A five minute walk takes the family to this uncrowded subdivision's private beach with the pool and tennis courts only a two minute walk from this vacation home. Enjoy the beauty of the Gulf waters and the seclusion which enhances the experience. Our guests' most common observation, "The pictures on the website don't do the home justice!" This private home has four bedrooms, two bathrooms and a living room / attached sunroom with a fireplace. An open floor plan with a large gourmet kitchen includes a breakfast bar gathering area opening into the living room. The expandable dining area comfortably seats six with additional seating at the breakfast bar. Enjoy the spaciousness of the rooms and the completeness of the kitchen environment with its easy to reach accessories in a generous sized environment. Fourteen foot ceilings in the open living area provide a roomy gathering space.
The master bedroom suite features a king-size bed, walk-in closet and a large master bathroom. This spacious master bath has a separate walk-in shower, oversized double whirlpool tub, dual sinks and a built-in makeup area. A second bedroom features another king size bed, the third has a twin bunk bed set and the fourth bedroom has a trundle bed (providing 2 twin beds). Use of a gas Broilmaster grill is also included.
The 2,000 sq. foot home was newly built in 2005 and tastefully furnished. Three tv’s (large screen TV in the living room), two dvd's, and a washer/dryer unit are located in the home along with internet access. Upgrades such as 14 foot ceilings, crown molding, and granite countertops make your “home away from home” surroundings comfortable and luxurious. The pool (which is cleaned on a daily basis) and two tennis courts are a few doors down from the home. Please note that this is a quiet family neighborhood and the home can accommodate a maximum of 2-3 cars.
Beautiful surroundings coupled with emerald waters and soft, white sand beaches make for a vacation you'll wish would never end. In addition to the beach you won't have to venture very far to enjoy many of the Destin area attractions. With just a brief drive you’ll be on some of the finest championship golf courses and outstanding restaurants in the Florida Panhandle. Shoppers can enjoy the Destin Commons Shopping area and Silver Sands Outlet Mall. Smith Antiques, rated #1 antique shopping experience in Florida, is less than a mile away. And for wine lovers Chan's Wine World sponsors weekly tasting either in Destin Commons or out on 30A at Watercolor. Baytowne Wharf in the Sandestin Complex is a trip in itself with activities for the children, weekly concerts and 8-10 restaurants to fit every price range.
Children will not be disappointed with bowling a game at Destin Lanes, riding a go-cart, or spending the day at the Big Kahuna Water Park. There are also excellent charter boats available for full and half day world class fishing adventures at Destin Harbor or a pleasure cruise. Numerous spas can also be found throughout the area.

Rental Procedure Details:
We ask for 1/2 of the rental rate to reserve your dates. For example, a typical summer rental is $1700 per week. To reserve your date we ask for a deposit of $850. The remainder of the fees are due two months before the rental starts. (The typical fees include an 11% local tax of $187 and a cleaning fee of $125). A separate $400 security deposit will be requested and promptly returned as soon as the cleaning staff has confirmed that the property is damage free.

Our private subdivision beach area is for the exclusive use of Avalon guests - uncrowded, yet a short walk to a public washroom and three beach restaurants. Avalon's private beach walkover with seating is a wonderful place to watch beautiful and inspirational sunrises and sunsets. A boardwalk fronting the beach extends for miles in front of the subdivision where guests enjoy walking, jogging and bikerides.

The beauty of the area first drew us to the Panhandle along with the many amenities. The magnificent beaches, the emerald green of the Gulf, fantastic golfing, shopping, art and culture meant that there were activities for every member of the family to enjoy. The diversity of the area is unparalleled along with the friendliness of the local population.
The Unique Benefits at this House
The splendor of the beaches ever changing colors brings a calm to one's spirit. Our subdivision's private beach is another special amenity. The boardwalk, which fronts the subdivision runs along the Gulf for miles providing the perfect path for walking and jogging. Shopping at the designer outlet stores, Destin Commons, Sandestin Hilton and the upscale shops on 98 are a favorite pastime along with visiting antique and quality consignment stores. Golfing at more than 10 neighborhood courses (ranging from championship to a 9 hole short course) offers duffers a great deal of choice. Fishing on both the Gulf of Mexico and the Bay area provide yet another diversion for both adults and children. Five great restaurants (3 located on the beach) are within walking distance. Amusement parks for the children are close and if needed, immediate medical care is just 3 blocks north of our home with the newly constructed Sacred Heart Hospital just four miles away.

Our family discovered the Emerald Coast 25 years ago. We returned every year until finally deciding to build. We have enjoyed seeing the quality developments built in the region and appreciate the care that has been taken to preserve the natural areas. The mild temperatures of the Panhandle and the "seasons" in this part of Florida set it apart from lower Florida. The rich history of the area and the wonderful vacation features make the Destin area a unique family vacation spot.

What makes this such a wonderful vacation rental, aside from the homes comfort and amenities, the lovely neighborhood, location and close proximity to the beach, is the owner Denise. She is entirely commited to having her guests enjoy their stay, is available for any and all questions or concerns, and was so gracious in helping us to arrange this recent visit to Destin. She really went above and beyond to ensure a wonderful holiday experience for us. I would highly recoomend this property for anyone visiting the Destin area.

We arrived at this beautiful home & were immediately satisfied! The home was set up for great entertaining or privacy as needed. Location was amazing & neighbors were very friendly! The home was immaculate & was a very comfortable home to stay in. Denise was very easy to talk with & helpful with any questions you may have during your stay. I would highly recommend this beautiful home to any of my friends or relatives....no question. My husband & I just returned to the States from living in Saudi Arabia for 2 yrs......to see our Son & our new Grandson, this was just a great stay......we love Destin. My 6 kids and I stayed at this beach house for 4 days and it was perfect for what we wanted -- the beach was close and not overcrowded, the pool was heavenly and usually almost empty!! WE loved the open plan of the living space, and the kitchen was superbly equipped -- we couldn't have asked for more! It was a perfect setting for our family unwind time :) Thanks to Denise & hubby for being great to work with!!

This is one of the best vacation we have experienced. Why? Because the property was like home away from home. The kids adjusted right away to their new environment. Everything was as described even more. Everything one need to enjoy vacation was at arms reach or walking distance. I will definitely recommend this property. Will definitely use same property if coming back to Destin.

The location of this house was ideal. It is in a quiet residential neighborhood with very easy access to the beach and scenic 98! The owner was very helpful and provided lots of suggestions on what to do and insider tips that were very helpful. The beaches are beautiful!

Super accommodations for our group of six fisherman. By far the nicest place we have ever stayed. Spacious, clean, close to everything plus it had all of the conveniences of home. Because of the well appointed kitchen we saved a ton of money by cooking the fish we caught. Great value. Don't think twice, go for it!

Cooks love it because they are in the middle of the action due to the open floor plan. And those who enjoy grilled food love the high end barbeque in the backyard.

This was our first trip to Destin and we were not disappointed at all! The house is perfect for two families. The open floor plan makes it easy to cook, eat, watch t.v. and spend time with the whole family all at once. The pool is awesome. It is a short five house walk up the street and no crowds! The three times we went there was no more than 8 people at the pool which is a lot better than the condo pools in the front of the subdivision (too small and over crowded). The beach is a short drive from the house (5 mins) and all the beach items are included with the house (beach chairs, umbrellas, floats, beach toys, beach towels, and wave board). You will not be disappointed with the beach. White sands, blue water and once again, not overcrowded. The location of the house is perfect. The water park, shopping outlet, Baytowne Wharf, Harbor Village and local shops and restaurants are all within a 15-20 mins drive from the house. Thank you Denise for all your helpful suggestions and tips prior to our visit. This made our planning so much easier. We cannot wait to come back. Still many things we wanted to do, but didn't have time. I highly recommend this property. For the price, location and everything that's included with the house, you truly will not find a better rental.

Since our home is perfectly positioned away from the beach road, there is peace and quiet and everyone sleeps well. We had the pleasure of staying 10 days in this beautiful home located in a peaceful neighborhood. We especially enjoyed cooking in the fully-appointed kitchen. The make-up vanity within the huge master bath was convenient and made that task enjoyable. The owner, Denise, was especially easy to deal with making this trip truly memorable.

We just returned from a week in paradise! Our family was all impressed with this beautiful home. With the pictures listed, we knew the home would be beautiful, but the pictures only told half the story. The home was perfectly appointed right down to every kitchen gadget you could think of. We loved the fact that the bedrooms were separated by the living area. This gave our family privacy when needed. The open living area/kitchen/dining area was expansive with vaulted ceilings and sky lights. We spent most of our time in this part of the home because of the comfort it offered. The master bedroom had a VERY comfortable pillow top king bed and the en suite master bath was huge! The jacuzzi was wide and deep and the separate shower was roomy and had a high shower head with a wonderful back massaging jets, The makeup area was greatly appreciated. Reports from the rest of the clan stated the other bedrooms were very comfortable and suited them just fine. Our 4 year old Granddaughter loved the bunk room and made a "tent area" on the lower bunk and thought that was the greatest thing ever! We brought down our motorcycle and the use of the garage was just what we needed. The home was a very short walk to the pool, and the pool was fabulous! Clean and uncrowded! In fact most times we were the only folks at the pool. The walk to the beach was a bit of a hike for us "older folks", but the kids had no problems walking the 10 minute walk. We ended up loading up the car with all the beach toys and then driving to the entrance to the community and parking. The communications with Denise (owner) was always pleasant. She answered every silly question we threw at her and gave us great advice that was appreciated. She takes great pride in her home and it shows! If you are looking for a relaxing, stress-free experience, then rent this home. Denise will make it simple and as carefree as she can. We'll be back. This was our 3rd trip to Dentin in the past 4 years and each time it feels more like home. I can see us retiring there very easily.
