We stayed Spring Break week at this wonderful home and truly enjoyed staying in a single family home with a pool practically next door We enjoyed grilling outside and having grass to hide Easter eggs and let the kids play, and parking in the garage. The house was perfectly appointed to feel comfortable and casual at the beach, yet still everything was in great condition. The walk to the water only takes about 10 min, even with little kids in tow, and we had no problem parking the times we decided to drive to the public beach. Beautiful, upscale part of Destin with perfect gulf beaches!

What makes this such a wonderful vacation rental, aside from the homes comfort and amenities, the lovely neighborhood, location and close proximity to the beach, is the owner Denise. She is entirely commited to having her guests enjoy their stay, is available for any and all questions or concerns, and was so gracious in helping us to arrange this recent visit to Destin. She really went above and beyond to ensure a wonderful holiday experience for us. I would highly recoomend this property for anyone visiting the Destin area.

We arrived at this beautiful home & were immediately satisfied! The home was set up for great entertaining or privacy as needed. Location was amazing & neighbors were very friendly! The home was immaculate & was a very comfortable home to stay in. Denise was very easy to talk with & helpful with any questions you may have during your stay. I would highly recommend this beautiful home to any of my friends or relatives....no question. My husband & I just returned to the States from living in Saudi Arabia for 2 yrs......to see our Son & our new Grandson, this was just a great stay......we love Destin. This is one of the best vacation we have experienced. Why? Because the property was like home away from home. The kids adjusted right away to their new environment. Everything was as described even more. Everything one need to enjoy vacation was at arms reach or walking distance. I will definitely recommend this property. Will definitely use same property if coming back to Destin.

Perfect Place for Family Getaway

My 6 kids and I stayed at this beach house for 4 days and it was perfect for what we wanted -- the beach was close and not overcrowded, the pool was heavenly and usually almost empty!! WE loved the open plan of the living space, and the kitchen was superbly equipped -- we couldn't have asked for more! It was a perfect setting for our family unwind time :) Thanks to Denise & hubby for being great to work with!!

The location of this house was ideal. It is in a quiet residential neighborhood with very easy access to the beach and scenic 98! The owner was very helpful and provided lots of suggestions on what to do and insider tips that were very helpful. The beaches are beautiful!

Fisherman's Delight

Super accommodations for our group of six fisherman. By far the nicest place we have ever stayed. Spacious, clean, close to everything plus it had all of the conveniences of home. Because of the well appointed kitchen we saved a ton of money by cooking the fish we caught. Great value. Don't think twice, go for it!

Owner response:Thanks for the compliment on the complete kitchen. We love to cook and entertain so the large kitchen makes it possible to have a lot of "helpers" in the area without it being crowded. Cooks love it because they are in the middle of the action due to the open floor plan. And those who enjoy grilled food love the high end barbeque in the backyard.

This was our first trip to Destin and we were not disappointed at all! The house is perfect for two families. The open floor plan makes it easy to cook, eat, watch t.v. and spend time with the whole family all at once. The pool is awesome. It is a short five house walk up the street and no crowds! The three times we went there was no more than 8 people at the pool which is a lot better than the condo pools in the front of the subdivision (too small and over crowded). The beach is a short drive from the house (5 mins) and all the beach items are included with the house (beach chairs, umbrellas, floats, beach toys, beach towels, and wave board). You will not be disappointed with the beach. White sands, blue water and once again, not overcrowded. The location of the house is perfect. The water park, shopping outlet, Baytowne Wharf, Harbor Village and local shops and restaurants are all within a 15-20 mins drive from the house. Thank you Denise for all your helpful suggestions and tips prior to our visit. This made our planning so much easier. We cannot wait to come back. Still many things we wanted to do, but didn't have time. I highly recommend this property. For the price, location and everything that's included with the house, you truly will not find a better rental.

Our pool and private beach are an added plus for visitors because they are never crowded and these two amenities make it possible for a family to really enjoy the outdoors during their vacation. Since our home is perfectly positioned away from the beach road, there is peace and quiet and everyone sleeps well. The open floor plan makes it a great gathering space for all to come together, yet there areplenty of private rooms for the time needed to be alone. We're so glad you enjoyed your stay.

We just returned from a week in paradise! Our family was all impressed with this beautiful home. With the pictures listed, we knew the home would be beautiful, but the pictures only told half the story. The home was perfectly appointed right down to every kitchen gadget you could think of. We loved the fact that the bedrooms were separated by the living area. This gave our family privacy when needed. The open living area/kitchen/dining area was expansive with vaulted ceilings and sky lights. We spent most of our time in this part of the home because of the comfort it offered. The master bedroom had a VERY comfortable pillow top king bed and the en suite master bath was huge! The jacuzzi was wide and deep and the separate shower was roomy and had a high shower head with a wonderful back massaging jets, The makeup area was greatly appreciated. Reports from the rest of the clan stated the other bedrooms were very comfortable and suited them just fine. Our 4 year old Granddaughter loved the bunk room and made a "tent area" on the lower bunk and thought that was the greatest thing ever! We brought down our motorcycle and the use of the garage was just what we needed. The home was a very short walk to the pool, and the pool was fabulous! Clean and uncrowded! In fact most times we were the only folks at the pool. The walk to the beach was a bit of a hike for us "older folks", but the kids had no problems walking the 10 minute walk. We ended up loading up the car with all the beach toys and then driving to the entrance to the community and parking. The communications with Denise (owner) was always pleasant. She answered every silly question we threw at her and gave us great advice that was appreciated. She takes great pride in her home and it shows! If you are looking for a relaxing, stress-free experience, then rent this home. Denise will make it simple and as carefree as she can. We'll be back. This was our 3rd trip to Dentin in the past 4 years and each time it feels more like home. I can see us retiring there very easily.

We had the pleasure of staying 10 days in this beautiful home located in a peaceful neighborhood. We especially enjoyed cooking in the fully-appointed kitchen. The make-up vanity within the huge master bath was convenient and made that task enjoyable. The owner, Denise, was especially easy to deal with making this trip truly memorable.

This is a great property in a great location. The home is perfect for 2 families and has a spacious feel to it. We have rented several homes in the Avalon community and this was one of the best. The kitchen is well stocked and the appliances are great. We especially liked the wood floor. The master bath has a great shower and the closet space is huge. The extra room with the fire place has 2 extremely comfortable recliners that are perfect for afternoon naps and reading. I would highly recommend this home.

We just came home from a wonderful vacation where we stayed two weeks at this beautiful home. It was more than spacious enough and had all the amenities you could ask for! The owners were more than helpful and were always a call or email away! The pool was amazing and just a short walk away and the beaches were easily accessible! “WOW!” This is truly the most accurate way to describe this vacation property for so many reasons. When we walked in the front door, we felt as if we had arrived home, yet we were minutes from every resort amenity we could imagine -- five houses from an incredible pool, walking distance to a private-access beach, walking distance from some restaurants and a short drive from many attractions we took advantage of, such as Henderson State Park, parasailing, Okaloosa Island and more. As first time visitors of the Destin area, we came as a couple and enjoyed this home’s fireplace area to relax and read, the family room area to enjoy movies rented from a very local video store and even exercise, the kitchen to prepare meals when we just didn’t feel like going out, the laundry room to clean our clothes after a day at the beach, the garage to store our bikes and car and the roomy bedrooms and bathrooms. We immediately recognized how appropriate this home would be for a family and even two families to share because of the sleeping/bath quarters that are on opposite sides of the home. In addition, there wasn’t anything we needed to bring that wasn’t provided by the homeowner. As noted in their amenities list, they supply a coffee pot, iron/ironing board, toaster, all dishes and cleaning supplies, and even a beach umbrella and chairs! This home is in a quiet neighborhood with nice people who obviously enjoy guests bringing their families to visit and enjoy all the great things Destin has to offer. The best asset of the Destin area is the incredibly beautiful beaches, and we can’t think of a more versatile location as a central place to take advantage of a vacation destination. Hopefully, we’ll be returning to Destin, and if we do, we will return to this property!

Denise and Brian - Thank you for opening your beautiful home to our family. We had a wonderful time. The house is spacious and not one detail is left out. Each night we sat around the kitchen making appetizers and eating dinner and enjoying are children. The walk to the beach was needed every day to get that bit of excercise and each day we stopped by the pool to get the salt water and sand off. The best vacation we've taken in a long time. I would recommend this home to anyone. Denise made our stay a very enjoyable one with suggestions for restaurants and things to keep our two-year old son occupied. From the moment we rented the house, everything was handled in a very professional manner. The best part, everything on the advertisement at VRBO was just as it was during the week. We had a very relaxing at the Avalon Drive home. The owners were wonderful to communicate with and everything that we needed was available to us. The layout of the home was just right for two small families and plenty of space for cooking meals. The day room was great for quiet reading and worked perfectly for a playroom for our little one. The neighborhood pool was fabulous and very quiet. The neighbors were friendly and informative. Great location in regards to a few great restaurants to check out. The beach was a nice, long walk from the home- but a very short ride from the neighborhood entrance allowing plenty of beach front parking. We had a great week there and would love to return.

The house is beautiful and in great location for beach access. We shared the house with another family and it was spacious enough that we all had our private space and plenty of room for 3 teenagers. The house had everything we needed from dishes to beach chairs. The community pool is very handy and a great break from the sand and saltwater. Denise was so helpful with our question prior to our arrival and gave us a great list of helpful tips for restaurants and road trips. The neighbors in the area were most friendly and made us feel very welcome. We all had an awesome time and can’t wait for our next trip.

This is a beautifully landscaped and decorated home. The spacious open floor plan allows one to prepare meals and still be part of family and guests' activities. This is a fabulous, tastefully decorated home in the upscale beach community of Avalon Estates. We enjoyed the open floor plan of the home for entertaining and spending time with family and friends. We enjoy the private access beach and beautiful emerald waters of the Gulf. We also love the pool and tennis courts. It is also great to walk to Pompano Joe's for some beachfront dining. We look forward to our next trip to your beautiful home!
