We had a wonderful time during our Spring Break stay at this chalet at Eagle Crest. The home was lovely, comfortable, clean and well-equipped. I visited with my 12-year-old son. We shared the rental with another mom and her son. The boys enjoyed the bedroom with the bunk beds. I felt very spoiled staying in the pretty, peaceful master bedroom, and my friend was also comfortable in the other bedroom downstairs. We all enjoyed the hot tub! The chalet was not too far from the Sports Center. The boys were able to walk down there by themselves and play basketball in the indoor gym. We swam in the indoor pool at the Sports Center. We played mini-pool on the game table in the loft upstairs. We went to the movies in Redmond and inner-tubing on Mount Bachelor. Redmond is quite close, and the drive to Bend and Mount Bachelor was very manageable. All in all, it was a great trip! I would definitely recommend this property to a friend or relative.

Fantastic stay at Eagle Crest over New Years weekend. The Chalet was just as expected from the photo's viewed online. Very well stocked with everything needed in the kitchen and bathrooms. Very comfortable beds and sleeping arrangements for 2 families. Love loved the on site hot tub (not all rentals have this feature). Excellent location and owner, Shannon was very helpful and a pleasure to work with. We will definitely be staying again!

We really enjoyed our stay. The listing was definitely accurate and the home was very clean and organized. We really loved the decor. The owners were responsive and helpful. Our group was 6 adults and 2 kids aged 3 and under. Everyone had a comfortable bed and we all fit around the dining room table. The games, toys and DVDs were a continual delight to the kids. I wish we'd had time to break out the bikes. Unfortunately, we didn't even have time to use our Eagle Crest sports passes, but we had no problem picking them up. The hot tub was easy to operate and was wonderfully soothing. It was easy to connect to the wireless broadband service and that worked great. The TVs worked great too (when we had time to watch TV) and we appreciated all the kids' networks that were available.

This home is beautiful and extremely clean. My husband, 2 boys (ages 14 & 17) and I had a fantastic time at Eagle Crest, we each took a night to fix dinner and found everything we needed in the kitchen. The bikes are in excellent condition and we ventured out to explore the area. I highly recommend the rafting trip through Sun Country Tours, they have a bus that leaves from the main part of the resort and you can book online. The chalet has a good supply of games, movies, and toys for all ages. I highly recommend this chalet and look forward to staying here again.

Nice Newer Chalet

The plus side: We really enjoyed our time at this vacation home. Everything was clean when we arrived, minus some sticky stuff on the kitchen floor. The unit has a nice patio and good view of the pond. The house has a nice location, and is a quick ride down to the other side of Eagle Crest. The cons: The picture is a little misleading, as the houses around the pond are stacked 10 feet apart. One word to the wise. When it is warm outside, the upstairs will be warm or hot and the downstairs will be cold or freezing. The barbeque on the deck was useable, but in general disrepair, with the grates being warped beyond repair and filthy. The house is a long ride back up from the other side of Eagle Crest, as it is up a rather steep hill. The children's pool in our opinion was to far away to ride bicycles to with a little one, so you must drive there. Instructions to the pool are in the house, but can be difficult to locate, depending on who last visited. We eventually found them in the t.v. cabinet. In conclusion, we would stay here again.

Since this is the first review where our chalet has been rated less than 5 stars, we felt it necessary to address some of your cons for future guests. Our home is located in the Eagle Creek neighborhood, amongst all of the chalets in Eagle Crest. On our vacation home listing, we have provided 2 images of the chalet that clearly show the proximity of the neighboring units. In addition, before booking a reservation with a guest, we always inform them that our chalet circles up the pond area with about 15 other chalets and we share this area as a common area. At no time do we ‘mislead’ our guests with pictures or verbal descriptions. We understand that temperature regulation in a two story unit can be a bit of a challenge. Our central air conditioning/heat pump is designed to accommodate both areas. Therefore, guests are always free to open and close vents to accommodate their climate preferences both upstairs and downstairs. In addition we have 2 fans in the home for added circulation. Having a warped and dirty BBQ is absolutely not the standard for our chalet. We have ordered a new grate for the cooking surface that should remedy this. We also provide grill cleaner solution and a grill scraping brush for our guests to use during their stay. Eagle Crest Resort sits on over 1700 acres with more than 1800 homes/condos. Much of Eagle Crest is built on gradual hillsides which can make for a bit of extra work when riding bikes uphill (the downhill is the best!). There are pros and cons to any location within Eagle Crest. Our chalet is located just a short walk/bike (about 10 minutes) from the 18 hole family putting course, indoor swimming pools, sports center, and playground. We are always forthcoming about our location and proximity to resort amenities. In our home, on the counter, we have provided an informative binder with directions and resources for your stay at Eagle Crest We truly believe that our chalet is one of the best values in the resort, with many added ‘extras’ that you will not find in other vacation homes.

we had a great time it was a perfect place for our adult children!!! it was very clean and had a few extra's too !! we forgot our grandsons stroller and to our surprise you had the perfect one it made our walks even better :) Next time we go over we will be asking for your home. Thanks so much and as clean crazy person you home was perfect!!! thats is a plus not a lot of people who rent do that great on the up keep so THANK YOU!!!

We went for 3 nights with our 1&4 year old and had a great time. You just need show up and everything is there. Toys, movies, high chair, pak&play and baby gate to name a few were things we didn't have to pack this time. A little more instruction on the how to work the cover for the hot tub would be helpful but other than that everything is very well thought out. Thanks.

Shockingly Great!

First off, I have rented from other private owners through homeaway before. Most of my experiences have been OK, with a couple that I will never go back to again. However, The Stinnett's Chalet will be one that I return to over and over again. It is by far the best homeaway rental experience that we have had. Shannon is so easy to work with, but runs her rental like a professional business. Everything that this place advertises is accurate. It is clean, cozy, well furnished, and is stocked with everything...lots of extras...scissors, tape, spices, toys, first aid, throw blankets, extra pillows, plastic wrap, baggies, menus, area attraction flyers, and a binder with a wealth of information. We are a bit tied to our laptop and the wireless access suited out needs perfectly. Our group of 6 thoroughly enjoyed our stay here in December. Some of the things we enjoyed were; the hot tub, comfortable beds, beautiful view of the pond, video library, CD library, front load washer/dryer, magazines, games, puzzles, large dining table, spacious deck, and the warm cozy wood burning fireplace (we picked up a couple of bundles of firewood at the grocery store). We will most definately rent from the Stinnetts again. This chalet and experience was worth every penny spent. It is an amazing value!

We really liked the set up of this home. When we opened the door, my husband's first words were, "ok, I really like this place. You made a good choice". The 3 bedroom/2 baths suited our needs for 2 couples, a teenager and our mother. charming decor and a very cozy feeling. Be sure to pick up wood if you want to use the fireplace. One drawback for adults, the DVDs are mainly kid-oriented so be sure to bring you favorites with you. For sports fans, the TV package really only carries network stations and the kid channels. We naturally had planned to watch the big games over Thanksgiving weekend, so had to view them elsewhere. Luckily we have friends in the area so were able to join them. This is not a criticism just a heads up. In the summer months, I would never have noticed. Shannon was great to work with and even called the first day to make sure everything was in order. That's a first and I've used VRBO quite a bit over the past couple of years.

Place was very attractive, neat and clean with a kitchen full of all necessary utensils. I would highly recommend this place to others. A couple of suggestions include directions to the upper water park and recycling receptacles and pick up. Overall, the place was great. The owners were very easy to work with.

We stayed in this home as part of a family reunion. The owners thought of everything! The home was beautiful and a perfect homebase for our vacation. The kids loved the loft area and the toys. The adults loved the well appointed kitchen and the perfect card playing table. We are planning to stay there again!

My family and I had an excellent stay at the Stinnett's chalet this summer. If you are looking for a vacation home rental that has it all, look no further. The owners of this property thought of everything to make our stay exceptional. The kitchen was thouroughly stocked, the home was immaculant, and the decor was so thought out and new looking...not like some of the second hand furniture that some vacation homes have. This furniture was obviously tastefully chosen with comfort and style in mind. Shannon was very easy to work with. She answered all of our questions and refunded our security deposit in a timely manner. As far as price, this vacation home is the best value for what we got that we have ever stayed at. Do not hesitate if you are considering choosing between this Eagle Crest vacation rental and another. You won't be disappointed!

Loved your place! The home is warm, cozy, clean and in perfect condition. Very nice location with deck overlooking the pond area. The hot tub was a big plus and fun to be in as it was trying to snow and the moon was full. Our two teenage girls were able to bring a couple of friends along and the division of space worked perfectly for us. Thank you so much for the perfect weekend!

We would highly recommend this property! We recently stayed at the Chalet for a family wedding. There was plenty of room for us, which consisted of 5 adults and 3 children. The owner was pleasant and very easy to work with. We were really impressed with how clean and well stocked the house was. It was perfect, just as described.! We wished we had taken some board games but enjoyed the puzzles, the game table, the selection of DVD's and the hot tub at the Chalet. We golfed, went on walks, and swam at the pool. Our only regret.....we wished we could have stayed longer. We definitely want to come back.

My family of five stayed here in July for 3 days. The chalet was very clean and well-stocked; better than we had hoped! The downstairs bedrooms are small but fine for my teenagers. Besides they weren't hanging out there; they were in the loft playing pool on the mini-gameboard. The chalet is not a large property, but the open space makes it feel bigger than its 1400 SF. The master bedroom is a good size, with a large double-sink and TV. The furnishings are modern and comfortable; we particularly like the counter-height slate table. The only view of the mountains is in the loft; but the large deck has nice views of the pond. We cooked on the gas grill every evening. The deck gets the afternoon shade; I sat out there every afternoon with my laptop and a glass of wine. Very relaxing. We never did visit the pools. But the resort has access to the Deschutes, where my husband fly-fished. My son and I also got in a round on the putting green. Eagle Crest is a great location to explore Central Oregon. Our stay included the Lava Lands and Lava Butte, the Lava River Cave, and the Deschutes Brewery in Bend. We also went out to the Painted Hills near Mitchell, OR - which was stunning. There was so much more to do, but we ran out of time. The owners were responsive to our inquiries and promptly returned our security deposit after our trip. I would recommend this vacation spot to anyone looking to visit Central Oregon.

I was looking for a great bargain for 6 adults to get away for the weekend, and this was it, especially compared to other options. Plenty of privacy for 3 married couples, beautiful, very family friendly home, the hottub was a great addition, and the owners were very good to work with and very helpful with my questions and in suggestions about restaurants. Wish we would have remembered to bring wood for the fireplace.

I would highly recommend this property. The Chalet was very clean and comfortable just as described. Very pleasant owner and very easy to work with.
