special trip to St. Hazards a few years ago. Ed has tried to bring the Caribbean to St. Hazards on Middle Bass Island in Lake Erie.
