Comfortable and Convenient Location

We recently spent 3 comfortable weeks in this unit and have no hesitation in recommending it to others. It was well-appointed and clean. We found the ground floor convenient and close to the pool. The lanai was well furnished with a new table, chairs, and umbrella. We did have a problem with the oven but the owner was having it looked at when we left. We appreciated all the extras that we found in the cupboard (seasonings, oil, vinegar, coffee filters) and in the fridge (mustard, catsup, etc. so we did not have to purchase these items). As we are seniors and tended to spend our evenings in the unit, we would have appreciated a more modern and larger flat screen TV as we watched a lot of TV in the evenings. Overall, a good and enjoyable stay. Thanks Mike and Dan.

Kickass Pad!

We had the good fortune to spend 10 days in this beautiful condo for our wedding/honeymoon.....it was a perfect vacation. The unit is very clean/modern and the location is central to everything we needed. A short walk across the street to Charlie Young Beach and you're in a nearly private paradise! Go to the beach early for the best sun. My son enjoyed the pool that was right out the back door....ground floor unit enabled me to kick-it on the lanai and read/relax while he swam. Thanks, Mike and Dano....WE SHALL RETURN!!

I have found the condo we want to stay in every time we go to Maui. Comfortable, clean, well appointed cool safe with easy beach access. We finished each evening with a refreshing swim in the pool off the lanai. The beach seemed to be all mine in the early mornings. RECOMMEND! Thanks Mike and Dano

Excellent Condo – great location!

We loved staying at this condo during our stay in Maui. As advertised, it's just a short walk to a beautiful beach and just steps to the pool and tennis courts. The upgrades to the suite are extensive and we found it very clean on arrival. The grounds in Maui Vista are also well kept – we especially enjoyed the communal BBQ's. Our extended family rented 3 other condos in Maui Vista during our stay and this one was by far the nicest.

Comfortable and well appointed!

We were very satisfied with this clean, well appointed and centrally located unit. We found the unit to be well decorated and very comfortable; just enough Hawaiiana to give it a tropical feel without being tacky or over the top like many of the condos we've rented on Maui. Classy, beautiful, subtle. I was initially concerned that being on the ground floor and only 10-15 yards from the pool that the unit would have noise issues. To the contrary the unit was quiet both inside and out and the location on the ground floor allowed for super easy access and the proximity to the pool made it a welcome treat! Most evenings before dinner we sat on the lanai for mai tai's and pupus and after dinner took a refreshing dip in the pool. The location of this condo is great with good food and unique shopping nearby. We particularly liked that we were so close to the beach. The walk to beaches offer great swimming, lounging and sunsets! We'll definately be back to this unit; we look forward to it!!!

OVERALL DISAPPOINTMENT

From the moment we arrived, we sensed this condo had not been professionally cleaned & maintained for some time; floors generally were dusty & dirty (especially under the bed and in the corners), many glasses & some cutlery had to be put through the dishwasher, some knives were dull & rusty, etc. The Patio table (broken & dirty) and umbrella could not be used for dining and shading the sun; the screen had many holes and the drapes had holes and were in bad shape. There were no helpful instructions from the owners; it took a long time to find the user ID and Password for the Wireless router (it's hidden in the back of a drawer); the telephine answering device was disabled and had no instruction book; no TV station guide; no dining recommendations and the owners made no attempt at contacting us at any time during our 5 week stay. Otherwise, we liked the location on the ground floor but will probably have to search for another unit for another 5 weeks next year.

Owner response:Sometimes its difficult to know the needs of our unit when we do not live on island until we are notified of the problem from our guests or the property management. Dan and I were there 2 short months prior to Ernie's stay and we did not find any of the problems mentioned in the above post. The unit is popular due to the location and comfort that we have provided there. Ernie has all of our contact information, cell numbers house number, email and emergency numbers provided to him prior to his arrival. With one phone call his concerns would have received immediate attention. We do not offer 24 hour concierge service as Ernie seems to have needed. Anyone familiar with Kihei knows that there is volcanic dust ever present. Dusting could be done daily. There are times when the unit is vacant for an amount of time between guests. The unit is thoroughly cleaned after each guest leaves. We try to please everyone as best we are able. We are aware that there is no way to please everyone, some may be discontents. Ernie inundated us with calls at our home before his trip asking for this and for that and we obliged his every request. When Ernie left the unit he felt he needed to leave some damage that we are in the process of repairing at this time. All repairs will be accomplished by March 1st 2011. After 5 years of repeat guests and pleasant responses and guest feedback about our place, Ernie's actions and comments come as a surprise. We hope that your experience feels like home away from home.

We have stayed in so many condos on Maui. They usually come with the overused bamboo furniture, the moldy smell and the not so comfortable bed. Not so with this condo. What a breath of fresh air. The unit is upscale and brand new. I have stayed there many times and each time its as if it were the first time. I recommend this unit to all of my friends. Everything id so close by, the beach, the restaurant, the pool :) No road noise. Just birds and ocean. Great.
